A police officer, Marvin Daniel of Anse Soldat is now on a $5,000.00 bail after he pleaded not guilty to two charges brought against him by the police.
It is alleged that on August 10, 2022, at Anse Soldat, Daniel assaulted one of his colleagues, police Constable Delroy Jno Charles during the execution of the Constable’s duty. He was also charged with obstructing Constable Jno Charles while in the execution of his duties.
The offenses allegedly occurred while members of the Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force (CDPF) were conducting a search of Daniel’s home and he was later arrested on the strength of a warrant.
Following his not guilty plea to the charges at his court appearance on September 2, 2022, his attorney, Cara Shillingford-Marsh, presented Eutychus Fabien as her client’s proposed surety.
After Fabien was examined, presiding Magistrate, Michael Laudat, deemed him a fit and proper surety and bail was granted in the aforementioned amount.
Police Prosecutor, Inspector Davidson Cadette, stated that the prosecution had no conditions that they wished to attach to the officers bail.
The matter was adjourned to November 11, 2022, for trial at the Wesley Magistrate’s Court.
There is a Taliban Government in Afghanistan that rules by tyranny. Similarly, we have a sister Taliban Government in Dominica.
Both have the same genetic traits. The two are corrupt, lawless, clueless, brutal, egocentric, avaricious and demonically evil.
Both, the two poster boys of insane incompetence and wickedness against their own.
Any civil servant that doesn’t t tow the line of the ‘I Run Tings’ despot, usually have his suffer the wrath of the dumbest prime minister in the history of Dominica, probably the world.
Gleaning from the scanty facts thus far, there seems to be a vendetta against this officer, targeted for scurrilous attacks from the powers that be.

Life, presently in Dominica, is wretched. It has been turned on its head by one ultra-selfish man and his cult-like devotees.

Living conditions on the island will always remain volatile, turbulent and austere, as long as this rogue character maintains his vice grip hold on the enormous power of the state.

In very recent times, these members of the Roosevelt’s deadly malitia, have murdered an unarmed man in their custody; riddled the body of a defenceless civilian’ with live ammunition; beat a peaceful bus driver unconscious; physically assaulted a protester and his elderly mother; and this list of untoward behavior is not near exhaustive.
Unsurprisingly, all these thugs easily made bail, given by a court that is no longer a trusted arbitrator.

Skerrit, Blackmoore and Daniel Carbon will one day pay for what they have done and what they are doing to Dominicans that support the Skerrit corruption.
This charge is bogus, political and devilish. Truth is officer Daniel has been barrassed by the Skerrit force because he doesn’t support corruption. Daniel legally entered the ports of Ans de mail from a neighboring french island and followed the legal procedure and declared his goods through the customs at the port. All of a sudden the Skerrit army landed on him and wants to search him for drugs and firearms. One of the officers slapped him on his face and the man brought some powdered milk from the French island and the officers decided to check every time of milk even if they were new and sealed. So the officers decided to just pour the man’s milk on the floor as if the milk was for dogs. Officers must respect people’s right and stop playing politics with fellow officers man
I predicted last year after Carbon was unceremoniously told to take his leave and the garbadine gang started jockeying for position that police will soon start arresting, beating, intimidating and finally shooting each other. I am calling on the minister of national security to send all officers above the rank of confirmed Superintendent on leave immediately and appoint Mr. Weeks acting Commissioner. If not then appoint current lay magistrate Laudat as Commissioner and Weekes as Deputy for a period of one year minimum.
The Police force is headed for the Abyss along with the government and this is not good. All attempts must be made to re-orient the energies of the force immediately. Call back Supt. Andrew, Supt. Alfred and Butcher (Insp. St. Jean) on contract for two years in the first instance so you have a command staff that can work quickly. They should be empowered to bring back some retired Sargents to help especially in the out districts. The force is crying for help…
What the was for have nothing to do with the charges.The most important thing is that the warrant was signed authorising the officers to search the premisses.If items contained in the warrant are not round,and items found which the police BELIEVE to be illegally obtained,or constitute a crime,such items can be seized.I believe Daniel should allow the police to do their job peacefully.I also believe nothing liable to seizure was found.I further believe Daniel is not well trained.

You see, Dcans seems not be looking at the broader picture when such things that can seriously impact our national security happens. This is a case that should be closely watched. When police start arresting police, or police start attacking police whatever the case may be here we as a nation are headed down a sleepry slope.
The police force is the most divided government institution as of today with at least three major factions (shhhhhhh). The former Acting ACP who is actually a Superintendent is allegedly on pre-retirement leave and the HIGH profile cases he investigated are doomed to be dismissed because I doubt he will return and testify. We now have a few rouge young inspectors vying for promotions and may god help us. This gives Skerro the PERFECT excuse to formulate another security agency which he has long contemplated. Are we witnessing the atmosphere for a new DDF under the command of a now senior gazetted police officer from the east? Remember I said so.
How come when the police officer brutalized the man during the bus driver strike there wasn’t even a charge brought against the offending policeman. If he was taken to court for what he did and the court let him get away scot-free then fine, at least I could see that justice was attempted. It stinks to high heaven when such high profile abuse in full view of the world is not even prosecuted. Glad to read that the rogue policemen was charged with trying to be above the law. Let’s see what the judicial system comes back with.

the officer that kicked the bus driver like a dog during the protest was actually transferred from his desk job upstairs HQ where he should have been during the protest to a specialized department where he is more likely to kick and brutalize more people for the cabal. He got his wish because he has nothing else to prove. He will soon be promoted.
Hey the positive thing is he is now “legitimately” getting some of those extra allowances but being there as an NCO makes his foot more accurate when aimed at one’s derieare (?) since he has limited supervision. That is dangerous if you ask me :-(
