Reports are surfacing that Denise Charles has been tipped to contest the Soufriere constituency on a Dominica Labour Party ticket in the upcoming by-election following the sudden resignation of former MP, Ian Pinard.
Pinard resigned earlier this week citing allegations leveled against him.
No one was named to take his place but he said the would have a say in selecting his replacement.
Several party hacks in the constituency have told DNO that Charles is presently being seriously considered to contest the seat.
However, it appears that no final decision has been made, at least for now.
Charles, from Pointe Michel, was part of Pinard’s campaign team before the 2014 general election.
She is a director at the AID Bank and the Public Works Garage.
DNO is following this unfolding development and will publish information when it becomes available.
