Claudius Sanford gives Hector John a vote of confidence

Sanford

Deputy Leader of the United Worker Party (UWP) Claudius Sanford has endorsed the appointment of Hector “Spaggs” John as their new parliamentary leader.

The party’s leader Ron Green made that announcement at a press conference planned by the UWP last week Wednesday.

Sanford said the decision to choose John as opposition leader is a positive move in a progressive direction.

Sanford is confident that  John will continue to work with the party to ensure that issues affecting the country are addressed.

“The country needs leadership. We have issues of crime, money laundering, non- production in our productive sector. The agriculture sector is on a decline. Our food safety and sustainability is in question, the tourism sector is left in the hand of the private sector… I believe we have issues in the country that needs to be addressed with urgency and to have the energy of the new leader is a move in the right direction,” he said.

You must endorse him because you want to be senator. It is crucial for hector to select his four senators

I suggest ron, claudius, leanthia, ronnie

Claudius, when are you going to stand up and take advantage of the opportunity to bring the issues of the Kalinago to the forefront? You are a good speaker; you are educated, full of youth; yet you allow others in your party to marginalise your capabilities as a leader. Is Deputy Leader good enough for a Carib?

If you are not prepared to fight for your own position, how can you defend your people? I see no reason for the promotion of an enemy of the English language as the mouthpiece of the disgruntled over you. You need to stake your claim for recognition.

Normally, when such developments take place certain economic indicators emerge to indicate affirmation or diasgreement with the decision and its potential for economic improvement or decline. has that happen in Dominica. Has the local private sector indicated its pleasure or otherwise with the appointment of Spaggs as leader. Are they confident that he can promote meaningful change in the fortunes of our country?

There is hope for the future of Dominica, with young men like John and Standford willing to serve, be humble and develope yourselves. Be patient and work towards the rejuvination of your party. Encourage the youth to take an interest in the development of the country.

Wash your foot grab a mic and you could be qualified to run my country.I love to see young people move forward but it look like the political arena is like a lottery and not from the heart like how it used to be.

    lol @ shy…dude u’re barely literate….

Now obviously like a good soldier, Sanford is going to say he supports John (in public) but I wouldn’t be surprised if there is some jealousy there. Think about it, Sanford has been on the scene for years, was at one point considered such a formidable candidate it was rumoured that the DLP was trying to buy him.

As Deputy Leader of the UWP it actually looked quite feasible that he would eventually be our first Carib PM. Fast forward to July 2010 and dude doesn’t even have a seat!!

All of a sudden, Hector John (who is really Earl Williams’ substitute) is the face of the UWP comeback movement, and Leader of the Opposition in Parliament.

There goes Sanford’s dreams of being PM…Poor dude….

This is just me reasoning logically lol…..
