The Dominica Freedom Party (DFP) extends congratulation to Dr. Keith Mitchell and his New National Party on their landslide victory at the polls in the Grenada general election held on Tuesday, February 19, 2013.

The people of Grenada have spoken very clearly to the world that they prefer performance and result oriented government over personality and personal gain by giving Dr. Mitchell and the New National Party a decisive victory to take over the reigns of government and to move their country forward for the next five years.

The Dominica Freedom Party wish also to compliment the people of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique for exercising their franchise in such a peaceful and purposeful manner and advise that they remain united and engaged to tackle together the many challenges confronting their country

The Dominica Freedom Party wish Dr. Keith Mitchell and his team well as they prepare to take over the reigns of government amidst the socio – economic crisis confronting Grenada, the Region and the International community. The DFP recommends that a people’s centered approach to development will help significantly with transparency, honesty, the rule of law, justice and accountability.

We are confident that the return of Dr. Keith Mitchell to government will help strength the regional integration movement and the OECS and Caricom will benefit from his wealth of knowledge and experience.

I can tell you, as someone who knows him better than most, that Brio would have no problem with Keith Mitchell returning to the post of PM so long as Keith Mitchell intents to do the job to the best of his ability in service of the people with integrity, honesty, no fear or ill will, seeking to promote good governance for the benefit of all Grenadians! Sir Brian has always tried his best to do the same for Dominica and the region and if it meant getting onto the wrong side of TOM, DICK or HARRY because of his desire to dispense justice fairly and honestly, then that would not deter him in any way. Sir Brian is not one to hold ‘grudges’ against persons because of their personal feelings or decisions. I can assure you of that!!!!!!

I always have a good laugh when I read stories from Dominica. DFP congratulates Dr. Keith Mitchel…. DFP?

When St. Lucia Labor Party won: DLP congratulated.

When Baldwin Spencer won: UWP congratulates.

I just thought that the sitting PM would congratulate all.

The DFP needs to identify itself. Stand up and be counted. For example in this congratulary message, there is no one’s name from FDP.
Let us hear more from you guys and give us reason to vote for you again.
    “Rise again.”

DFP…but that is a joke man…The people of Grenada have spoken very clearly to the world that they prefer performance and result oriented government over personality and personal gain

Former PM, Tillman had absolutely no personality…that was his biggest problem…lol..And he gained nothing because iof his lack of personality and emotion.

    DFP, you need some personlity
