STORY OF INTEREST: Regional grouping assesses freedom of movement

GEORGETOWN, Guyana, CMC – The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Secretariat says it has launched a study to better facilitate the free movement of persons and the integration of the regional labour market.

“The project will assist in the development of policies through evidence gathering and analysis of the actual impact of free movement and other forms of migration on domestic labour markets and on the provision of social services,” said a statement issued by the Guyana-based Secretariat.

    Remember my people, we are the united islands of the caribbean, just as the united states of america, the united provinces of canada, the united counties of england. As along as we are professionals, we should be able to move from island to island in search of jobs, a new life, a new wife. How ’bout that?
