Online classes may have to continue for rest of term says PM Skerrit

Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit has said that online classes for students across the island may have to continue for the rest of the term.

Following the recent Covid-19 surge, students were once again instructed to attend school from home through the online learning platform.

“Online learning is a challenge and I understand this. I emphasize with all of you the parents, but the reality is, it is safer now to keep it online for the time,” he said. “And I will suggest that we may very well have to keep online for the rest of the term and look to January.”

He said this is safer for the students because although the cases have dropped, there are still new cases emerging.

“We have to protect the children at all costs,” the prime minister stated.

He said the Ministry of Education is regularly reviewing, assessing and evaluating the situation, “and if we believe that school can reopen physically/face-to-face in November then I will be happy for that.”

Mr. Skerrit needs to sign up or join some of these classes. The man is so daft and incoherent that even to say ‘Thank you’ he has to read it from a prepared script.

You can tell when he is on radio without his script. It’s arm – arm – arm and more arm. One day he was on radio giving a speech. I started counting the number of times he used ‘arm’. After five minutes he was up to forty one (41) ‘arm’. I got so disgusted that I stopped counting.

For once I agree with the PM that schools should be opened in January.

They are only seat holders, but very expensive ones at that. Corruption in every corner.

I know Skerrit made it clear in Grandbay that the current 17 ministers he now has in his cabinet CANNOT help him, none of them can represent Dominica in any capacity abroad because they are all very incompetent and that’s why he brought in Vince Henderson to help him. But dear God, you mean to tell me that our Education minister is so incompetent that she can’t even make an announcement regarding her ministry? Awa man that’s damn embarrassing

He should have sent Melissa as she has no portfolio and collects her big, fat cheque every month for doing absolutely nothing.

      Two Questios:
What is this lady’s purpose in Cabinet?
What is her highest academic achievement? Seriously!
