Helicopter attacks Venezuela court, Maduro denounces coup bid

A helicopter flies over the Supreme Court in Venezuela on Tuesday

A Venezuelan police helicopter strafed the Supreme Court and a government ministry on Tuesday, escalating the OPEC nation’s political crisis in what President Nicolas Maduro called an attack by “terrorists” seeking a coup.

The aircraft fired 15 shots at the Interior Ministry, where scores of people were at a social event, and dropped four grenades on the court, where judges were meeting, officials said.

However, there were no reports of injuries.

“Sooner rather than later, we are going to capture the helicopter and those behind this armed terrorist attack against the institutions of the country,” Maduro said.

That was a distraction planned by Madura and his boys. I doubt there would be a coup attempt or attack on state facilities and not one dead…. I SMELL A BIG RAT AND I WOULD NOT BE SURPRISED IT’S MADURO

If that was a coup attempt then it was a pretty pathetic one. A few random shots fired at the outside of the building? Did these shots hit the windows or the brick work? If there are only bullet holes in the brick work then I don’t reckon they intended to hurt anyone. So who did it???

If this is so, I expect the opposition will blame Maduro when it is their people who did it. Is this not the same occurring in Dominica? Need I say more?

This situation is so reminiscent of what took place here a few months ago where members of the Opposition were arrested and detained. The people of Venezuela are demanding the release of all political prisoners. Dictators rule by suppressing those who oppose them, but once the police and members of the military are united against this corrupt regime, that’s an indication that Maduro is losing support and his days are numbered.
