HAVANA (AP) — President Hugo Chavez underwent surgery in Cuba for a pelvic abscess yesterday but is in good health and is expected to return to Caracas in a few days, Venezuela’s foreign minister said.
The procedure on Venezuela’s president was “immediate” in nature but successful and Chavez is recovering with family and should be able to return to Caracas soon, Foreign Minister Nicolas Maduro told state-run Venezolana de Television.

some of the best doctors in the world are in cuba, but do you think they are ever aloud to leave, no they are not, and makes me laugh cos DA all up in favour with chavez, and how wonderful he is, but the man has no trust in his own country medical system, to be honest has anyone been to venezula lately, people are starving in the streets, why o why are we putting ourselves with these people who can not even look after there own people.

Anywhere else and Castro would probably be dead. There are good and bad doctors everywhere. And any good doctor can and do make mistakes – they are only human after all. There is no time that you need to call on God to intervene as when you are in the hands of a doctor no matter how fine his hospital and how great his accolades.
