Tourism service providers to attend Caribbean show

PRESS RELEASE: Dominica will be well represented at the seventh annual re-DISCOVER the Caribbean Show, which takes place on Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th April at the Sandiford Centre in Barbados.

It is the region’s only event entirely dedicated to growing intra Caribbean travel.

Over 100 exhibitors representing 20 Caribbean destinations are participating, including national tourism offices and associations, individual and group hotels, airlines, yacht charters, cruise specialists, travel agents and tour operators.

The Discover Dominica Authority, Fort Young Hotel, Tamarind Tree Hotel and Sunset Bay Club and Dive Resort are exhibiting.

Media coverage includes seven minute interview segments on the popular MORNIN’ Barbados CBC TV8 programme, live television and a radio outside broadcast from the show.

The event also attracts extensive print media coverage.

Calibishie Lodges who have donated one of the event prizes are featured in a 30 second ‘ad’ which is currently be aired during peak time television and radio and is attracting an estimated 90,000 viewers and 40,000 listeners daily.

The Barbados Minister of Tourism, the Hon. Richard Sealy, will officially open the show.
