I am not provincial in my thinking but the St Lucians will do what is best for them. I am happy that Mr. Gonsales is not telling them what project they should concentrate on. If you can recall that he told us we didn’t need a large airport and that philosophy was accepted by us.

If the premier is so smart and has nothing to fear he should at least be reasonable and give the opposing parties some time to plan . Maybe 2 months minimum. This is no way to run a democracy ! The people should protest !!

St.lucians are a smarter society, when u look at the highly ignorant lot in Dominica…

Lucians will take care of their biz, as they have a more thriving economy and much more opened minded than the key hole lot in Dominica…

Hey recap, 17 days notice, NOT 18, TO CORRESPOND WITH 17 constituencies: election date: 666 the 6th day of the 6th month in a year ending in 6. Think about this. The election is more than a year and a quarter early!!! what’s the rush? They see the Lucian people fed up with them so this date will best represent the date to include the mark of the beast. It will not be possible when the election is due next year. You think these people easy? All of them are the same darn kettle of fish, dirty with crooked intentions. What in there none of them want to leave. One thing though the Lucian people not dumb like us, they are aware and prepared to conquer the evil in that country. Lucians want that government out. They also realize the excruciating on wanted unnecessary and unexplained deaths of innocent people most recently which they deduce to be sacrifices to win the Kenny Anthony elections. Governments everywhere selling souls to win elections.

He called the election, so that St. Lucia can decide if they want a change, that’s Democracy

No pissing about in St. Lucia with a general election called within two weeks and ahead of the expiry date of the current government’s term. St. Lucia’s parliament has only 17 seats for a population of 186,000 (…more than two-and-a half times that of Dominica !). During the last election in Nov. 2011, with total 81,556 votes cast, the labour party won 11 seats and the opposition 6 seats, although they accounted for 48 % o of the votes. A scenario like this, in our Westminster style winner-takes-all system, this always calls for trouble where the percentage of votes is not reflected in parliamentary representation, as is also the case in Dominica. I hold that proportional representation is a better servant of democracy, as demonstrated by numerous successful nations in N.W. Europe and to any opponents of this idea I would say “the proof of the pudding is in the eating”.
