Opposition Leader of the United Workers Party (UWP), Lennox Linton, has extended congratulations to the newly elected Team Unity Coalition Party of St. Kitts and Nevis.

“I want to first of all to offer congratulations to the Team Unity Coalition party of St. Kitts and Nevis that was victorious in the elections of Monday the 16th of February 2015,” he said on Wednesday.

Team Unity was swept to power in the polls ending 20 years of rule by the St. Kitts Labour Party.

“Our congratulations and best wishes to the new leader, Dr. Timothy Harris, and his team from the People’s Action Movement, the Concerned Citizens Movement and the People’s Labour Party,” Linton said.

In the election Team Unity won seven seats, while the Nevis Reformation Party won one seat. The St. Kitts Labour Party won three seats.

Harris was sworn in as Prime Minister on Wednesday.

I have always said that eventhough the DLP brought down planeloads to vote for it during the Dec 8th elections, Dominicans still voted overwhelmingly for the party..Look at St. Kitts, the Heartless One, was behind Mr. Douglas’s election campaign…it is alleged that the SKLP brought in planeloads so much so that one plane of voters arrived late and Douglas was trying to have a polling station open for 2 extra hours after closing time so that his voters could cast their vote. But, Douglas’s party still lost because the Kittian masses wanted a change. No number of planeloads of voters could change the outcome of an election, if the locals want a change…the number coming on planes is not enough, no matter how tailored, if the masses want a change…they will always be in the greater number.

Look at how Lennox Linton is so unfair and bias and full of himself .He yet to congratulate the Dominica labour pray ,but hereyes he is congratulating St.Skitts p.m .The same thing he was fighting labour party against talking abut people coming down to vote and that’s why labour won the election so it was to hard for him to congratulate labour on winning. The same thing matter in St.Skitts with people coming down on both sides to vote..
He couldn’t congratulate the p.m for that reason but he can congratulate the St.Skitts p.m :twisted Lennox go sleep you are a not ready to be prime minister .

The change of Government brings hope to the people of Dominica. We no longer live in the age of the monarchy. Democracy is possible in the Caribbean even when the sitting Government try to steal the election by any means possible.

The Lougawooo Mem. you stand to be corrected & I will do so. who are bent on taking our country down the tube, bent on getting richer @ the expense of the poor. That ought to have been written in the past tense. ej who have taken us down………………………..etc.
Everyone knows that we just playing blind . Every D/can knows where the Library is, where the RED CLINIC is. The stadium, passports are in the hands of crooks, traitors ,mafia, opportunists with human faces, even Isis lol ! But not a laughing matter. Every D/can if not all only( those too infirmed to move)have visited the Villa purchased with crab money. Many even those from the diaspora like Muslims making that once in a lifetime trip to Mecca have visited what was supposed to be an EC $400K modest house which some say range from $2 -3 million US. Every Dumb-in -a-can or D/can have heard of the allegations from the land transfer to the London affair. So Lougawooo Mem past tense is the correct tense. LMAO

    Honorable Lennox Linton,

Sir you have demonstrated to your supporters, Dominicans, home and abroad, that you are more than capable in doing the right things for the country. I’m confident the change in St. Kitts/Nevis will inspire you to continue doing what you are gifted to do best, deliver us from corrupted politicians who are bent on taking our country down the tube, bent on getting richer @ the expense of the poor. Keep us informed, expose illegalities, irregularities as it pertain to the governance of our beloved “Nature Isle.” God’s continued guidance and blessings shall see you thru….

    Thank You!!!

    The Lougawooo Mem.

Isn’t that the same person who supported or worked with the St. kitts labourt Party to help them regain power? Just as you congratulate them for having won the election you shouls do the same for the DLP and work with them for a better Dominica.

@Lougawoo Mem, is it not the same Lennox Linton who supported the St Kitts Labour Party very strongly. While he was supporting this party Timothy Harris and his Team were fighting to get rid of what the considered a corupt and oppressive regime. @Lougawoo Mem the Honorable man of which you speak if he had a say in the matter Denzel Douglas would still be in power in St.Kitts. The people of St. Kitts and the Unity party supporters will remember the part Lennox played in trying to keep Denzel Douglas in office……

People power is about politics and having a strategy to fight very tough power addicted leaders who control the bureaucracy, police, media, electoral office, treasury, and even audit and ending up triumphant. People power happens when people decide enough is enough and organize en masse to make things happen. Keep hope alive Dominica.
