BREAKING NEWS: New Pope elected

The new pope making his first appearance
The new pope making his first appearance

The world’s 1.2 billion Catholics have a new leader.

The new Pope is Argentinian Jorge Mario Bergoglio.

He  takes on the name Francis I.

He is  the first non European Pope in over 800 years.

The new Pope will replace Benedict XVI, who stepped down last month saying he was no longer strong enough to lead the Church.

The 115 cardinals voting for the new Pope have been in isolation since Tuesday.

The rising of the white smoke was greeting to thunderous applause from crowds massed in St. Peter’s Square flying flags from around the world.

“It’s so emotional. We thought we were going home and the smoke was going to be black,” one Catholic told the BBC. “We’re so touched. It was really incredible.”

@ Manzeh Lizavier4Jesus ..:” hope you realize that you always go after my post, for whatever reason I write on DNO. When you are not using “Tut-Tut”, you are using “Frenz” and others that I recognized in the past. ..””

Woman get a grip of your self!!! First of all that is a BLATANT LIE, DON’T YOU CLAIM TO BE A CHRISTIAN? AND FOR YOU TO BE LYING ON OTHERS. I TUt-TUT have NEVER used any other name, including Frenz and the others your warped, lying, dishonest mentality claim. That is a damn lie. Everybody who opposes you it’s me! Girl please. You are annoying and biggot and I call it as I see it. Truth be told I don’t even read your garbage, I just tell you what all the other thumbs down I see you get mean!! You are so damn self pre-occupied and wanting affirmation you will even tell lies. You can recognize other names people use and lie and say it’s me, and you can’t recognize that your rantings are idiotic, self serving and annoying, bruising the brain of others? When Krazy-T charger you on the other blog it was me too? I bet you are the one giving yourself thumbs up! You have been dismissed. I don’t go after you, I’m all about MEN. But the BS you keep posting, and those long, overbearing rantings, I will comment. If you don’t like people chastising you, then stop it. GET LOST, I wonder what Jesus thinks of you for lying like this on someone on DNO, to make yourself look important? Go find the verse in your bible that talks about bearing false witness!

Tuttut don’t waste your time on that woman! She’s from my area and most who know her would say the same. Very talkative and always thinks she’s right. Some people really believe when they quote bible and shout they’re christian and washed in imaginary blood, their real past is whitewashed. Ignore her, she behaves like that on every blog. Loves to argue and once you have a different view, you are her enemy. Very childish for a grown hardback. She knows many people are irritated by her rubbish but she will focus on you.

      • March 22, 2013

        @Eggliston

You are another imposter. You do not know me, for I am sure of the people who know me was in their 20’s when I left Dominica.

You do not have the attitude of my people either, and if you are from Eggleston (which I doubt you are) we are still not the same kind of people.
You are sounding just like your friend “Tuttut” herself.

She takes pleasure in doing that kind of disguise game, like the idiot which she really is–just like you. No doubt you only get the one thumbs up just like her, whenever she writes against me–for that thumbs rating is coming from herself–you too!

    • March 15, 2013

When Krazy-T charger you on the other blog it was me too @Tut-Tut March 15, 2013

You just gave yourself away, you stupid fool! I always knew that you are on that other blog, which you mentioned above. You just confirmed my perception; so be care that I do not have to mention your real name to DNO audience. I know that they don’t like you, just as much as you know that for yourself.

Your style of language is every where you speak–just look at “MANZEH” and “biggot” I know you meant to write Mamzel) if you claim not be “Frenz” than “Frenz” is you–I do not care how much you choose to deny it–you know that I am speaking the truth

I won’t mention the other Identities you use unless you use them against me, but I can still identify your style of language through those identity. Don’t try a new one, you will not get away with it–mark my word.

If you are looking at thumbs rating to prove your point that makes you a greater fool than I think you are. You mentioned that you do not read my writing, why would I worry about thumbs rating in the negative term like your crazy attitude here?

You are the only one who goes after my posts with you negative ranting–speak for yourself, let me hear what others have to say. And I will not allow you to get away with your foolishness–just keep that in your mind.

Nonetheless, you and those who give me thumbs down are simply afraid of the force in my writings–just like the devil was afraid of the authority he knew that was in Jesus–up to the point when he asked Jesus to send the Legion of his demons into a herd of pigs, causing them to run into the lake and drown themselves.

So be careful about what I can come to know about you, just by reading your words and what Holy Spirit can do to you through the wisdom He pours into my mind from day to day.

And by the way Krazy T. has never said anything bad to me–he has always spoken to me as a friend. You are talking about yourself, in speaking about him. Thank you for using him to tell me exactly who you are–you stupid carnal minded individual.

Keep your lesson of the Bible to yourself–it is well with my soul

Some of the other Christians seem to have it twisted from what they have been taught about catholic Christians.. First of all catholic Christians are Christians as well. Catholics worship and pray to ONE GOD.

Catholics do not pray to statues.. Some ppl take it to an extreme they become consumed with religion and their faith. I know many Latin people that make offerings to a statue I’m a catholic I dont do this. Never will! The statues are just objects.

We say father as respect. In traditional old ways a father is the leader of a house. This is not used as father god. Many people are referred to as father in the bible. As pointed out father Abraham. The term dosnt mean we think the bishop or pope is god.

It is true Catholics from the past had forced their beliefs onto people in the new world. Many slave masters were Christians and not Catholic Christians m do forth.

The rosary signifies the pain agony death and reserection of Christ. It’s not about marry many of you believe.

    We do not worship mary.

We do not worship the pope

We do not worship anyone but GOD..

God can be defined as the father the son the holly spirit all in one.. That is why mary is the mother of god. The hollyspirit Is explained in the bible. Some ppl don’t understand it so avoid it.

I have long chosen to be spiritual and not religious. You see all them bible toting poquit below there how they show a lack of tolerance for even each other? I rest my case. When did the catholic church ever claim (memsee I have issues with them re slavery etc)the bible told them to have a POPE? Some people are so ignorant in all their elightenment! This is the people’s tradition, every house must have a master, and so if this group chose to call their leader POPE and have a ritual/tradition/culture whatever they so desire to elect him, bondieu leave the people alone. The world is the way it is today full anger and wars because religion and politics have divided the man from his spirit. Pentencostal,SDA, Jehovah Witnesses, Baptist, they all have CONFERENCES and a supreme head of the conference, what is so wrong about Catholics having a Pope? Respect the people and their religion. Anything you adore and worship and scared to part with is of itself a graven image, live and let live.

Welcome tan Pope Francis, lead your church and flock. Palm Sunday I will be front and center at St Patricks, I feel a little worship and praise coming on.

      March 14, 2013

I don’t think the issue is about the selection of a leader; it’s more about the sexual and sinful scandal facing the congregation and the obvious disregard for the plight of the wounded. The church expected the world to just stand by, as if all is well, and watch them elect a new leader. The intolerance of many people is not for the catholic church, but rather for a spiritual organisation destroying the lives of the same people it was created to care for. Non-catholics lime me would have preferred to follow a “cleansing-of-sorts” by the church at this present time instead of keeping things as they are and moving with the election of a new leader.

Hate ignorance..There is incest in the Bible,Lot and his daughters. However because it’s in the bible dose not mean that GOD approves of it.From reading the bible in it’s entirety I’ve never stumbled upon GOD finding HIMSELF in a jam.
GOD has always worked it out in the way it is supposed to be.The problem is man,he comes along and thinks he knows better than GOD,the one who puts him there and keeps him there.
There was really no need for the incest between Lot and his daughters, since they were not the only ones on planet earth at the time.
Abraham and his wife Sarah, and others were around. The problem with Lot and his daughters was(do not forget where they came from and what was going there)they were not busy to get out off there, the angels had to literally drag them out.
And so GOD got them out of Sodom but HE could not get Sodom out of them. The same as when he got the Isralites out of Eygpt,HE could not get Eygpt out of them, they all perish in the wilderness.
And so when man choose to do it his way instead of GOD’s,and it would appear to have gone unchecked by GOD,don’t be fooled that’s never so.
If HE allows it to pass, rest assured the consequences will follow and usually it goes on for a very long time.
There’s a perfect example. When GOD told Abraham and Sarah what HE was going to do for them.Sarah could not wait and choose to do it her way.Don’t we up until today are seeing the consequences of her action.(The middle east)

You know There are some frauds so well conducted that it would be stupidity not to be deceived by them, and one such fraud you are alluding to is the acceptance of an entity called Jehovah to which you are asking people to pray to, that bewilders me.Why would someone worship and pray to an entity who rules by fear, manipulation and intimidation.

This Jehovah causes so much mayhem and killings and even requesting sacrifices to please him.Reading the Bible and praying to Jehovah is not going to help mankind from being deceived.

    @J.J.John-Charles March 13, 2013

This is just to extend your post; I am not saying you are wrong: the one below has a few typing errors.

The Rock upon which Jesus declared He would build His Church was Peter’s faith. For Peter could not have spoken what He spoke about Jesus without that kind of faith, which is pure and consecrated—that would mean that Peter spoke those words about Jesus without a single doubt in his mind—that is what faith is about.

Jesus knew that Almighty God, Eternal Spirit, Christ in Him, had used the force of faith in Peter to make that declaration: “You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God” And Peter had spoken the “Truth”

Jesus said that He would use the faith which Peter had to build His Church; we know that Jesus did just that in the Book of Acts—so not only Peter had that kind of faith. Apostle Paul was even greater in faith than Peter was, in that he learned the Gospel of Jesus Christ by the Power of Holy Spirit and his wisdom of faith

Up to today, no one can make that declaration without the wisdom of faith that Peter used to do so. That is the reason most people, even we who claim to be Christians, do not understand what it means to say: “Jesus is Lord”. For without faith no one can conduct a relationship with God, but it is only through that relationship that God reveals Himself to His people.

For that reason everyone is going around doing the works of “religion”—to praise the Pope and his doctrines, and hail to the bishop, the priest, the preacher and the pastor and their teachings, even calling out to Mary who is dead to save their lives–good heavens!

Those habits have no “Spiritual” attachment to them; so Holy Spirit is a stranger to everyone–except that a person cannot claim to be dealing with God, without that Spiritual attachment, for God is Spirit—not of the flesh!

And so people continue to walk in and walk out of the “church houses” only to suit their likings, that is the reason Jesus has said only a few will enter the door of the gate that leads to Eternal Life.

God Almighty, the Living God in His Person of Love, Jesus Christ, wants people in Salvation, reconciled to His Holiness with reverend fear.

So let those who have ears hear what the Spirit is saying; so that they might seek the God of Spirit and Truth, with the commands of Love.

And Love is the ways of Life in the man with an awakened soul within him. No man can give his brother that Life; not even 100,000,000 popes put together, especially where the “spiritual” channel known as faith is absent.

@Tut-Tut March 14, 2013 “Every topic have to be dominated by you and your interpretation”!

I hope you realize that you always go after my post, for whatever reason I write on DNO. When you are not using “Tut-Tut”, you are using “Frenz” and others that I recognized in the past. Would you like me to tell you who is the force behind your attitude? But I will keep the answer to myself.

What you do not know is that I do not write to you, who is totally deaf and blind in the state of death and darnkess–my writings is to edify those who are searching for the Truth of our God of Love and Holiness, in Spirit and truth.

Just so you know that you exalted me when you said that “I dorminate every topic”! You are darn correct! Because it is not I that speak it is Holy Spirit who speak through me; His words will dorminate among all others–and mostly like those of yours.

That is why I am challenging you to tell me that it is He (Holy Spirit–Christ in the Man Jesus) who commanded you to write what you wrote above against my writings.

And one more thing! You can beat your head from your skull to your brain, until you suffer complete brain damage, DNO is my blog site just like the rest of you–Dominican or not.

I have already told you that they are the only ones with the authority to stop me from writing on this site. But they won’t do that. And you know why? Because they are not as carnally minded as you are.

At least I am sure that I contribute the Word of Life, to those who will take heed; continue in your state of lost, confustion, and death–your rewards are yours alone.

Looking into the background of Pope Francis he seems to be a very humble man.

It is hoped that he will tackle the challenges that faces him head strong.

Thirdly, he is a very well educated man, an intellect and humble from what I looked into, we hope that this humility can be challenged into building bridges like what Pope John Paul II tried his best to do.

We wish the Catholics well on their election of their new Pope and to continue our dialogue with them to understand and clarify the misconceptions between Catholics and Muslims God’s willing.

To my fellow colleagues on D.N.O, even if we differ with Catholicism, not all times one has to post negative remarks.

Once again congratulations to the people of the Catholic Church on their election of a new Pope, we hope to hear more stories of spiritual enlightenment across the world.

JESUS alone , (not Mary not Pope not priest not pastor) is the Way the Truth and the Life (John 14:6). DO not worship man. Worship God.
We no longer are in the dark ages we have no more excuses for rejecting Christ and his Word. His Word is available for all of us to read in our own native language. That the pope is non-european may be a tad misleading to many. Many assume that he being from Latin America automatically makes him of hispanic stock. He is actually the offspring of 2 Italian immigrants to Argentina. So he technically is Italian Argentinian. So in reality the the papacy has returned to italian stock as many pundits have predicted.

In this case, they are indeed hypocrites. We Catholics know that they have caste aside and ignore certain chapters of Holy Scripture. I could name a few of the passages. They take what they want and what suits them and leave out the rest and interpret Scripture according to their mentality. God will take care of them in time. They will never win. Catholics must know this and not be swayed by their influence to renounce their faith.

ANONYMOUS, YOU ARE SO RIGHT.No where the bible talks against election of a pope.Do you know why? Because there is no pope in the bible.
I think we are over-playing “judge not,” Do you know that you also judged the person who carries the name “Return to the bible?” You read his/her comments and judged that he is wrong.

Now I know the Roman Church believes that Peter was the first pope, and hanged their belief on Matthew chapter 16:13-20.Let us give this dialogue a close look.
Jesus asked his disciples,”But who do you say that I am?” Peter answered,You are the CHRIST, the Son of the living God.Christ told him My Father revealed this information to you. Verse 18 in the Greek there is a play upon words in this statement:”You are Peter (petros, a stone or pebble),and upon this rock (petra,a massive rock) I will build my church.
Now, was Christ telling Peter he would be the foundation of His church?,never’He told Peter upon your answer I will build my church. What was Peter’s response to the Lord’s question?

“YOU ARE THE CHRIST,THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD.”

It is upon Christ Himself that the Church is Build.See what the Apostle Peter writes (1 Peter 2:4-8);compare also Paul’s statement 1 Corinthians 3:11 FOR NO OTHER FOUNDATION CAN ANYONE LAY THAN THAT WHICH IS LAID,WHICH IS JESUS CHRIST.
Peter never claimed to be a pope,He said I am an apostle of Jesus Christ 1 Peter 1 and if you go to chapter 5:1 he said “I am also an elder (pastor, overseer, same office).
Friends we should not blindly follow man made teachings, but receive the Lord as our Savior.

Daniel Hannan, member of the European parliament said last year.
“It is better to stand alone with the truth, than to stand with the multitude in error.

    On Christ the solid Rock I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand.
All other ground is sinking sand

    • March 13, 2013

The Rock upon which Jesus declared He would build His Church was Peter’s faith. For Peter could not have spoken what He spoke about Jesus with that kind of faith, which is pure and consecrated.

Jesus knew that Almighty God, Eternal Spirit, Christ in Him, had used the force of faith in Peter to make that declaration: “You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God” And Peter had spoken the “Truth”

Up to today, no one can make that declaration without the wisdom of faith that Peter used to do so. For without faith no can conduct a relationship with God. For that reason everyone is going around doing the works of “religion”, which has no “Spiritual” attachment to it.

And so they continue to walk in and walk out of the “church house” to suit their likings. However, God Almighty, the Living God in His Person of Love, Jesus Christ, wants people in Salvation, Reconciled to His Holiness with reverence fear.

So let those who have ears hear what the Spirit is saying! So that they might seed the God of Spirit and Truth with the commands of Love–the ways of Life in the soul. No man can give man that Life; not even 100,000,000 popes put together, especially where the “spiritual” channel known as faith is absent.

We all love to accept we want from the Bible. I hope and pray that you follow it to the letter. The Bible never spoke of dno done we are trying to be do literal. Do you enjoy a drink of wine. I hope you do since that was Jesus’s first miracle and that you don’t have clothes woven of different fabric. We should also stop all farming in Dominica since one should never plant different crops in the same field and most farmers have multiple crops in the same field. since i assume you are not catholic and this is not your faith why do you want to dictate what they should do. Also why are all religions now calling their ladders bishop?

St. Paul said, “Have a little wine. It is good for the stomach.”
Those critics and enemies of the Catholic Church lack intelligence and spiritual enlightenment. They have projected how wicked and hateful they are; not good people.
They are also ignorant in Holy Scripture. They do not impress me. If they were well-conversant in Holy Scripture and knew the correct interpretation, they would not make such statements. They use Scripture for wickedness. These are they Our Lord said, “Their hearts are hard.”
God knows what they are up to and have taken note of their comments as imbedded in their hard hearts. They will pay for it someday.
Our Lord Jesus Christ who established His Catholic Church upon earth never forgets one way or the other.

      • Justice and Truth
        March 14, 2013

Practically everyone on earth says “Father” and “My Father”. They may say it in different languages but it still means Father. These critics have a mortal and spiritual problem.
The parish priests represent Our Lord Jesus Christ. It is appropriate that we call them “Father.” What else can we call them as priests? In effect they are our church fathers. We should not call them by their names or say Mr. It is appropriate and with good reasons that we call them “Father.”
It is too bad for those who do not comprehend it. They lack the grace of God and enlightenment.

Man, I agree with your statement. Just today I was having a discussion with a co-worker who brought up that same Peter talk.

What nobody tells me is what is the link between Peter and Constantine who created the Catholic church?

No man goes unto the FATHER but through JESUS CHRIST. Where them man come calling man Holy See and talking about he is GOD’s representative on Earth while at the same time praying to statues and saints?

That is why many are called and few are chosen…

Today the whole world there looking at a chimney while a sea gull perched on it. The bible say it is a foolish generation that look for signs.

All them catholics come talking about how they praying to patron saint this and saint that, how come there ain’t no saint Abraham and saint Moses?

One last one, if GOD created Mary and caused her to carry his son, how then is she the ‘mother of GOD’?

Boy let them people have their pope and the blind lead the blind eh…

What God has ordained no man, no simple man, no little man, no sinful man, no educated and uneducated man, no king, queen, prince, princess, president and premier can ever change it or annul it. J J John Charles, the bible does not speak against election of a pope but the bible clearly states criteria and guidelines for the election of a “Bishop”. I’m sure you would agree that in order to ascend to the lofty office of Pope, one must first become priest, bishop and so on… Pope Bergoglio was in fact Archbishop of Argentina and is now “Bishop of Rome” !!

I am replying to this post not in an effort to engage in any tit-for-tat but as a means of clarification for those who will read your post.

      1 Timothy CH 3 vs 1-5 says:

1 This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.
      2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behavior, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
      3 not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;
      4 one that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;
5 (for if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)

The scripture clearly says a bishop “must” be husband, father and so on. Last time I checked the person elected today is not married and has no children.

I viewed the coverage and have to say that the Pope is a very humble man and should be emulated, but that doesn’t mean that catholic traditions are the will of God and it certainly does not make catholic traditions right in the sight of God either. The scripture is clear!!!

John Charles, leave Catholicism to Catholics and all you critics and enemies of the Catholic Church. You have no business in it since you become a traitor to the Catholic Church and its enemy. You are not an expert, far from that and not even on Holy Scripture.
Why are you concerned about the Pope and make such statements? Why are you making it your business? You have renounced your Catholic faith. Are you not satisfied with that? You are only feeding Satan who is influencing you. Satan is smarter than you and he is laughing at you. He knows that the Catholic Church is The One and Only True Church that God established on this earth. In Heaven, Satan, proud as a peacock said to God, “I will not serve”. You have stated the same thing to God that you will not serve when you renounced your Catholic faith. St. Michael the Archangel threw him and his fallen angels out of Heaven. St. Michael said to him, “Who is like God?”
Understand that and keep quiet for you are not a speaker of or for the Catholic Church. You do not have that authority. God did not give you the mandate. Stay where you have found yourself in and cease being envious. No one told you to renounce your Catholic faith except Satan. This is what he did to people as you. If you knew anything about the Catholic Church you would not have left it.

The Pope is the leader of the Catholic Church. He was chosen by the Cardinals in prayer through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. It is difficult for minds as yours that are not godly spiritually inclined to fathom and grasp which is why you left the Catholic Church and turned its enemy.
The Pope is not your leader since you renounced your Catholic faith. Why then do you and peopole as you concern yourself with what does not concern you and should not? You are wasting your time. Mind your own business and see about your personal affairs.

Have you forgotten how slaves were brought to the islands and elsewhere in the world? Also slaves of other nationalities, Chinese and Indians, even to Canada? You must read all history books. You lack expertise in such matters. I advise you if you are not so educated, to keep your mouth shut and in this respect your fingers away from the keyboard.

I am a proud Catholic. Proud to be one. No one can take that away from me. Do you know what? Ever since I resided in Dominica since childhood I was always proud to be a Catholic and for good reasons.
In case you do not know it, Catholic means universal. This was God’s plan for the world when He sent his only Son to earth. Sadly, some people have chosen to renounce their faith and to join other churches. They have caused divisions, disunity and lack of peace. You are not better off than the smart Catholics who remained in it and continue to fervently practice the faith. They know that it is The One True Church.
The reason why some of you renounced your Catholic faith it is because you knew nothing about it and did not make it your business to know about it. You have erred. I feel sorry for all of you who are living in ignorance of the truth. Pray to God to reveal this to you.
It is not love for God and for others that you criticize their Church. Cease this otherwise you will pay for it in time as God hears you.

You have NO idea as to Biblical issues. Mary was the elected vessel through which The Christ came into the World. He died for our sins so that we could all be free and see God. Her place in heaven is very well secured. PLEASE RESPECT MARY AND OUR BELOVED CATHOLIC CHURCH.

There is a difference between spiritual ignorance and religious ignorance , i think you mix them up. I think people need to be more spiritual and less religious. Religion and politics have been used for hundreds of years to divide the masses. Denominational wars are strong in our Dominican societies , imagine they claim its not right for an SDA to marry a catholic. lol lol lol . what love got to do with religion or denomination. The world is just a sad place. Further more the so called bible is missing so many chapters and books that its amazing . God created Adam and Eve so where did the rest of humankind came from if incest did not take place. lol . so how could the bible condemn it later down , i am confused. lol. I am not for incest but just asking .Will we ever get a black pope?

who are you to cast judgement?. If you claim to know the bible then you will read that all judgement should be left for the almight
