I never heard of this former government minister before I went to visit my family member at the Groto, I saw him next to my uncle and I was told he was a former government minister in the DLP of Patrick John. Shame labor has been in office for 20 yrs and not only did they not build a house for him but they never called his name

@ Me, Under what sad occasion? To say the man was a former government minister in a DLP cabinet and the present DLP ignored the man, is wrong? The government should have reached out to the man in a BIG when he was alive and they didn’t! PJ the former PM is getting that same kind of treatment today. I feel is all of these things and more that causing us to always under the sword

There we go again yours is the the thought, and sentiment of the typical Dominican mentality.

Dominican have become so dependent on government that they believe if nature calls and they need to go to the bathroom or over a pit hole in their backyard to defecate, without the government initiating the BM (bowel movement), they will not be able to defecate without Roosevelt putting his hands in it.

One have to be careful when people running for a political job come and tell you vote for me I am going to do this and that!

Here is the example a former government minister ended up in the poor house, although he has children.
If Memory serves me correctly he has a Wesley connection, his mother might be Gater, if that’s the case he might be a former Mayor of Roseau too.

If he could not provide for himself while he was in government, and I don’t mean by stealing; how could he  have built the country?

      • August 19, 2019

Here we go again another one that think he know so much Francisco you are all big mouth and like to jump the gun just an many others take time and get to know people you get on line and spread rumors like you say typical Dominican know where someone is from before you talk Patrick was the mayor and as far as I know Active could always provide for himself but we know how that goes when you get old nobody want you when you young and have money every body with you I know Active in River Street .his wife have a son from Marigot that use to drive a bus by the name of Alick

Well, if he could provide for himself, how come he ended up in a place for the aged, and poor better considered a poor house, when he is supposed to have Children?

I am beginning to age, hence I have ensured that I do not end up in a “convalescence home;” ” a poor house.”

I will live to more than a hundred: However, have enough money invested in ventures that cannot fail unless the bottom of the economy of the United States falls apart, and the country collapse!

That is what a man with a big mouth does for himself.

And if you think I do not know the man; asks yourself why did he receive a vicious beating by someone next to the Carib Cinema; and why?

You need to shut up okay!

I said he was a Mayer also, what is wrong with that?

Who cares whether Patrick was a Mayer, he actually suffered the same fate as this guy in question.

          The concept evades you!

          • August 21, 2019

Well yes you can save all your money when you can but in the end is someone else that will spend it for you don’t know a thing about Dominica where you are out in California USA you think this is a poor house because it is in Dominica that is how it was referred to years ago and just to show you are not up to date with modern times when you get there you will cross that bridge you hope to live to be 100 good luck.

If it looks like a duck, supported by a duck, it must be a duck!

A duck by any other name is still a duck oui!

Poor house by any other name is still a poor house eh!

It seems to me that you know plenty about the dead man; however a couple years ago when the body of Whipple  White from Marigot was found dead in St. Lucia, and the government of St. Lucia was trying to find his relatives in Dominica; unsuccessfully.

I wrote that his wife Ursula is from Wesley, I mentioned their children name; no one respond, after that I mentioned the very Arnold  Actieve who’s mother is Ursula’s aunt.

You did not respond, where were you?

Ursula at this very moment is over seventy years old residing at that place in Dominica you call Wall House; I found that out yesterday.

I doh know how a place can name Wall House!

Let the man rest in peace now!

He also had a house in new town I think.

Arnold was a double amputee and had to be sent to the Dominica Infirmary which was better equipped to care for him. He did have a house in upper Canefield which is where he lived with his wife before being sent to the Infirmary. His wife still lives in their house.

Thank you Paul and I think that Dod should stop let the man rest in peace and stop adding his shame full comment on some one he does not know even to go as far as saying that the man was beaten at the back of Carib cinema shame on you Dod that what you are the real Dod its time to put this to rest if any one know Active well is Paul Green thank you let the man rest in peace.
