This national awards stuff presently is very very politically motivated and bias. Just some of the names ring a massive labour party bell. Where are the hard working sons n daughters? Sporting heroes n stuff… Don’t worry we Dominica strong n we moving on.. Election around the corner, kelly granneau was rejected n ignored by Labour therefore to make him feel good, give him an award. Dominica strong. I

Parry Bellot, for crying out loud, what he received this award for? Parry Bellot, what is the purpose of receiving this award? For protecting Skerrit and keeping him on the trail of a failed, inept Prime Minister, the worse we have seen since Papa Doc and Baby Doc. Parry Calls on radio and talks big time BS and not once he is able to condemn the Bobol activities of this failed Skerrit`s Labour government. It is people like who help to have our Domininca so stained by you failed PM, whom you honour and gave loud accolades for reducing our Domininca and its economy to a state of poverty. You call the top radio in Domininca, Q95 and you do Everytime someone is rightly condemning Skerrit for his political weakness, taking advantage of poor people, through the Red Clinic and as a professional, guess tops in your field, you failed to be this journalist to write through the media, the level of corruption and poverty we have in Domininca going over 20 years now. we are wondering what is it?

In Daniel chapters 1-3:1-17, many were awarded and promoted because they bowed themselves very low to worship Nebuchadnezzar, serve his gods, and worshipped the golden image he had set up. I’m quite sure they were very good worshippers. But unfortunately Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were thrown in the burning fiery furnace because they chose to serve God instead of Nebuchadnezzar.

As I look at the list of awardees above I cannot help but shake my head when I see names like: Dr. Lennox Honychurch, Valantine Poponne, Frances E. Delsol, Kelly B. Graneau, Rev. Fr Charles Martin, Curtis F. Matthew, Parry Roy Bellot, Gerard Cools-Lartigue. These are all very good dancers and singers in the Skerrit National Band and if Booplay were still alive he would sing a verse with Dice about ‘they singing for their supper”

Well, she could gracefully have declined the award and be satisfied with the knowledge that she did good, which is not denied.
