to those negative one’s if u can’t say something positive then don’t say at all. To the Dominica Cricket Association(DCA), I’m very disappointed on your non release of a statement to the family.Samuel represented us very well. To the family take courage and keep the faith in God alone. It is possible for him to do the unthinkables.

Pinky and Andy I really hope they can find you guys, haven’t seen you in years but I remember the times we spent together as kids playing by the bay, catching crabs and going fishing with your dad. Its been a really rough couple of days knowing that my aunt may have potentially lost her two boys. Please everyone let’s pray for them, and all you people out there stop the negative comments. If you don’t have anything good to say don’t say anything at all

Some of you need to shut ur ignorant mouths. Pinky is a real fisherman. So real in fact , he has been know to skip national team trials to go fishing. Was his passion. And as a young man, in this day and age when all they want is fast money, I was proud of him. Hoping for his n his brother. Safe return

Fishing is BIG risk, you know! Every now and then, one of our fishermen goes missing, especially in the north and north-east. The Fisheries Division needs to address this matter; it is becoming too frequent. Soon, we may not have any more young men willing to venture out to sea. Have mercy on them, Lord!

Prior to setting out on a fishing trip, they should be aware of the weather pattern as also the strength of the water.
Keep praying for them everyone. Keep up the godly spirit. I pray and hope that nothing happened to them.
Lord, if they are lost and are trying to find their way home or to safe ground, please guide them safely back.

Our family wish for their safe return …..It should be mandatory that every boat on the water carries a flare, that way when they are in distress it can be fired into the air and alert others.

Why does every accident at sea have to be suspicious? If you do not know anything about the people involved, why not shut up? Pinky, his brother and entire family are outstanding members of the Portsmouth community. Picky (Samuel) represented Dominica as a cricketer in 2008. They come from a fishing family. Their father is a fisherman, their uncle with one arm is an outboard engine mechanic, their uncle works at the coast guard, another uncle is a fisherman and they have other cousins who are either sea captains or fishermen.

These young men went out to set a FAD (Fish Attracting Device, what you guys call “bway”) and never returned. So please, if you know nothing about these young men, say nothing and have some respect for the family.

Well said, I believe people need to know when, where how and what to say in certain situations. If you dont have any thing positive to say at this time then “SHUT UP”. There is a family grieving for their loved ones. NEVER LOSE HOPE.

These are actually outstanding hard working fishermen who come from a sea going family. Samuel is also represented Dominica as a cricketer. http://www.espncricinfo.com/westindies/content/player/333036.html

How many engines do you expect them to have .

      • Portsmouth resident
        February 3, 2014

I think the person was just expressing their concern and obviously they do not know better. A better answer from you would have been to explain that the open single keel boat only designed to accommodate one engine… may the young men be safe at sea and found sooner rather than later… my heart goes out to the parents

Not all Dominicans are so call fishermen.

So because your neighbour do something, we should be suspicious of you too?

We have true fisher men in Portsmouth and these two young brothers followed their dad foot step in that form of employment.
