Shrine of La Salette in Pointe Michel

Hundreds of Catholic pilgrims will converge on the Southern community of Pointe Michel today to celebrate the feast of Our Lady of La Salette, dubbed “the village feast.”

The celebration is the culmination of a 9-day Novena which started last week with a high mass by Bishop Gabriel Malzaire con-celebrated by retired Arch Bishop Kelvin Felix.

The rest of the Novena was conducted by newly ordained priest, Fr. Brankar John.

Well over 15 priests are expected to be present to celebrate the mass with Bishop Malzaire as main celebrant.

His Excellency President Eluid Williams, is expected to be in attendance.

La Salette in Pointe Michel was declared a “national Shrine”.

“Telemaque, you are not now lambasting the PM. You are now on the back of the Catholic Church? Poor you, Telemaque who do not know what you are saying and are neither here nor there.”

Justice & Truth, I would like you to provide me with a copy of anything I wrote anywhere, that remotely resembles the lambasting of the “PM.” Say I did something if I have done it, however, I strongly detest false allegations, accusations, and innuendoes.

Believe you me if I have lambasting to do as far as the prime minister is concern, I am man enough to contact him directly and tell him what is on my mind!

Be informed if I wish to talk to the PM about anything, and that is if you are referring to Mr. Skerrit, for any reason, I can get in touch with him at this very moment wether, he is in office in the country or out of Dominica, okay!

For as long as you live you will never read me writing anything bad, derogatory, or defamatory about Skerrit, Lennox Linton, Tony Astaphan, and a few others.

However, if there is something wrong in the country which concerns me, you can be assured I will speak out about it, without fear of reprisal, or lost of love, nevertheless, if you are suggesting, or hoping that I am into personal attacks, on whichever PM you are insinuating, you have tagged the wrong man, because I have never written anything personal about Skerrit, if he is the PM you are referring to.

Now this is to simply clear the air; it is not because I have any fear, or care of the unfounded remarks or allegations you made!

Where it pertains to me be truthful, do not impose a lie on me, do not say anything about me or others that is not true because lies are much easier to believe than the truth, and I am sure you do not wish to be know as some who lies on the unsuspecting!

The fact you said I am “lambasting the PM” is a lie! As far as I am concern we have a forum where many of us speak our mind on issues in our country, almost every politician in Dominica, including Mr. Skerrit is a recipient of our communication, I am more vocal in that from than here on DNO, and if by any chance I said anything offensive, or did any lambasting in regards to Skerrit, he would have already called it to my attention.

Be truthful, and that’s all I have to say about that!

And by the way the comments I made regarding your Roman Catholic saints which you pray to, the word of God condemns that, is as clear in the Bible; if it cannot be supported by the word of God it is a false doctrine of a sinful lying man!

My trust and belief are in God and his written word, not in Rome; and Roman Catholic ideology.

I recall this Hymn when I would go to Pointe Michel for the Novena and Feast Day. It was sung at Mass or during the Novena. Someone in Dominica or Pointe Michel should remember it. I hope I remembered all the words correctly.

Hymn to Our Lady of La Salette

In tears Our Lady showed herself
    That day at La Salette
And beg that mortals make amends
    With penance and regret.

She spoke to him a shepherd boy
    And her, a shepherdess
To spread the truth throughout the world
    For hope and happiness.

She warned of famine and of pain
    And even greater pain
That those who disrespect her Son
And use his Name in vain.

Dear weeping Mother let us pray
    To your beloved Son
And ask his great forgiveness for
The wrongs that we have done.

Help us to follow in his path
    And never once forget
The kindly warning that you gave
    In tears at La Salette.

Is DNO in the bible? Is commenting on a website in the bible?

That is always what all you does say everything no in Bible, okay it isn’t but what benefit does this unscriptural event have to christian catholics???

      • Francisco Telemaque
        September 19, 2013

You know; it is one thing to be ignorant, however, however, however, it is something else to be simply stupid!

What does DNO have to do with something such as false religion teachings?

Why should an online media be in the Bible?; DNO does not profess to be a church, or a organized religion, although religion could be define as anything with a large following, and that does not mean it is of God!

Nobody at DNO preaches about God therefore, DNO is not teaching and spreading false devil doctrine. Any preacher, who comes to you from any religion, with any teaching different to what is in the Bible is preaching; or teaching a false doctrine.

If there is no evidence in the written word of God found in the Scroll or the Bible, even the Roman Bible, it is false doctrine, not of God but of the Devil!

I do not care how white is their gown, how much cross they carry, and how firm they clasp their hands together pretending to be holy, they are doing the work of satan!

A follower of Jesus Christ is a Christian, not a follower of religion. Christians are saints:

        Proof:

The Epistle Of Paul The Apostle To The Ephesians: it is important to note Paul was writing to the Ephesians, who are people. I we read Ephesians 1:18, 19, we will find Paul said ” The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye my know what is the hope of this calling, and what the riches of glory of his inheritance in the saints.

And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power. If you have no ability to understand what I wrote here, I am simply proving to you that people followers of Jesus are indeed saints, and not the false ones the Roman Catholic invented.

Saints in the flesh dies, God said in his word ” the dead has no power” he also said he is the God of the living, and not the dead, so what sense does it make for someone to pray to a dead St. Peter, or a St. Paul, and I use the names Peter and Paul, because Roman Catholics do pray to Peter and Paul.

And do not try to tell me it is not so, because when I was dumb, and followed the teachings of the Roman Catholics, I was forced to patronized an idol called St. Joseph, as my patron saint, eery Saturday, my Grandmother when she went to clean the church, she would make kneel in front that thing, and pray, until one day, God opened my eye, and I ask my Grandmother, how come every Saturday, I am praying to this thing, however it head is in the same position all the time.

Food for thought, the rest is history.

Our Lord spoke of marriage and divorce. It is in the Bible and see how many divorce and re-marry, disobeying God and living in sin. Do they not see this?
These people are not sincere Christians. They do not practice what Our Lord taught us saying, “I give you a New Commandment love one another.”
In fact, I do not view them as Christians. They are cantankerous people who cause divisions, disunity and lack of peace. They have no respect for the Catholic religion and cannot leave us alone.
God knows them and their hearts. They do not even love God. He will deal with them in time. I am informing you, God will punish them.

What the Bible contains is the message of Life, Life which must be demonstrated through our physical features in Love–showing peace, joy, goodness, kindness, faithfulness, endurance, humility, and self control through our everyday behavior–we call this demonstration, “walking in Love”.

I am saying that God is Spirit and He wants those of us, who are His chosen people to walk in Spirit, that means walking in Love just as Jesus taught us to do so.

The World and it system is not of God–that is the reason the apostle John tells us; The lust of the eye and the lust of the flesh and the pride of human existence is not of the Father it is of the world. And the world and every thing that is in it is passing away–that world in question is the people who are conformed to the system of the existing, which is not of God.

A Christian ought to be a disciple of Jesus Christ, and as Jesus’ disciples we are to live the Ways of God, it is all in the Bible. Even if we live in the world, we do not belong to it–keep that truth in your mind.

In another article, you asked a question and I responded. I thought you meant well but you do not. If only you people loved God and love others, you would not make such statements. This hatred is imbedded in your heart.
Know what is contained in Holy Scripture. Do not criticize the Catholic Church. You may have been a Catholic who foolishly made the error of renouncing It.
What are you learning at present, to love and serve the Lord and through others? You are not a sincere Christian.
When I consider Judgment Day, even while you are on this earth, you will regret it for persecuting the Catholic Church.
You do not know Holy Scriptures. If you knew you would also not make such a statement. Read the following and keep a record of it including a mental one:

1 Timothy 6:3-7 – Teach and urge these things – Whoever teaches something different and does not agree with the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ and “the religious teaching’, is conceited, understanding nothing, and has a morbid disposition for arguments and verbal disputes. From these come envy, rivalry, insults, evil suspicions, and mutual friction among people with corrupted minds…

St. Paul spoke and wrote very well about people like you. It is in the Bible! God rewards the good and punishes the wicked.

I attended the nine night novena and my faith was rejuvenated by the sound teachings of Father Branker John. I was really moved when he asked us to bring along our Bibles to prove the word he was imparting on to us. The people who like to give on Catholics by saying that we don’t use the people to search for Biblical text then they must attend one of Father Branker’s services. I will remember the topics: Time self in the presence of God, Time for my Neighbour, Where your heart is there lies your treasure, Talents and Gifts, Tithes, Power of the Cross. God and Mother Mary bless me and my family and bless Father Branker.

I attended the Mass this morning. It was indeed spirit-filled. Bishop’s homily encouraged us to take a good look within ourselves and to make a serious effort to change for the better – to be more respectful, more caring, more forgiving and more loving – the way God loves us!

“Lord knows we need our Mother to bless and keep us. Our Lady of La Salette pray for us. And pray for our country.”

What is “Feast of La Salette?”

I say nothing; since it has nothing to do with God Jehovah, and his Son Jesus Christ, who died for the sins of those who has recognized, and accepted him as their Lord and Savior!

Dominica is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere, the people who are more responsible for our poverty, and backwardness, are the Roman Catholics and Roman Catholicism. They teach a false religious doctrine which Dominicans believe; when they indulge in praying to false idols, and saints, their prays are not heard by God!

” But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.”

That is found in Matthew Chapter 15:9. So, what does that have to do Dominica’s poverty one may ask?

    Look at this quote:

“Lord knows we need our Mother to bless and keep us. Our Lady of La Salette pray for us. And pray for our country.”

Which mother of La Salette can pray to God to bless even a dog, when God himself dose not know of such Lady of La Salette, which is a creation of man, a Roman Catholic creation. One can read the Bible, even the Roman Catholic Bible, they will not find the names of any of the saints the Roman Catholics pray to mentioned.

All of that is the work of the devil, thus, vain the Roman Catholics pray and worship God, and that is the main reason our country and people are so poor! Jesus Christ never instructed anybody to pray to the Virgin Mary his mother. However, he instructed us to pray to his Father Jehovah, in his name asking him for what we want, believing we receive it, and it will be given unto us.

All of this thing feast, of St. Joseph, Paul, La Salette, and the Devil in Hell, is the work satan, taught by an organized religion the Roman Catholics, and those so called sinful men who have people calling them father, they have their place in fire!

Telemaque, you are not now lambasting the PM. You are now on the back of the Catholic Church? Poor you, Telemaque who do not know what you are saying and are neither here nor there.
Have you ever prayed to God for discernment and to assist you with what you do not comprehend instead of denouncing it and making a mockery out of it? When you die if not while you are dying, you will see the Mother of God alongside Our Lord Jesus Christ. There is a lot you do not know about the Catholic Church because you were never a Catholic. Most people from Wesley are not Catholics.
Those who left the Catholic Church did not make it their business to cultivate their faith and to grow in spirituality. This is why, being weak of faith and spirit, they allow themselves to be adversely influenced by false indoctrinators and renounced their faith and now turned enemies of the Catholic Chhurch.
I have a favorite saying, hopefully inspired by the Holy Spirit, “God will take care of all Cathholic haters and bashers in time for their ignorance and hatred.”
