Maduro said the US has been exerting ‘brutal force’ against nations

Venezuela’s President Nicolas Maduro on Saturday accused the United States of exerting “brutal pressure” on nations in the region to isolate his country, already battered by an economic crisis and domestic political upheaval.

At a regional summit of Caribbean countries gathered in Havana, Maduro urged his counterparts “not to give in to the immense pressure from Washington” against his country.

“Venezuela is not going to give in, we will fight,” he declared on the margins of the summit.

Maduro also denounced the Organization of American States (OAS) as complicit in seeking to isolate him.

Venezuela’s opposition-controlled legislature has asked the OAS to assess whether the Maduro government has violated standards.

  1. America uses its size and place on the world stage to bully smaller nations that have been rendered vulnerable by socialism and unwise choices. They begin by trying to impose their amoral stance on the nation by pushing them to accept such things as abortion and gay rights

Mr. Obama seems to have an eagle’s eye for nations that have been weakened by internal problems and have fallen out of grace with neighboring countries. This is especially true if he sees something there that would be profitable to him. However, Obama is so close to the end of his term it is not expected that he would involve himself with Venezuela.

    Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill. Evangelist.

For political reasons we rally aganist maduro, however we must not forget the benifits of our county’s relationships with Venezuela. Its benifits are tremendous and evident for all to see. I am talking about education housing fishing infrastructure ect.

We love the west and have nothing against them. However lets me honest, the west resources are stretched throughout the globe on their war on terror. Tje USA has admitted that it has failed the regions nation and rewarded a few crumbs. Venezuela whose economy was booming came in and filled the void but the US saw that as a threat and what happened? They dropped the pil price forcing a downward spiral in that country’s economy aided by the rich opodition in Venezuela who orchestrated an economic strangation on Venezuela.
Venezuela will bounce back and we should support Venezuela.

I must take issue with you on this. Should we forget what is happening in Venezuela because of the benefits we derived from our association with that country? It would be like a mother closing her eyes and ears to abuse of her children because the perpetrator provides for her.
I for one, am grateful for the help we have received but any real gifts are unconditional and should not stop us from speaking out when we see wrongs. The truth is that Hugo Chavez dream went sour and that the Venezuelan people are suffering even more hardship now under his successor Maduro. Does the U.S.A. make mistakes? Of course it does but I’d rather take my chances with them them the current regime in Venezuela.

U.S. policymakers don’t control world oil prices. Anyway, the goal should be to develop an economy robust enough that it doesn’t matter which large country has its wallet open, like Bermuda and the Caymans did.

Gabriel St. Jean can you please tell the viewers your accomplishment? I wonder how you arrive at insulting these leaders and also accusing them of not being able to run their country. You lived your life in the police force get away with lots of human rights violations; retire working as s coffin carrier for gentle rest; you are a total failure. Go figure it out.

The poor starving of Venezuela are the ones who requested help from the OAS. You and your boy Skeritt have failed your people tremendously so don’t blame the US for your incompetence and dictatorial rule.

  6. Here is Venezuela in a nutshell!!! A man marries his dead friend’s widow and adopts his friend’s 10 children. This man decides to follow his dead friend’s policy of giving away all the family food and money from his dead friend’s business to his neighbors in order to become the community leader. As the business begins to fail and his family begins to starve, his new wife tells him she wants a divorce and his step-children demands that he immediately leave the house. In his defiance, the man declares that he will NOT leave the house and will NOT agree to the divorce. Instead, he declares that he will FIGHT HIS OWN FAMILY and goes around to all his neighbors telling them not to help or support his family because it is NOT HIS FAULT that they are now starving. He tells his neighbors that it’s the rich man on the hill that’s poisoning the minds of his family members and implores them to not let the rich man PRESSURE them into helping his family. What a shame!!!

Nice try at deflecting blame, but anyone who is actually looking knows the suffering occurring in Venezuela today is all self inflected by their bad political policy.

Remember do not bite the hands that feed us, naturally, a bad leader and those like him are quick to blame the U.S. when they mismanage, and mussels their own people. Now the cork has come home to Roost, They do not want to go Down alone, so they calling on those minors, to stand and fight the mighty U. S. Is like going to war with stones vs heavy tanks and guns. The days for that kind of tactics are over. Some one has to remind them and knock some scene in their Heads.

Yes, the United States want control of all the clay mud in Wesley. How you fool so nu man! When I was growing up the most Bush Lawyers, doctors and what have you all was in Wesley you know.

I have a cousin we used to argue everyday about the Soviet Union, and the United States; which is the stronger. My cousin sided with Russia, and the communist block.

I held on to the United States which stands today, the most powerful and richest nation on earth. Communism and the Soviet Union are dead! In the era of Communism the Soviet Union, and allies Cuba, headed by Castro said the United States intended to take over the world, it is the same nonsense you are talking about taking over the region.

What would America do with a place like Dominica, when the British plundered you all for four hundred years, and at the end of kick you to the curb with fifty million pounds all of which was wasted?

Maduro, is either completely out of his mind, or something about him is not natural! It seems to me that guy has gone totally mad, or he is so delusional that he has absolutely no concept of the rubbish in is talking! Maduro is nothing more than someone who bounced off the page of some comic book!

He is simply running his mouth in order to deflect attention from the collapsed Venezuelan economy! He believes if he starts babbling about pressure on Cuba, by the United States, the peasants minded people will believe his crap, and turn their attention and hate towards America.

Someone need to remind that clown Maduro; the pressure imposed by the world comminutes are lifted, and America is right at this moment doing business with Cuba. So screaming wolf with his old communist tactics and mentality blaming America for what is wrong with his nations economy will not work these days.

Communism, and the communists ideology has long died, and will never be reincarnated ever!

You see, sometimes it is better to shot our mouths in order to save ourselves the embracement. Here you are talking crap, about the United States: As far as I read from your nonsense about Iraq alone is an indication you do not know what you are talking about

So let me brief you: Iraq was a place governed by a brutal dictator named Sadam Hossian. A man who would call a cabinet meeting with his Army Generals, and other members of his puppet government.

He would presided over the meeting; he would make proposals and direct decisions. When he was through, he would suggest if there is anyone with another suggestion, different to what he proposed; don’t be afraid to express their opinions. At one time more than fifteen people stood and spoke saying they did not agree with him; when they were finished speaking!

Sadam pulled his gun from its hold-star and shot them dead where they stood. Sadam even had his fourteen year old son, murdered his opponents in broad daylight.

        If you…

      • Francisco Etienne-Dods Telemaque
        June 6, 2016

        Continue:

If you lived in Iraq and you were celebrating your wedding; Sadam had two older sons, they would send their goons to take your bride from you, or any other husband, take her away, and Sadam sons would sexually abuse her, and then return her to you or any other husband.

The United States moved in when Sadam had thousands of people pinned down on mountain for almost a month without food or water, when they tried to get away, he murdered most of them shooting them down like wild animals. Such are the atrocities that dictator perpetrated on humans in his country.

As for Afghanistan, do some research on the Taliband and find out the damage they did to that ancient civilization; all in the name of some god. Had it not been for the United States there would be no girls alive if they attempted to go to school for an education.

I will not bother to elaborate on the situation in Libya, all I can tell you is be acquainted with what you are talking about before you talk!…

        Finally Raster:

I will not bother to elaborate on the situation in Libya, all I can tell you is be acquainted with what you are talking about before you talk! You all like to run your mouth off on America, had it not for America most of you in Dominica would starve.

Without the Barrel Industry bringing food and cloths to some of you, sent by Dominicans living in America, and the Virgin island, most of them illegal you all would starve, fix your problems at home, do something about Skerrit who keep the nation in poverty before you comment on a nation where people go hungry by choice, or caused by mental illness!

Rather than you advise people to read and they will know, some of us have read, and saw it happened on a daily basis as it occurred; are the one who need he education on the matter.

Well, no wonder the Apes, and Mountain Chicken Carpaud mentality Roosevelt Skerrit are friends. You remember in the first James Bond Movie; where we saw the three blind men leading each other. to the tune three blind mice?

Well, Dominica, is a bankrupt country, Venezuela is also a bankrupt country, they are both bankrupt, financially and politically. So, who they have to use as the scapegoat?

      The United States.

Dominica Mountain Chicken Crapo boy Skerrit went to Cuba screaming in his Crapo voice “United States must lift embargo on Cuba!” Poor boy was not informed of the developments between the Cuban dictator and Obama.

How shameful more tourist from Miami alone has visited Cuba, since the handshake between Castro and Obama, than what visited Dominica in the past twenty years! After Skerrit mane an idiot of himself in Cuba by the time he got back to he start babbling about his foreign policy!

      Hahahahahahahahaha!
