If this is the same banking regs that caused a week of work action by bank workers in Antigua when the new OECS banking regs went before the upper house, it will be interesting to see how the Dominican banking community reacts.

Unfortunately Tom, I am not a friend or paramour of P.M. Roosevelt Skerrit, which would appear to be one of the first prerequites for such a favour.

Congratulatory remarks should be the only thing on the order paper because the KING should praise himself for making the country a beggar nation without demonstration. There should be a lot of congratulating for tear gassing the protesters in Salisbury without provocation and then vowing to arrest them.
WE should all bow to the king and pay homage to him because he is deserving of it. HAIL TO THE KING.

We can only look on with amazement that the Parliament has not met for the past three months, despite the Goverment making numerous announcements on policy and projects without any scrutiny .
This Parliament is a joke and we are living in cloud cookoo land that we have a democracy.

As far as I am concerned, parliamentary meetings are a waste of time. The opposition goes to parliament just to be faced by a cantankerous woman. They over spend the budget, and then ask for supplementary appropriation. The opposition is barred from asking pertinent questions, such as, the national debt, Petro Caribe debt, the Prime Minister’s travels, who was responsible for the Malayia trip and a report of that trip, the state of the economy, who sponsored the Ambassador’s trip, to a foreign land , during the 2014 Independence Celebration. Who authorized the renting of an office in Roseau to Government, knowing that a top ranking Government Official family owns the house. Who authorized the use of expired canisters of tear gas that were used on the people of Salisbury during a protest. If those questions cannot be asked in Parliament, how else are the people of Dominica going to know the truth of those allegations.

Well Doc. Love they are what they are…: ALLEGATIONS!!!!!!!! Does someone have to authorize the Policemen on what they must use to disperse a crowd of RIOTOUS MOBS??? Arrest they y need to arrest them all!!!!!
Then all you saying is a dictator we have leading the country? If all the questions you asked have to be approved by Cabinet then lord help us all!!!

Finally use your head to answer the questions they are not PARLIAMENT type questions!!!!!!

Um….so the kids will continue to be raped en mass? no measures to enact any changes on that front?

Of all the issues plaguing the country…parliament is meeting only to discuss changes to the budget?! I am waiting to hear of an increase to the social services budget to increase investigations, prosecutions, and rehabilitation for both victim and criminal.

Wow Laborites are going to eating “Big Time”. So the toilets before election was good timing.

    • May 23, 2015

Labourites your leader used you to get back in office he really don’t care about you and he will go on doing whatever he wants and in the process destroy Dominica and Dominicans at home and in the diaspora. Unless my people stand up for justice instead of being silent, it’s safe to say Dominicans get the government they deserve . My people Change is a must if Dominica is to survive .
