Another regional Prime Minister adds voice to the ongoing CLICO debacle

Anthony

Chairman of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) Dr Kenny Anthony says he is looking forward to the full cooperation of all Caribbean Community (CARICOM) governments as the region deals with the impact caused by the financial problems plaguing the regional insurance giant, Colonial Life Insurance Company (CLICO).

Anthony, the Prime Minister of St. Lucia, said that the collapse of Trinidad-based CLICO has unleashed a lot of pain across the region and any resolution has to be broached from a regional standpoint.

Read all about the CLICO scandal in the Barbados Free Press. Read for yourselves. Read about the dealings of the former boss of CLICO because we are now all feeling the effects since DSS invested millions in CLICO. You would be amazed.

The former CEO of CLICO (Barbados) has been charged for criminal offences. Fraud? Money-laundering? Where is he now? In hiding? Wasn’t money from CLICO used to finance political parties? Was the DLP one of them? Was it for the 2005 elections in Dominica? Isn’t that true DNO? Could DNO do some research and inform readers about the latest news on CLICO and its former boss? Regional news DNO. The allegations have never been refuted. None of those in power has said that is not true. Didn’t that same CLICO boss receive our Dominica diplomatic passport? But from whom, nuh? Wasn’t he one of those non-Dominican Ambassadors?

Rides on CLICO’s jet. Good times. Money was flowing. It was the money of people of the Caribbean, who invested in CLICO. DSS money must have been part of it. The Truth must set us free. But strangely, many among us Dominicans do not love freedom because you continue to bury the truth and succumb to the lies and manipulations of a few. You are enslaving yourselves mentally, defending and protecting lies and corrupt practices. All will pay dearly. The CLICO saga is coming to light and much more will be revealed about CLICO, its former boss and the kind of operations they were involved in. Read all about it on “Barbados FREE PRESS.” It is our right to know exactly what has happened to our investments in CLICO.

When are we going to hear from our Prime Minister?
On the other hand, are those who have spoken really serious? When the JUDICIAL Manager asked for their intervention they responded in the negative. At the time of their response to the Judicial Manager were they aware of what they (pretend) to know now?
A threat in the ballot box is the only way to settle this debacle.

While regional leaders are increasingly standing up for their people who have invested their life savings in these completely unregulated (and probably criminal) companies, I don’t think Dominica’s PM has EVER mentioned CLICO & British American.
