Four men in the Bath Estate area are assisting the police department with the investigations of the murder of Marcus Fagan of Silver Lake, Deputy Police Chief, Lincoln Corbette has said

“The police have been actively investigating the matter, not taking any rest; we’ve been pushing very hard. There are four men from the Bath Estate area assisting us with our investigations,” he told the media on Friday. “We are going to pursue this matter with all the vigour and strength and courage that we already have. We won’t stop until we are sure we have left no stone unturned.”

Fagan was shot in the vicinity of a grocery shop at Bath Estate on the night of July 21st. Security footage of the shooting which has been released, shows that the victim was shot by a masked individual.

Corbette stated that one of the four men who’s assisting the police in this investigation, came to the police escorted by his attorney.

These senseless murders must stop. Every murderer must be hunted down and be brought before a court of law to face the harshest penalty. Many times the murdered victim is the only breadwinner of his family. So many other people are deprived of a living. The members of the murdered victim’s family not only go through emotional turmoil but financial as well. Any citizen that has evidence of this murder should assist the police in bringing this human monstrosity to justice. Only when every citizen plays his/her part will the crime rate significantly decrease.

In the Dominica of today where investigating officers have been known to be an extended arm of some political party, it’s almost impossible to trust what they say because of political interference and at times criminals are employed by the NEP to do the work of beloved politicians that at times need one of their employees to cover some stinking dead dog for them. Now if one person was helping the police with the investigation I would be a little hopeful. But 4 FOUR? Most times to confuse the investors one will say is the other or, the innocent one will say he did it and be charged only to hear case dismissed for lack of evidence or some political or legal interference. But whatever be the case, let’s not forget a lot of Dominicans are employed under the nep program, and NEP workers not always cutting grass on the roadside.
DNO it raining and we can’t go out so please process our comments so we could cope with being bored.
