Bishop of Roseau Gabriel Malzaire has used the occasion of the Feast of Our Lady of La Salette to call on Catholics and Christians in general to repent.
Speaking at the celebration of the feast at the National Shrine of Our Lady of La Salette in Pointe Michel on Wednesday Bishop Malzaire stated that “the message of Our Lady of La Salette is conversion” and is asking everyone to turn away from their sins.
“If Our Lady was to appear to us right here in this shrine and visit Dominica, will she weep? As long as there remains disunity in the church, in our community and society Our Lady will weep. The sufferings of family life … the problems of family life are surrounded by sin as we lose our sense of purpose and who we are,” the Bishop said.
According to Bishop Malzaire, when our Lady of La Salette weeps she is saying Christians should head back to the cross. “I want us to take personal responsibility for this. I say to you that as long as our children continue to be abused, husbands and wives unfaithful, children disobedient and our country going astray, Our Lady will weep,” he said.
He went on to say that there is too much “dirty vices, incest and all” in the society. “Our country and world is becoming more anti religious … the churches are becoming empty. We say that we are a Christian society but we do show it? Do we lead by example? Our Lady will continue to weep,” he remarked.
He told the congregation if any correction is to be made in the Dominican society it has to begin in the homes, school, government and every faucet of life.
“So often in our life God takes second place. It all must begin in the home, school and all leadership roles that we hold in the society. We are all responsible for it, brothers and sisters. We have allowed our heart to grow cold and the world to take over us. We need to recapture our religious fervor or else we are doomed,” he stated.
The mass was attended by hundreds of pilgrims from all over Dominica including Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit and some members of his cabinet.

You need to acknowledge the extremely, sorry, sorry, person of yourself, so that you will start presenting your person with a deeper sense of enlightenment of Life–and to stop with the rules and regulations of that social group of yours, which your view as church.
A Church is meant to represent the Spiritual body of Jesus Christ, to exemplify His Love, that others might see Him through that Church, your character most certainly do not express that.

The message of the Holy Bible is the “blue-print” of Life–the Spiritual structure, attitude, and conducts, that mankind must be transformed into by their faith and God’s Grace of Love; but how, in the pit of hell, could you ever understand that!

You claim to be “consecrated” to be a “child of Mary” Well is that not a man-made doctrine, just like your “Our Lady of Lasalette”?
By whose authority did you receive that blessing of “consecration”, if you were labelled as a child of Mary? It was certainly not by the authority of “Holy Spirit” was it? Otherwise you would not be named a “child of Mary”–no one knows where Mary is right now.
The Bible tells us nothing else about her–except that she was the virgin who conceived and gave birth to Jesus Christ.
There was a time she and her other sons wanted to see Jesus, but He did not accept their wish to see Him; He said that his mother and brothers were those who sitting around Him, at the time, and listening to Him. Read Mark 3: 31-35
Don’t you understand that Jesus said: “God is Spirit and those who worship Him should worship in Spirit and in Truth” John 4: 24 Where did this “child of Mary” thing come from, if it is not part of the set of man=made doctrines in your social group, which you guys call church?
Lady, you are nothing but a nuisance, going after every one’s opinion with yours, which is not of this world neither of heaven. You are not spiritually sensitive, you need to ask God to connect you to His Holy Spirit, that you will come to know “the Truth”, which makes you free according to Jesus Christ.

I have known since childhood the Catholic Church teachings and devotions are approved by Our Lord Jesus Christ. They are here to stay until the end of time and this is what I am concerned about.

Every time I hear that familiar call asking people to repent given by religious leaders it always prompts me to say how dear you tell me such thing. This is not new,it is an age old Psychological tool used by religion to make their followers fell guilty, it is also a form of mind control and manipulation that has worked it magic for hundreds of years and served them well.
We as humans have spent countless amount of money finding ways to stop and prevent viruses and germs from infecting us and over looked one thing that is more potent and dangerous which affects as humans and that is called The power of suggestion something so subtle but potent and destructive depending on the suggestion and the one making the suggestion.This has been a tool used by Religion, Advertisers and Politicians.

The BBC reports today 22 Sept:”The Roman Catholic Church in the Australian state of Victoria confirms that more than 600 children have been sexuallty abused by priests since the 1930’s”.
Those who ask us to repent should come off their hight throne and set the example, in public, before they can exppect their followers to accept their spiritual guidance. Being a catholic myself I feel betrayed by my own church.
As the apostle preached to the Church of Rome, he mentioned that it was a great misfortune that the people of Israel, who did not accept Jesus Christ as they Lord and Saviour–had simply rejected the Gospel–the message of Life.
So Paul wrote about the reason the Israelites did not have the Gospel–which we as human beings need, if we are enter the Life that is eternal in

Therefore, according to Paul, the Israelites faced a serious dilemma, a dilemma which still exists for today. Here is how Paul explained that dilemma, in speaking about the Israelites of whom we, Christians, are a part of today:
Paul’s observations were: How then shall they call upon Him, whom they have not believed? And how can they believe in Him, of whom they have not heard? And can they hear without a preacher? And how can they preach unless they are called? Romans 10: 14-15.
Well that is the problem with us today! It is not about our claims, that we believe in Jesus Christ. It is not that we have not heard of Jesus Christ. It is about having believed, received, and conceived, the Good News of Jesus Christ, that we might come to know the Almighty God of Life, in “Spirit and Truth” through this message.
The problem is that the majority of people have not yet heard the “message of Life”, because those who claimed to be the preachers of that message were not called by the God, who would have anointed them with the wisdom and insight they will need to preach the “Truth” to the people and nothing but the “Truth”.
I mean what has repentance, before our God of Spirit, through His Son, Jesus Christ, to do with that “Our Lady of La Salette” in the news article above–who is she? I say now more!

Who are you asking this question? What you do not know about you should not speak of and question. Repentance to God is also having respect for the religion of others. It is also a mark of love which you are lacking.
You were once a Catholic. You were misled and chose to renounce it. People as you who left the Catholic Church are the worst ones, turned its enemies. If you had practiced your Catholic faith properly and lived a godly Catholic life, you would never have become tepid in the faith and allowed yourself to be falsely indoctrinated and to leave it.
I am informing you, you are not on the right track. You have betrayed Our Lord Jesus Christ because you left His Church to join one which He did not establish.
The Catholic Church is The One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church, created by Our Lord Jesus Christ. It is The Church which is approved by Our Lord. It is 2000 years old and it will remain until the end of time as ordained by Our Lord Jesus Christ.
I recognize that its enemies are many spurred on by Satan and you are one of its enemies. God will deal with you in His own good time.
What you should be concerned about is the numerous little pots of churches all vying for Heaven and taking away people’s money, the little that they have. They have caused divisions. St. Paul spoke of such so-called religions. They cannot enter Heaven with lack of love, division and disunity and enmity, stamped on their souls, against the Catholic Church. When are people as you going to smarten up and learn this?
You are one of those who is in dire need of repentance and God’s forgiveness. I will further state that no one is forgiven and will go to Heaven by merely saying, “God forgive me”. It takes more than that to be forgiven. It takes sincere repentance with a humble and contrite heart, love, worship in the Church that Our Lord Jesus established, prayer, penance and sacrifice to appease God, to be forgiven and to obtain eternal salvation. Many of you are ignorant of that godly fact.
Our Lord also spoke about ‘short-cuts’. There will be no short-cuts to His Most Sacred Heart. It is too bad that you are so falsely indoctrinated. This stems from the lifestyle that people as you live. This has caused them to grow cold in the spirit of God and of the Catholic Church and to renounce their faith. Look to yourself and your conscience. Know the truth. You had it and you rejected it. Only obedient souls will enter Heaven; that you are not.
Our Lord said, “By your words you will be acquitted and by your words you will be condemned.”

Jacob had twelves sons with his two wives Rachel and Leigh and their maidservants. Hence the twelve tribes of Israel are the descendants of Jacob’s twelve sons, whom God chose as His people.
You claim that Jesus founded the Roman Catholic Church 2000 years and you people are God’s true church, so what did God do with His “chosen people” who are the “Israelites” from thousands of years before Jesus walked this earth?
The Word of God tells us the Jesus died that through His death the world might live, so is the world only those who are Roman Catholics.
I do not expect an answer–it would probably be the most stupid one or yours, but I suggest that you go to the Book of Revelation and read chapters 3 and 4–that is if you have a Bible and you know how to find the Book of Revelation in it
In those two chapters, you will hear Jesus talking to “seven Spirits” who are the final “seven churches” to be judged.
I guarantee that even if you read between the lines, you will not hear Jesus mention of what you call “Roman Catholic Church”, which you keep on insisting that He founded, but each of the seven Churches have a name.
What you do not know, and will never understand, is that God has never turned away from His people, who are the Israelites, for the sake of keeping His promise to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
But most significantly is that in Jesus Christ, we, who are the Gentiles, were given the privilege to become adopted to the fold by our faith–and to be called Isrealites–the true children of God. Hear Jesus saying according to the apostle John: “Other sheep I have which are not this fold, them also I must bring, they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock and one shepherd”. John 10: 16

Repentance simply means the changing of one’s mind, or refrain from doing something, whatever that thing may be, if I am an drunk, or I go out and murder people, if I am homosexual, or an prostitute, or a thief, the minute I decided to stop indulging in those things I have repented!
There are people and religious organizations such as the Roman Catholic Church which need to repent, and stop their false religious teachings.
The Roman Catholic should repent and teach the word of God, rather than the philosophy of some man in Rome they worship as a god!
They call their pope holly father, but the Bible teaches that only Jesus is Holly.
The now so called pope is responsible for the cover up of homosexual abuse by many priest against young boys in the past, and did nothing in order to bring these abusers to justice.
The diocese here in Los Angeles had to pay many millions of Dollars to victims of the crime.
That should trigger repentance in the face of the Roman Catholic Church; how can a man who condoned homosexuality, and rape of innocent boys, and in some case young girls be a holly man?
I ask this man to direct me to a scripture in the Bible where it speaks of any man made blessing of boats, canoe, and animals.
Where in the scriptures from the word of God are these pagan reticules are found?

So, if there is a need for repentance, the people who are suggesting that their members repent, they should examine themselves, to see if they are truly preaching, and teaching the word of God, or if they are simply serving Rome, and the one they call some pope!
They also talk about ” holy rosary,” where in the scriptures of the Bible God introduces a rosary to his disciples, and the stints of God which are the people who have accepted Jesus Christ as their savior?
Perhaps it is time that the Roman Catholic priest themselves, and their so called Bishops repent and turn to God, rather than the rituals of Rome, and their pope!
If it is not in the word of God, it is insignificant, and has no meaning excepts to the ones who may benefit from it financially!

If only you were perfect but you are not. See about your soul. God knows who and what you are at this very moment. He knows your sins. Why do you not confess them to us on this Website and be truthful?
There is not one who has not fallen short of God’s glory. You are no exception. If you had any common sense you would know that repentance means, “Repent, turn from sin and turn to God.” One does not go without the other. God cannot be deceived.
The Pope did not abuse children. The Pope does not know what is going on in the outside world unless he is informed. I can fully understand the shock when he and other hierarchy found out about the fallen priests.

There are many married men of all who did not honor their marital vows. They commit adultery. Some of them go after little children and teenage girls. They are pedophiles and also rapists. Their lives are hidden but God knows who they are. God knows what is going on in those homes.
God knows that you are in need of repentance and His forgiveness. See about that while you still have the time. I have to stand up for my Church. You should have the common sense to know that there are some unloving, disrespectful, crude and rude Dominicans who are speaking ill of the Catholic Church and its devotions. Based under the circumstances those of us faithful members who love our Church and its devotions and practice it have a reason to defend it.
I have met some very rude non-Catholics and those who have left the Catholic Church, some who I know who are not nice people. They claim to find God in other churches but their attitude leaves much to be desired. You would be in the same position if your church were criticized.

Who is this “Lady of La Salette” the Bishop is speaking of? Is she a Dominican? If not, how does the Bishop explain the worship of a Catholic god from some other country right here in Dominica? I spoke to a couple “biddo” catholics and none of them could tell me anything much about this “Lady of La Salette”. I am not making fun of the Catholic beliefs because they do have some fine doctrines but I am at a lost as to why is the “Lady” weeping for parishoiners and not for the Priests and clerics who continue to sexually molest young men; for the Bishops who hide those cases of sexual abuse from the members and for the Pope who failss to discipline erring priests and therefore permit them to continue their abominable acts? Priests are called to a higher moral obligation than the Parishoiners yet the “Lady” is presented as crying for us and not for the Priests. Now, if the Lady still cries it means she is alive and well somewhere. She must be the oldest living person on the planet yet that info cannot be found in the Guiness Book of Records. I declare that this woman MUST be dead but Papists continue to fool the flock into thinking she is alive, maybe in heaven and looking down on us. As a former altar boy, former student of a catholic school, a non-practicing catholic and as someone who always want to be respectful to authority, I hesitate being critical of the church. However, I must confess that I struggled to keep a straight face as I read the statements of the Bishop of Roseau.
Suffice it to say, if any correction is to be made in the Dominican society today, it may have to begin at the homes, school, government and indeed -the church. I agree that everyone of us starting from our religious and political leaders need to find their voices and repent, including those in bed with the corrupt, law breaking politicians. I am the first to ask for forgiveness in being critical of the church for not speaking when the situations demand that we hear from those who supposedly posses the moral authority to guide us.
It was the politicians who advised us that in our politics there is no truth and the focus on truth is a matter for the church. The politicians will agree that the church has not stood up for truth and it needs to confess and repent for this failure.
I am glad that His Worship has advised that the message of Our Lady of La Salette is conversion and that the Church will commence that process and call on the members of the clergy especially the Monsignor to turn away from their political as well as other sins as an example for us to follow.
Today, our Lady is appearing to us in the way we deal with other fellow man and the least fortunate among us. Our lady is appearing to us in those who are prepared to stand up against injustice and corruption. She is with those who call for respect for our laws, paramount of which is our supreme law- the constitution. Our lady and all the good saints are constantly weeping with disappointment of her church and the spiritual leaders among us. Our Lady is weeping in shame and disgrace in the dirty vices of our political and religious leaders in our society.

We all need to repent, and this is the extent of my support for the bishop.I am a Roman Catholic and I am very disappointed in the deafening silence of the bishop on so many instances of flagrant disregard for the laws and constitution of the land by the political directorate. To quote the late Martin Luther King, ‘There comes a time when silence means betrayal…’ and I feel betrayed by the head of the Catholic church in Dominica. As a leader I expect him to be complementary when the right and good things are done and to speak out when wrong things are done, not turn a blind eye, or pretend to be unaware or remain neutral. For crying out loud Bishop you can’t turn a blind eye to the moral decay in our society!! Speak up Sir, you have a God-given voice!! I cannot support you at present!!

It is ignorance to dwell solely on the Mother of God saying that we honor her and not Our Lord. It is not so. Our Lord knows that it is not so. He loves us to honor His Mother. He blesses us when we do.
You deny yourself His blessing because you fail to honor His Mother.
Catholics always lift up Our Lord Jesus Christ. Why do you not call Him, Our Lord Jesus Christ? I have never heard anyone of you call him that. You call Him by his name as if he is at par with you. This is how proud you are. Pride comes before the fall.
Those, as you who think that Catholics do not worship Our Lord, your words and statements come straight from the Jaws of Hell.
You formed your own church which is not approved by Our Lord Jesus Christ. Our Lord did not leave us division. He prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane that we might be one. You and your likes have caused this division and disunity. Therefore, keep your mouth and mind out of the business of the Catholic Church. It is none of your business. Your words are not worth a cent.
As I have stated some of you were Catholics who left the Catholic Church. You knew very well that Catholics worship Our Lord Jesus Christ but because you formed your religion, the only way to get people and their money, you are teaching them what Satan has taught you. You people go about saying that you are saving people. Only God saves; not sinful people as you.
As Our Lord said, some masquerade themselves as angels and deceive the people. God will deal with you in His time.

There is no salvation outside of the Catholic Church.

It is people like them, the negative ones who criticize what the Bishop stated and lambaste the Catholic Church as some of them renounced their Catholicism to join other so-called churches who make Dominica a worst place. They can never stick to the issue.
In the past there were few crimes. In the past all those other churches did not exist. Today, Dominica has more churches than it needs and crimes escalated, to mention a few. Figure this one out, despite all those churches, those who say that they have found God in other churches, why are there so many crimes and children are so disobedient to the point of rebelliousness even in schools? Is it not a shame? They are the ones who need to repent for they have done something wrong and continue to do something wrong. Yet they criticize the Catholic Church? Shame on them! God has taken note of their words as stated.

Dear Bishop I am Catholic and I say to you, I agree; personal responsibility starts with us all. It also starts in the Catholic Church.
He told the congregation “if any correction is to be made in the Dominican society it has to begin in the homes, school, government..’ Bishop you need to add ‘churches with wicked Priests who abuse our children and take our faith for granted,’ and you must have the courage to say it out loud.
While many of us may have issues with our faith and feel we do not have to attend church, especially when the Church leaders have lost their moral authority, and respect.
Cardinal Carlo Martini who died recently said: ‘”The Church must admit its mistakes and begin a radical change, starting from the pope and the bishops. The pedophilia scandals oblige us to take a journey of transformation.” I have not heard one priest talk about this statement in any service. Dead silence.. They need to discuss and deal with existing issues. If not, Soon the churches will be empty like in Ireland.. a former bastion of Catholic faith.

The Catholic Church is doing what God has ordained. It will not go against the teachings of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Our Lord has approved its Doctrines and it will remain as is until the end of time. If you refuse to know the truth while you are alive, you will know the truth when you die but it may not be a happy occasion for you because you refuse to follow the truth while on earth.
The only one i know for sure who, is pleading for us is the LORD JESUS CHRIST, why do the Roman Catholic church believe that they can pray to mary, and their prayers will be answered mary did not shed her blood on the cross of calvary, she has not saved no one yet and she, will never ever saved anyone.

You better learn it and commence paying her due honor as Mother of our God. Otherwise, you will not enter Heaven. There will be no disobedient, stubborn and rebellious people in Heaven. Satan and his followers were thrown out of Heaven. Heaven is reserved for only the holy, pure of heart, loving, peaceful and those who contribute to unity. At this moment you are devoid of that. You need to repent and observe the Mother of God as your (our) Mother which She is.

She respects the constitution and has been a good public servant, earned her way up. That was a well thought out respose to what the Bishop is asking of us but he should first start with himself he didnt come out and denounced all what and is going on our people a hungry poverty is at it’s highest all the families are suffering they are saying no one cares.
The only one we can look too for help in our lives and especially during trouible times is the Lord Jesus Christ, instead of asking Mary to intercede on our behalf we can go directly to him to plea our case therefore I would ask the Bishop to first clean his own house before asking others to do so both of which can be done at the same time, respect for the Bishop will not be becoming in a hurry.

Have you studied Revlation? It does state that saints(dead people in heaven) can intercede for the living. If you really want to educate yourself, get the book CATHOLICISM AND FUNDAMENTALISM by Karl Keating. Hopefully, your eyes will be opened and you will also learn that we, even on earth, can pray for each and are mediators for each other. How much more those who are saved and in heaven with God?

Heaven is all about living; being alive. Mary is in the grave waiting the resurrection morning. All Popes are there too; in the grave (hades). Tell them! I am a Catholic. As a teenager, I was consecrated to the Mother of God, Our Lady. Those of us who were consecrated to her were called ‘Child/Children of Mary’. This does not mean others are not her children because she is the Mother of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
I love Our Lady. I have had dreams of her including Our Lord. I have visited a farm where she is purported to be appearing. I saw visions there.
I attended a Healing Mass and when I was resting in the Spirit, the message I got was: “Keep the faith! Fear no one! You are doing well. Continue doing what you are doing. My Mother and I are with you. We bless you in the Name of the Father.”
This was from Our Lord Jesus Christ.
These days just as many people have computers, so do they have mouths and also put their fingers to the keyboard and say anything. It brings out the worst is some of them. We do know that some have fallen away from the Catholic Church due to their lifestyle and association with non-Catholics including those who formed their own churches and who speak evil against the Catholic Church.
