Police investigate homicide in Morne Bruce and shooting in Mero

The Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force (CDPF) is carrying out investigations into Dominica’s first suspected homicide for 2023, and robbery at Mero which left one man nursing a gunshot wound at the Dominica China Friendship Hospital (DCFH).

Police Inspector Fixton Henderson revealed that police have commenced an investigation into the suspected homicide of a 36-year-old Morne Bruce man.

According to Inspector Henderson, on January 14, 2023, sometime after midnight, Ned James Ettinoffe  was found lying on his back on a flight of concrete steps at Morne Bruce  with an open wound to the front of his right elbow.

“He was unresponsive and appeared to be dead,” the police Inspector stated. “He was subsequently examined and pronounced dead that same morning at the scene by a medical doctor. His body is being kept at a funeral home pending an autopsy.”

He revealed that one man is in police custody assisting the police with their investigation in this matter.

Henderson also reported that on the evening of January 13,  about 7:40 p.m, two masked male individuals each armed with a firearm entered and robbed a mini mart in Mero known as Titanium Groceries of over $3,000.00 in cash, Inspector Fixton Henderson reported.

“During the robbery the owner of the mini-mart, Stanford Valerie, male adult of St. Joseph was shot to the back of his head. He was transported to the Dominica China Friendship Hospital, where he is receiving medical attention,” Henderson disclosed.

He expressed condolences on behalf of the CDPF to the family and friends of the deceased Ned James Ettinoffe and wished Stanford Valerie a speedy and full recovery.

Welcome to the Crime Island of the Caribbean. All you who thought it would get any better, well here is the reality. Under this CM things won’t improve. The Militia ‘investigate’ forever but unfortunately hardly come up with any results let alone successful prosecution. The only use they have is body guarding the CM and the cabal.

The same things are happening in London and Bristol and even worse. Running away to London makes no damn difference. Out of the fire into the frying pan. Crimes are everywhere we are. I hope you were not just born.

Are they now? And what might be the rate for serious crime in DA (in %) compared to that of the UK or say Germany? You wouldn’t know, would you? Imagine we were to take all the serious fraud that’s conducted in the financial centre… You see where I’m coming from, toilet duck? You got yourself a modern day sodom and gomorrah in the Caribbean!!!!!!

Any time poverty increases crime is right behind spreading it’s evil tentacles among the unrighteous and ungodly. A crime riddle police force only makes matters multiply.

Fifteen days into 2023 there is a murder: and thievery! They are reducing the population of the country by murdering people; these killers are tools of satan with absolutely no conscience.

Carnivores; beast of prey only kill when they are hungry; Dominican, ‘human-animals’ kills people simply because they are blood hungry, and simply like to see blood!

Society should always determine the destiny of such criminals; if they know their fate for killing is death by hanging, or electrocution, or gassed in a gas-chamber; perhaps they may find another way to settle their differences; or detour them from randomly killing their human prey!

One of the reason crime is out of control in the country is because the judiciary is soft on crime; one who wantonly takes the life of another should be executed either by hanging or electrocution.

It is happening every second in America. What is your argument?

ds; you little fictitious crab; only an insane person would make comparisons with crime of murder committed in America, and that tin Domnica. As of this minute there are 335,930,370 people registered and known to the government living in America.

In Dominica there are approximately thirty thousand residences. Here is an example Memphis Tenn. with a very large population 306 homicides the homicide rate was 48.7 per 100,000
        .Detroit 303 homicides
        .Milwaukee, Wis. 195 homicides
        ,Atlanta 159
Las Vegas. closer to home 152 homicides, and that statistic range between 1990-2023.
Los Angeles rank #22 on the list with 34.92 homicide cases per capita comparing 2022 to 2023 was -0.13. Oakland ranked higher.

In any event boy, I am talking about cities and states comprising millions of residences to Dominica’s handful of people.

A murdered person in America may not be missed, for a long time Dominica the person is missed instantly!

Homicide again, they should know that life is precious and should be the respected remember the sixth commandment thou shall not kill. They are going too easy on these murders that’s killing for them is like a joke. No bail should be granted and maximum punishment.

Another murder and another shooting? Right now I Dow even know what to say. I am tired of saying RIP and condolences to those who mourn. Truth is as long as we continue to have Skerrit as PM and Savarin as his president things will just continue to get worse in the commonwealth, especially when we use the holy bible for known wicked people like the duo above to administer oaths, knowing that proverbs 29:2 says “When the wicked leadeath the people mourn”. So the people of Dominica are mourning and will continue to mourn because we have two wicked people with no conscience leading our country

Yes, it is Dominica’ s first suspected homicide for 2023 but to better understand the work of demons, the blood shed and sad deaths taking place on island we have to go back to the last 16 days you know.
We ended 2022 with two women being murdered by their lovers. We started 2023 with one committed suicide according to the police. Then the sad drowning of a former calypsonian.
Then we heard of the young man that got killed by a tree he was cutting.
Today is the sad death of the young man that ran off the road with the vehicle he was driving and then another homicide in Mourn Bruce and then two masked men shot the owner of a business in the small community of Mero. Do you all understand the amount of blood shed on island these days? Sad thing is before we sympathize with loved ones or even bury a deceased it’s time to sympathize with another family. In the midst of all of we have yet to find the 13 year old Ettienne girl and yet to bury Keyan Alexander, who was killed by the…

Folks many of you don’t want to hear it but the devil must get paid.

This country is sick, and as long as the REST Cabal remains in office we cannot and will not see our way. More sacrifices must take place to keep the jumbie satisfied. Those who can must now unite to remove that evil spell by any means necessary.

Hot debate. What do you think? Thumb up 11 Thumb down 8

What is really provoking these odious murders and robberies? Three (3) murders already and just about halfway in the first month of the year. I hope not, but it seems as though this year is destined to be a record year of homicides.

Five things a government should be laser focus on: food security, job security, first class health system, state of the art education system, and an iron clad security and safety system. Disappointingly, all five are presently in the worst state ever.

Heartfelt condolences to the shooting victim and the family of the deceased. My question is when will the blood letting stop?

Death, gunplay, hardship, misery and grief reign in Dominica after the spurious national election.

The inexplicable silence of the authoritarian regime is unconscionable. The situation screams out for urgent attention. But not as much as a word from the man of a high place.

What is most alarming is that there are no new crime fighting initiatives from the ‘police service’. The citizens and residents remain like sitting ducks completely at the mercy of the brazen criminals. I am hereby praying fervently for divine intervention.
