By now many of you have heard of this new innovative company called, “Call Me – The Trusty Taxi For Retirees” and would like to get some more information on this business model that has long been overlooked in our society.
Call Me materialized out of a desire to make life less stressful for the elderly and the retired among us by giving them one of the most basic gifts that they are usually deprived of as they move into their twilight years. This is the gift of mobility. To go anywhere they choose to by simply picking up the phone and reaching out to someone who will care for and cherish them whilst taking them to the destination of their choice safely and on time, every time .
At Call Me, we pride ourselves on the famous words of Carl W. Buechner when speaking of the elderly: “They may forget what you said, but they will never forget how you made them feel.” Our aim is to always make them feel accepted, appreciated, loved, and cherished whilst taking them on their journey.
Care giving often calls us to lean into love we did not know possible and quite frankly few people today know how to cope with the stress of aging while still showing that love. The proprietor of Call Me, who has seen her fair share of transportation limitations and in some instances, plain abuse of the elderly, was moved to create a service that is second to none to fill that void.
So retirees Call Me for all your transportation needs. We can be reached at 767-285-8700.
Our brochures speak of the services we offer. Call Me today!
Excellent! Keep up the good work….a needed service!
Great initiative by this wonderful lady. Our elderly citizens deserve more than to be in a sweaty bus with a loud stereo blasting rap music.
Finally! Wonderful!
Long overdue if you ask me. Kuddos to the visionary person who came up with this great idea but we all know right now some unscrupulous person is already trying to steal it especially those politicians and their immediate family…smmfh. I sure will utilize this service for my elderly retired parents from here on out. Bye Bye to these rude, selfish and san-honte (patois) bus drivers especially those on the west coast who believe they too will never get old.
This is a commendable initiative and it comes at a time when I wondering how many more driving years I have left in me.
Angela, a very commendable initiative. Horses for courses as the saying goes, No disrespect to our hard working bus drivers but not every one wants to sit in a packed vehicle with a sound system going full blast, and inhaling unwelcome whiffs. certainly not at a certain age. I wish this service could be extended to include the airport.
Pipo the airport is included; it’s the last entry on the flyer.
You are quite right MelMel. I put it in as a provocative teaser really in an attempt to break an apparent monopoly by “approved” airport taxi operators. Why is it that you are charged per person and our “taxis” are not metered, as should be the norm.
I like it!!!!! Glad to know that there are options available for my mom. Congrats and thanks for starting such a service in DA. We need more individualized services such as this especially in times of pandemic. I will support your services next time she visits the island.
