New reggae release from AbiYah Yisrael, “Protect me”

Sometime in February following an intense Shabbat meditation, Dominican producer Obadyah was inspired and began skanking on his guitar. Allowing the vibrations to take their course, a one drop beat along with a bass line was created. Once completed, the track was sent over to Poland where Jazz Pianist and producer Eryk Nowak placed the organ bubble and piano strum. Once the rhythm section was in place the track landed in the ears of  AbiYah and she started a melodic fire that ChaYah Studios would love to share.

AbiYah in “Protect Me” delivers powerful lyrics and inspirational words with high spiritual undertones as she chants a prayer twined with the Psalms of King David.

AbiYah, when sharing her thoughts on “Protect Me”, said

“I believe there is a time in someone’s life where they experience adversity, opposition, hate, envy from anyone who does not understand that person’s purpose, lifestyle, etc. That negativity can come from anyone – family, friends, people you’ve never even met, system policies or even a whole other ethnic group. I’ve experienced it and I’m sure many of you all have. Like my ancestor King David who had to run to the rocks to hide from King Saul, so too I am asking the rock,Yahshua, to protect  and deliver me. I hope you do the same.”

AbiYah is a fresh, talented singer from the Commonwealth of Dominica who has been gracing the reggae world from 2017. Following her debut video release of “Herb Tree” in 2020, she has then since been consistently releasing music that resonates at principle seat of the soul. In her own words “I don’t sing vanity; my mission is to uplift humanity”.

The track was recorded and mixed at ChaYah Studios and mastered by Dernel “Dernz” Green.
