Chinese embassy hands over agricultural equipment to Grenada

ST GEORGE’S, Grenada — There was official hand-over ceremony of farm machinery and agricultural equipment, donated to Grenada by the Chinese government.

The handover was held in La Sagesse Farm, St David.

Prime Minister Tillman Thomas and Denis Lett, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Grenada, and Xu Jianguo, Chinese Ambassador to Grenada were present at the ceremony.

Thomas expressed his appreciation for the donations and aid from the Chinese government to Grenada. He spoke of the Agricultural Technical Cooperation Program between China and Grenada, saying that the program has made a contribution to creating better environment for agricultural production, improving agricultural technology level and expanding the scale of agricultural production.

The prime minister also encouraged local farmers to learn advanced technology from the Chinese agricultural specialists.

Ambassador Xu thanked the Grenadian government for paying attention to the Agricultural Cooperation Program. He hoped that the donated equipment would help promote the development of agriculture in Grenada. He said that China would continue to cooperate with Grenada in various fields, including agriculture.

During the ceremony, three small tractors, fourteen walking tractors and other various farm machinery and agricultural equipment were handed over to the government of Grenada.

    But regardless i hope the grenadians use them well… before the rain dissolve them

    Wait 2 months and those equipment will be stalling and degrading like all other chinois products
