ACP calls for end to US trade embargo against Cuba

Insisting that the United States is becoming more and more isolated over its trade and economic embargo against Cuba, the Caribbean’s sole Communist country, the African Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) states have called on Washington to end the decades-old sanction.

President of the ACP Council of Ministers, Alva Baptiste, who is also St. Lucia’s foreign minister, said that he regards the embargo as “a cold wall” between the two countries and that as globalisation continues apace, it will “melt that cold wall.

“It is just a matter of time before that embargo is removed,” Baptiste predicted, adding, “I don’t think hostility will end the embargo.”

I mean for a country that have trade dealings with China, Russia, Saudi Arabia, and even Al Quaida linked regimes, it is highly hypocritical to have an embargo on Cuba and even encouraging and threatening other countries to do so.

These same guys maintain a military base in Cuba for crying out loud, so it cannot be that bad or hostile.

Boy I could never support Obama in any way or form you know. A pure sell out that. This guy came talking about change and all he did was maintain the status quo. For the sake of worldly powers this guy has sacrificed his very soul, even his moral religious convictions. Shame on this guy.
