Local trade unionist Rawlings Jemmot says Dominicans should use this Christmas season as a time for healing.
Jemmot says now that general elections are over the nation should be focussing on unity.
“We should work together hand in hand to develop our country; the country is a young country coming up. The question of hate we have for each other, we should forget about it,” he said.
Jemmot’s statement comes amid suggestions that the general elections may have trimmed down the feeling of Christmas in Dominica this year.

Jemmot, it was wrong to call an election so close to Christmas, it was aimed at dividing the people.
Anyway there is not enough industrial action in Dominica because allu just take what you get, do like St.Lucia, they go on strike every month. My Christmas wish is for Dominicans to find their balls under the Christmas tree cuz no one is gonna do anything for you.
Merry Christmas to one and all.
