At first it looked like a huge impressionable crowd, but then upon closer inspection I see a lot of GAPS between the people. A friend of mine told me that it was mainly people from Portsmouth, Pennville, and Carib Territory that was there. No surprise there!!!

This crowd shows diminished enthusiasm and support for the Labour Party.

TO THE GOOD PEOPLE OF DOMINICA:::::DONT BE FOOLED!!!
I am not at all impressed with this turnout at what Skerrit and company are dubbing as a huge rally…Grandbay alone had 25 busses and 6 dump trucks( I PERSONALLY counted them at Grandbay itself), and remember the rally was at PORTSMOUTH ,,, a place that has embraced DLP for over 50 years (If i am wrong somebody please inform me), so many people from Portsmouth must have been there also….uwp’s meeting at Lagon was MORE IMPRESSIVE BY A VERY LONG SHOT!!!
The opposition just has to continue to do their work, and I hope CARBON AND THE REST, ALLOW THE UWP and the DFP, to exercise their rights as POLITICAL PARTIES in the same way the are allowing the most corrupt party in the Commonwealth (the DLP) to do!!!
ONCE AGAIN about 60% of the people (or more) were from just TWO CONSTITUENCIES,, Grandbay and Portsmouth!!!
    SKERRIT MUST GO!!
    SKERRIT MUST GO!!!
    SKERRIT MUST GO!!!

There are parties and Governments in the region that are languishing in the hasbins. Only Jesus that stands to prove me wrong that this DLP and Skerrit and their work and passion to improve lives and the Country’s standing is the absolute best thing that could happen to Dominica. It is a hard grind out there, i live in the region and people would pay to have what Dominicans getting from their government.
GOD bless the DLP and government and its people. Go DLP go. On to new and better things. JAHHHHH.

The UWP ask their supporters to dress in white at lagon my estimation was about Two-to Three Hundred as oppose to Thousands so there you have it

How easily are people brought? a political rally? Triple K , Scrunter etc, it seems like a good reason for a jump up, hence the huge number of attendees!

Dominicans continue to miss the point. Skerrit is leading Dominica down a very dark hole..never mind the crowd coerced by money to attend this spectacle.
Almost like a bizarre fanfare of celebrity, for a Man that has mismanaged and dismantled every single area of production and accountability in Dominica. Mismatched priorities to keep up a facade resembling real growth. Ask the Banks what’s going on, Ask the Farmer and Fisherman what happened to their livelihoods?
Ask the students at the college, where do they hope to find a Job? Ask the young families, how optimistic do they feel for the future of their children..So we can party till the morning, but soon we will have to wake up to the reality of the damage created under this deliberately inept administration. Hope that we can be redeemed for our sins against our future generation..Skerrit simply continues to put on a show of popularity, moving Dominica requires real plans and serious administration..

I was there and the pictures does not do justice representing the amount of people that was there. There was thousands of people present. There was people fulling up all the neighboring streets and no vender could get vex and say they dont sell there food including the woman from possie that said in the town hall meeting all her chicken stay on her for carnival because because of the band generator in the band. she maybe sold a whole trailor truck of chicken. there had more people there than was there in the freedom party rally in 1985 i think it was but the roads was not as crowded because there was not as many motorable vehicles.

People have to remember that the benjamins parlk is the biggest park in the contry and it was starting to look small because of all the people.

    • @DonK May 8, 2017

Thank you so much; but the pictures were quite convincing that there were tens of thousands of people at the rally. I now wonder who are and where is Lennox going to get the support he needs to throw out PM Skerrit?

      May 9, 2017

Zandoli Claywat how well do you know Dominica??? Well this is the largest park on island, which can accommodate thousands of people and trust me it was looking small, plus all streets all nuke and cranny in possie was filled with labourites so everyone was not actually in the park else we would have need another park to take everybody!!!!!! In my estimate we had close to 33,000 people… hope all you UWP (United Wicked People) get the message…. DOMINICA IS REDDDDD NOT BLUE!!!!!

I listened to Matt this morning explaining that Q95 was not politically alligned and that it was a business! I guess that in Dominica, it is anything for a Dollar, to hell with principles, you can beatup on me as long as you just give me some money,or a house! What does this say about the moral fabric, self pride and values of our society? Our ‘corporate citizens’ should also be principled and look for the good of the nation. Everything cannot just be “sorry, it’s just business”. Or is it that everybody has their price? What does this say to the Dominicans who supported Q95 when Q95 was under assault and deprivation by this administration, who stood by them through the thin and hard times?
This is just the first move to reduce the opposition’s access to the air waves, Just wait!!

  21. May 8, 2017

Wow, look at the force of Labour! Now tell me, where is the majority who wants Skerrit out?

  22. May 8, 2017

I see a sea of Red, why? we need to unite the nation not divide between colors , why all the RED?, election is over please no more red or blue, put the colors in the closet till next election, and let’s move on and heal, and build a nation.

Have his say in what? Surely you are not referring to what is contained in your evil mind. Leave God out of your mess.
As if you know the mind of the Almighty. Some of you are presumptuous that God is only in your favor, those who spew hatred on this Website as contained in your mind.

      May 8, 2017

Yet, when your blue leader called for one by the Parliament Building last month, only 6 people showed up. (and they did not have to buy gas to get to Victoria street) What does that tell you?

      • Me
        May 8, 2017

You are confused. That was not a leader who called that, it was members of the public who are sick of the ineptitude of the administration currently in office,

Gas or no Gas the PEOPLE wanted to send a clear message and they did, so in case you all (I know all of all you SLOW) missed the message, it reads….WE THE LABOURITES ARE IN THE MAJORITY, NO ROOM FOR IDIOTS!!!!!!!!!! Hope you get the message so now go tell your bosses!!!!!!!!
