United States Vice President Joe Biden and Haiti President Michel Martelly signed a US-CARICOM Trade and Investment Framework Agreement agreement on Tuesday during the former’s visit to Trinidad and Tobago.

The agreement took place following a meeting between CARICOM Heads of Government and Biden in Port of Spain.

In a statement, CARICOM said the agreement was expected to “drive strengthened trade and investment ties between CARICOM and the United States as it would serve as a mechanism for the two sides to develop practical strategies on a wide range of trade, investment and economic cooperation issues.”

The U.S have no interest in our region. If anyone can name anything which they have done for our country to foster growth/development please say so.

The U.S themselves are corrupt. What make you think they are better than us(Dominicans). I have heard a Dominican argue something which was false and the reasoning he gave is because a white man said so… Huh, does it mean he is superior to a black man. People are people regardless of color, their education is something else.

This is totally untrue. The Minister was at the meeting with the VC USA when the Trade Agreement was being discussed. Actually he and Ambassador Charles recieved their IDs together and were together at all times. The said Agreement was then signed by the VP and the CARICOM Chairman. People, word from the wise: Never speak from an uninformed position. Please always listen to two bells ring.
