Authorities in Dominica say the southern section of the island suffered the most damage from the passage of Tropical Storm Chantal.

On Tuesday afternoon Dominica News Online took a road trip to Soufriere to take a look at the damage.

Below are some photos taken during the trip.

The Pole in image #4 appeared to have been structurally weak pre-storm. Domlec needs to do more routine maintenance on the poles.

Anyway public works need to cut some of the trees hanging over the road. Some of the areas really dark and cause a real threat esp in times like these.
