To celebrate forty years of painting in the Caribbean, international award winning painter and sculptor Roger Burnett will be exhibiting a collection of his recent work at the Old Mill Cultural Centre from June 21st to July 6th.

The collection includes over 40 paintings and 10 sculptures that complement the artist’sseries of works titled, Daughters of the Caribbean Sun.  But the exhibition is more than just paintings on walls and sculptures on plinths.  The program of events include: demonstrations, films, panel discussions, interviews, poetry readings and music.

Whereas most artists in their seventieth year are looking towards retrospective exhibitions, Roger Burnett says he looks to the future with A New Lease of Life.

Roger is extremely talented and a very good teacher. We are lucky to have him here in Dominica. This exhibition and the events that accompany it should be very interesting and a pleasure to view.
