Pupil, 16, found hanging at home in Trinidad

A 16-year-old fifth form pupil of St Mary’s College, Port of Spain, was found hanging from a rope at his Maraval home on Monday night.

Police officers are working on the theory that the apparent suicide may have been triggered by a relationship gone sour.

George Kazanjian of Nutmeg Avenue, Haleland Park, Maraval, was discovered by his younger brother, Paul, hanging from a rope which was tied to the burglar proofing in the washroom of their home.

    @ ?? You ask?
To begin with the boy is young and innocent to a certain extent. My instinct informs me that he will not be condemned to Hell and we should never say that someone went to Hell. God is the judge. Some people play God. They must be careful what they state for their words will condemn them in time.
If you are well-versed in Holy Scriptures you should find it, not in the word of Purgatory. Keep in mind Our Lord did not use the word the Hell. He used Gehenna. This should give you an indication that the word Purgatory is not in Holy Scriptures. This does not mean that those of you who say that “I go by the Bible” you should not believe it. Some of these people in general, although they say they go by the Bible do not adhere to the teachings of the Holy Bible.
Prior to reading/studying Holy Scripture, you should ask the Holy Spirit for enlightenment. After you are finished, you should thank the Holy Spirit for enlightenment. Too many of you simply read it but do not comprehend what is in it.
Our Lord Jesus Christ spoke on spiritual terms; not on mortal terms. This is one indication that whatever He taught is meant, yes, for our mortal life to assist us in life to be godly but they are on spiritual terms; one and the same meaning.
    This is one example:
Matthew 5:21:26 – …Settle with your opponent quickly while on the way to court, with him. Otherwise your opponent will hand you over to the judge, and the judge will hand you over to the guard, and you will be thrown into prison. Amen, I say to you, you will not be released until you have paid the last penny.
In the Book of Maccabbes which non-Catholic leaders in the ancient days renounced and did not allow it in their Bible as they chose to interpret it in their own way.
2 Maccabbees:12:38:48 – Expiation for the Dead – …He then took up a collection among all his soldiers, amounting to two thousand silver drachmas, which he sent to Jerusalem to provide for an expiatory sacrifice. In doing this he acted in a very excellent and noble way, inasmuch as he had the resurrection of the dead in view; for if he were not expecting the fallen to rise again, it would have been useless and foolish to pray for them in death. But if he did this with a view to the splendid reward that awaits those who had gone to rest in godliness, it was a holy and pious thought. Thus he made atonement for the dead that they might be freed from this sin.
St. Paul also spoke about “works that will be burnt” and also about “purging by fire.”
Read the entire passage in Holy Scriptures. I am aware that some people of other religions interpret Holy Scriptures according to their mentality. Some have taken out some books in Holy Scriptures. It is for this reason that they did not comprehend the sense of Purgatory and do not teach about it.
Our Lord said to a visionary, “Whether they do not believe, they will still have to go there.” Why? Because people are not perfect even though they are religious ones. This is why they should never judge or condemn anyone. It is not our place to do so. God did not give us a mandate to do so. He will never inspire us to judge and condemn them for Our Lord Himself told us: “Judge not that you may not be judged two-fold.” When are some people going to learn this?
There are documented facts of some good souls who died and went to Purgatory because they were not yet perfected. As God allowed them, a few returned to thank those who prayed for them and also others ask that they are prayed for.
If you are not a Catholic and do not have a Catholic Holy Bible, ask a Catholic laity or a Catholic Priest to show you those passages and to explain them to you.
The Catholic Church has the answers. Praise be to God.
Pray to God for enlightenment also on Purgatory. It does exist and will be until Judgment Day. Thank God for that! This is how much He loves us.

I am saddened at the fact that this young man killed himself, but suicide is in-fact the most selfish and stupid act that you can commit while on earth and it earns you a first class ticket to the very bowels of hell where the fire is at it’s hottest. Under no circumstance that will I commend someone for committing suicide, esp. not for the reason of a relationship gone sour. May the devil have fun with his new toy.

Mr. Puh Lease, before you pass judgement you should make sure that you have the facts of the story. It is not my place to tell you them, and there is a lot more to it than a sour relationship. I wish that George was still here. I can also tell you that a person as good as George Kazanjian will never set foot on hell, in fact he’ll by looking down at you right next to God. So George, RIP my friend, you’re the bravest person I know.

may the bad you wish onto others fall right back on you, he was still a child and he did not know the meaning and value of life, there is 1 incedent which brought me to see the meaning and value of life and 1 that enforced it. the first one is when my aunt who passed away from cancer said to me in her hospital room in ny said what she would give to just have a regular shower, yes what we do twice or three times a day,(a shower)something we take for granted everyday, thats when i got to know what the meaning and value of life was. and the second being when i had a motorcycle accident and got a broken arm only held up by the skin with my hand still functioning normally, then after the first operation the doctor damaged the nerves and i lost full use of my arm, then after about three weeks i started regaining use of it,but during that 3 weeks how i wished that i could move 1 finger even 1 milimeter. so from that point i started to appriciate every second of every minute of every hour of every day till i die

All of the people that are commenting negative comments about George I think you should shut the hell up because you don’t know anything that went on in George’s head. He was a close friend, and an amazing one. He was loved by many, and was always smiling. All of us are heart broken since he’s gone now, and i would appreciate it if you would stop commenting unnecessary things such as “SO YOUNG, YET HE CHOSE A 1ST CLASS TICKET TO HELL.
SMH” because that is utter bullshit. And completely disrespects George, his family, and his friends. If you dont know anything about George or what happened and you would like to comment SHIT, You should keep it to yourself because no one wants to hear it. Thank you.
Rest in peace Georgie, I love you and miss you dearly. Until we meet again<3

I agree with you. They are insensitive people who also lack common sense and are always commenting negatively. They are ever ready to bring people down and have nothing good to say about them. Such types we should feel sorry for.
Our Lord Jesus Christ said: “Father forgive them for they know not what they do”. I will add, and say.
It is a sad time for his parents, other members of his family, friends as you, the school teachers and students.
My sincere condolence to all of you.
I do think that some people who comment negatively should examine themselves and cease doing so. It could have happened to someone whom they know.
There is a North American Indian saying: “Do not judge a man until you have walked two moons in his moccasins.”
God is displeased with their comments. They need to pray to God and ask His forgiveness, if he forgives them, based on their hearts.

“16 year old boy–suicide may have been triggered by a relationship gone sour”

O Dear God, of Spirit and Truth, we read, hear, and see, all the examples of strife, vile, disdain, and discord, that comes up against us, people of this world–especially our younger generation–but still we fail to take heed.

Such as right now there is this political turmoil in my country Dominica–strictly based on personal rebel, men against men, their motive is based more, on satisfying their personal ego, than the welfare of our people and the rising of our country

Through that conflict, men and women demonstrate that the rules, laws, or guidance, written through the wisdom and philosopy of men like themselves, are more important than the Principles of Life–revealed in Your Words, by the Power of Your Holy Spirit.

Mankind have failed to recognized the fact that those Principles, which are Your Word, were instilled and written by your influence–the guidances of Your Holy Spirit, through the pens of men and woman also, which they must follow and obey every minute that they exist in this world.

But it is the rules, laws, and guidance of that constitution–Your Word in the Holy Bible– that they have not learned to obey and follow, the reason why they are not able to obey the own human wisdom of a “constitution” in the first place.

I pray that because of Your Love–full of mercy and compassion–You will give strength to the meek, the ignorant, and the innocent, who so quickly accept the sword of fear that the enemy hands to them.

For dear God, You are watching, and You see that those people, young and old, through the control of a carnal mind, simply use this sword of fleshly fear to destroy their own lives–both physically and spiritually, such as this young man of only 16 years old has done to himself.

Dear God let the revolution of Spirit and Truth come to happen in the minds of your people.

Too bad, that those who choose to allow their minds to rebel, against this spiritual revolution, will know the pain of Your wrath. But those who put their faith and trust in You will be saved. And in the end You will have disciplined and trained the minds of Your people, O God.

With that purpose fulfilled in, I know that we will live in harmony and fellowship with each other; being reconciled to You, who is Love.

In Love with You, dear God, Your people will know the strength of joy and peace–Your outstanding nature of Love–which moves us in Life, regardless of the circumstance of our day.

Let Your Will be done on Earth O God, as it is done in Heaven! I pray this in the name of Your Person of Love–Jesus Christ Amen!

Thanks Lizavier4Jesus. The Truth which is the word will prevail. Let us continue to pray for our young persons. Yes indeed we fail to take heed and continue to do our own carnal agenda of bringing down our fellowmen and being loveless.

      • September 15, 2011

        @???

Amen and thank you for your encouragement and build up! But you know my strength, because you have that strength also.

Our Lord Jesus Christ, said about Himself: “I can of myself do nothing” And yet no human being have the power to call a dead man out his grave, but Jesus said to the dead man: Lazarus come forth! And He did.

Jesus said to the paralyzed man: Take up your bed and go home, and the man did exactly that.

There was no need for scientific research to determine what that man’s problem was–not even being able to heal the man. The man’s faith and the power of Words in Jesus Christ: “take up your bed and go home” was enough to heal the man.

The apostle John who walked with Jesus, when He was on earth, said about Him, there is not enough paper in this world to write about the many things that Jesus did in this world.

Jesus claimed that He did nothing by His own Stregth, but He did wonders–not enough paper to write them down– by the strength of Christ who lived in Him, whose Words is the power that can bring down the highest mountain in the world.

To those of you, who are attempting to question or ridicule my wisdom, understanding, and knowledge of God, God will not be mocked. I am asking you all to be careful!

For you are calling for your own demise, by my faith and the power of God’s Word in me. That can happen to you when you are least expecting it. So don’t say that you were not warned!

      Dear holier-than-thou:

I have read your comments a couple of times, and even though I think this is a free forum to express our individual views, I have to give you my opinion of your one-dimensional approach to life…

Your answer for everything hinges on the umbilical cord of prayer. Do you ever look at things in a worldly/practical sense, and muster some courage to provide everyday-driven solutions? It is as if your weakness is your inability to provide practical solutions to everyday problems. In effect, you camouflage yourself in the veil of the bible. You are like a machine who has been programmed to only say one thing and walk in one direction.

Everytime someone is found hanging from a roof or something is suicide. That may not always be case. Stop jumping into conclusions and examine this suitation carefully. You may never know. He was maybe even hanged by soemone else or someone forced him to hang himself. If he did commit suicide, that was very stupid, such a handsome young boys, maybe with a promising future ahead. Futhermore there is the whole issue as to why he hung himself. Maybe this 16 year old was bullied. Not everyone can cope with bullying..

You are correct. Hmmm should examine his/her conscience to see whether he/she is living in faith. It is said that, at this moment, we are already judged. This is the way God sees us, as we are, according to our deeds also in words. Should we die suddenly, may God have mercy on our soul. No exception Hmmm. Too many think that they are holy of holies and more perfect than others and that they are not sinners, deluding themselves.

      @ hmmm

It is sad that he gave up on life and so young. I feel sorry for his family who mourn his loss. It is no doubt heart-breaking for them. I pray that God who knows hearts, who knew him better than even his own family and friends and who knows the reason why he did this saved him. This may be difficult for those who lack spiritual enlightenment and even basic common sense specifically in this case to comprehend.
There is a lot you have to learn about God and what transpires when the soul makes the transition from life to death. I recognize that it is a mystery and one day all of us will experience it and then know.
God is the judge. Our Lord has taught us, “Judge not that we may not be judged accordingly and two-fold.” St. Paul wrote about saying that people are in Hell and in Heaven. We do not know.
Based on the person’s lifestyle it appears to us that the person may be in Heaven or in Hell but we do not know. God knows the heart much more than we could ever fathom. We cannot read hearts. Only God can.
Some of you who are not of the Catholic Faith will dispute what I state. So be it but I will say it anyway and again and again for those who have not heard and read of it and those who have renounced their Catholic faith to join other religions.
The Catholic Church has some authentic visionaries who received visions of Our Lord Jesus Christ and His Blessed Mother, the Ever Blessed Virgin Mary and even of saints who are in Heaven. They are chosen ones who are given messages and are told to inform us about the messages. Once proven authentic, they are recorded and are passed on. I have some of the information which is not a fable.
The messages are pertaining to what we are doing and not doing to obtain eternal salvation, to please and appease God; also to live happily and in peace. You better believe it. Human nature is not perfect.
People may be the greatest sinners on earth. If they die in that state, we cannot judge and state that they are in Hell. We do not know what transpired between the soul and God at the hour of death. Some people may regret their acts and repent at that moment. It is stated that at the time of death, we are given a vision of our entire lives. This will determine where our souls end up for all eternity. If God sees that they are sincere, He will forgive them. Forgiveness is based on love, humility and sincerity. However, restitution must be made to enter Heaven. St. Paul said “no souls with one stain of sin will ever enter Heaven.”
It is not God’s wish that one soul perish as much as some have already perished. We who are alive still stand a chance of obtaining eternal salvation. We must be thankful and grateful to God for this.
This is where the other controversy comes in that non-Catholics do not believe. God created Purgatory that souls whom He has forgiven will make restitution. We Catholics know that through the visionaries who have been granted visions by the Holy Ones as previously stated. The Mother of God has asked us to pray for those souls. I add, even though we do not know who they are. They cannot help themselves but we can help them.
Catholics have been told; have been taught and we believe. It is better to believe than not to believe.
Purgatory is a Dogma/Doctrine of the Catholic Church and will always be until the end of time when we are called for our Judgment. This is through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Remember Our Lord said that when he goes, He will send the Holy Spirit to teach us and guide us. In fact, the Dogma will not die but that Purgatory will cease to exist at the end of time. God has ordained that. Those who doubt it should pray to God for enlightenment.
This is also my principle. Do not denounce what you cannot prove and what you were not taught and learnt. Ask questions, amicably. Do not deny it. There is much more which some people on this earth as you need to learn. You have not yet arrived – in Heaven therefore you are not yet cleansed and a saint. It is impossible to be truly perfect on earth. You still have a lot to learn. Make it your mortal and spiritual business to learn it.
Having stated that, God will weigh people’s sins according to the state of their soul. How they were brought up; what type of parents they had; were they nurtured appropriately and what caused them to live an ungodly life if they did and also to commit suicide. If their good deeds outweigh their bad ones know that the souls will one day ascend to Heaven only after making restitution in Purgatory for as long as it takes for purification.
Purgatory is a place of suffering; being away from God; yearning to be with Him is suffering in itself for those souls.
Souls in Hell do not have that opportunity. They are finished and will suffer forever. I do not wish this on anyone. Let us pray that at least God will save us for Heaven. If you doubt this, do some research about it. The word Purgatory is in the dictionary and will be there until the end of time. I reiterate that God created it. It is also called “a State”, a spiritual one; not an earthly one.
May God bless and grace you with this spiritual enlightenment. This includes others who may denounce it.
To finalize this we cannot say that the 16- year-old is in Hell. If he was not a Christian and God forgave him, this is where Purgatory comes in. Souls do not just go to Heaven like that even though we have the promise of Our Lord Jesus Christ. There are conditions for obtaining eternal salvation. Our Lord said: “Those who obey His (Our) Heavenly Father’s Commandments (and the religious teaching of the Church) will be saved. If we go about saying that souls went to Hell, we hurt the Heart of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore erase this from your mind immediately.
Learn from others who know better and are well-read about these facts also through God’s spiritual enlightenment.

It saddens me too. We call this, a waste of life and a young one at that. However, we leave everything up to God who knows, sees and hears all things and has the real answer and reason why this teenager would do such a thing. There are also some teenagers in the progressive countries who take their own life even at 10 years of age. He is not alone. He is not the first and surely will not be the last as the world progresses.
Whatever your religious beliefs and affiliation, it reminds me that once I attended a Catholic prayerful gathering of thousands of people in Toronto. It was a special afternoon/evening. A Catholic visionary from overseas was visiting. This visionary had been having (still do) apparitions of The Mother of Our Lord Jesus Christ whom we call Our Lady or Our Blessed Mother. She appeared to her at exactly 6:00 pm, the usual time. Prior to this we prayed and sang. After the visionary received the messages one of it was as she relayed to us, The Mother of God said, “The children of today are facing difficult times.” I have not forgotten this message among a few.
Whenever I hear or read of such matters as children committing suicide and other matters which the youth experience, I always repeat those words.
The situation appears to be growing worst. In bygone years we never heard or read of children committing suicide and even murdering their parents and siblings or other human beings as adults. This is what we are hearing and reading in this era. It is a sad situation.
We must be compassionate and pray for them too. It may be that we are not praying enough, some, not at all why the world situation and of children are getting worst. This is mortal and spiritual food for thought. God bless you!
