JAMAICAN men who have simultaneous multiple sex partners have a mental illness.
This is the assertion of leading Jamaican psychiatrist and professor of psychiatry at the University of the West Indies Dr Frederick Hickling.
Speaking with the Sunday Observer after the recent launch of a mental health campaign at the university’s Mona campus, Hickling knocked the practice of Jamaican men having — as captured in the lyrics of a popular song by dancehall artiste Beenie Man — ‘gyal in a bungle’.
The professor also trashed the psychological associations often made between Jamaican men and their African ancestors, many of whom practised polygamy.
Psychiatrists appear to look like that with all this beard and moustache. They do not do justice to them. They should shave them off.
I would not say that those men are mental. They are morally and spiritually sick. Some of them think too much of sex and participate too much in same. It is an addiction and abnormal too. They appear to love sex more than God and this is indeed correct.
This reminds me of a card I saw some years ago and thought it funny. I purchased. One day, I sent it to a man as it pertains to men. The card reads, simulating someon:
“I say, men who always think of sex are hard of hearing.”
He replied: “EH!”
The person repeats the first line.
The man replied: “EH!”
I got a kick out of it, laughing my head off. I had to pass it on. I am still laughing. I do have a sense of humor.
This would pertain to those men who have a lot of women. There is a reason why they have a lot of women. It surely it is not to hold the women’s hands and shake them.
Those men are in dire need of spiritual renewal. They need to worship God; pray to him and continue practicing the faith. They should be taken to a Healing Mass/Service, if they agree to go, that they may be anointed with the Holy Oil and touched by the Holy Spirit.
Having stated that one of the messages of the Mother of God, the Ever Blessed Virgin Mary to a visionary which is a message for us all, “Many souls go to Hell for sins of the flesh.”
Men, who are so inclined, pay heed, convert and save your soul. You cannot stand before God in that state and expect eternal salvation. Christians must also pray for you that God will give you a change of heart – One woman at a time.
If that is the way the professor keep his face I do understand his position. How the heck he can get woman when his face is like a bird nest..

many animal species have multiple partners. they do this to make sure their genes survive to the next generation. humans are not that different. not too long ago, the average human life span wasn’t as long as it is now. people died of illnesses and diseases that are easily curable today (thanks to modern medicine and science). so of course, men had to have many more children to compensate for the high loss of life that was common between birth and adulthood. plus there are factors such as infertility, which can be added to the mix.
basically, what i am saying is that humans are still pretty much hard wired to have sex as much as possible and as widely as possible. of course, with all the diseases and such going around these days, it’s not feasible to just go about having sex with every one you see. but, the urge is still there in many of us.
long story short, i am not condoning running around, nor am i supporting the good doctor’s notions of sexuality and mental illness. i simply think that humans are sexual creatures and this is as natural as breathing and eating. and i think many of us could do with a bit more sex. it helps ease the stress and helps your relax a lot.
have plenty sex with one partner .period, so its ok for men to be happy satisfying sexual desire while a woman at home stressing bout the situation. so long life to men because more sex is bter so death to woman because stress of the man kiiling her. smdh.
and by the way what reproduction you talking about. when man dont want you and is just about sex they telling you throw the child so wat reproduction you talking about. women that stupid these days.

Stupid that’s the way it’s supposed to be. That’s why women are better stress handlers than men, it’s all because of the way we evolved. The idea of not wanting children is something that recently came about due to our society’s view of children being economic burdens. Or we could basically see it as the same evolutionary principles being played out as this can be seen as a way of the species controlling over population. Seriously if you people would just take the time out to read just a few good books or articles the ignorance that plagues you all would wane a bit.

i agree with the professor-man going from woman to woman bound to be sick; in more ways than one. we have lots of sick men in our society and whether u accept that or not, its the truth.
Having more than one wife is an African way of life and our ancestors did it. The Europeans called it polygamy but they practice the same way. It is sheer ignorance to condemn this way of life. It is not just having different women on the side but actually marrying them. Abraham had more than one wife and so did king Solomon. What we don’t know about we should not condemn.
In the event this psychiatrist theory is correct, that means that King Solomon the smartest human to walk the face of the earth, with the exception of Jesus Christ, may be mentally ill according to him.
King Solomon had many Wife’s!
Nonetheless, his theory is not recorded in any psychological or medical journal. And by just looking at this guy, one does not have to major in psychology, to discover that if anyone has a mental, or psychiatric condition, it is him.
One of the traits of a mentally ill man is precisely what we see on his face. The long nasty beards, is an indication that he has a mental problem.
And we know for a fact that 85% of all the people who are practicing psychiatry are themselves mentally ill, and that’s documented !

Solomon was never crazy. And with all those wives and concubines he would never have anything to worry about, except that he turned against God, and he learned that without God in a person’s existence, everything else is meaningless.
“Vanity of vanities; all is vanity” Solomon says. He started like that in his writings of the Book of Ecclesiastes, and he ended that writing with: Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is man’ s all.. Solomon was never crazy!
But even Jacob himself, the Father of the nations of Israel. He had twelves sons through Rachel and Leigh, who were his two wives, and their maidservants as well, just as Abraham fathered Ishmael through the maidservant of his wife, Sarah. Joseph and Benjamin are the only sons of Rachel, the wife that Jacob truly loved. But God accepted all of the children of Jacob’s twelve sons as His chosen people.
Jesus once said to the leaders of the Jewish people, who would not accept His words. So, with Abraham and Jacob having sex with the maids of their own wives, if they were crazy before God, why would Jesus say that they were those kinds that God accepts as His people?

Those who believe that they are too smart to hear the word, no matter who speaks, need to know that I do not believe that they are smarter, than the thousands of scientists, medical doctors, who has long come to realize there is a God, some medical doctors these days in America will not touch a patient especially during surgery before first praying to God.
The last time I was admitted into a Roman Catholic Hospital in Los Angeles, at Seven (7:00 A. M) prays originating in the Hospital cam beaming through the lowed speakers, and it was not about any Rosary, and Hale Mary.
Last Summer also when I went to Kaiser Permanente, I found the same thing there!

The syntonic behaviour that is now prevalent in our societies was brought here by our ancestors and will never be accepted as a mental disorder. However, one’s strong religious belief according to the bible can deter such behaviour. We all know that Kings, political leaders, famous men and women can all be held guilty for the above.

This ‘doc’ tries to attack the most esteemed prophets of God. Most of the prophets had plural wives, is this scum of the earth insinuating the prophets had a mental illness?
