Police seize over $13 million worth of cocaine in Loubiere

Acting Assistant Commissioner of Police, Jeffrey James said police has seized 510 kilograms of cocaine in the Loubiere area earlier this month, with a street value of over $13 million.

According to him, the Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force (CDPF) continues to engage in crime prevention operations in compliance with its mandate.

“On May 1, 2024, officers on patrol duty discovered and seized 510kg of cocaine on the Everton Estate in the Loubiere area,” James revealed. “The street value of the cocaine is estimated at Thirteen million seven hundred and seventy thousand Eastern Caribbean dollars.”

He said certain individuals were interviewed in relation to the seizure, however, no one has been charged in connection with the seizure.

James stated that investigations are continuing in this matter.

“The police will not relent in its quest to maintain law and order and will pursue offenders on land and sea with a view to bringing them to justice,” James remarked.

Furthermore, he said the Chief of Police commends the officers for their dedication and commitment to duty.

Excellent work, Officers. Thank you very much.

My goodness! Can you imagine the damage this quantity of drugs would do to our youth?

We need to find the persons importing cocaine and crack into Dominica and put them in prison for life, or make them disappear!
These drug lords are doing more harm to Dominica and damage to Dominica’s human resources then any other evil. But we are never hearing of such culprits, why not?

OK! Somebody will have to pay for that so watch out folks and my gut feeling is that it’s not gonna be nice. Big bust in Castle Bruce, one up north and now this one in a matter of one month? Well like the saying goes; when rouges and vagabonds fall out, just men get their rewards.

Hope those talkative cops don’t sell out their informants eh. But nonetheless, I want to say kudos to the police for a job well done. Mr. Valerie can take a bow because since taking over I can see some positive results. If he can only pullout his nose from the rear end of the SOS and stay focused on fighting crimes he will prove some of the doubters wrong. 8)
