As the Diocese of Roseau joins in celebrating the Feast of Christ the King on a Parish level, the St Paul and St Ann’s Parish will observe the event with a memorial Mass on Saturday, 19 November, for all deceased Scouts of Dominica.
The Holy Mass begins at 3:00 pm at the St Ann’s Church in Massacre, and is being coordinated by the Third Mahaut Scout Troop.
Then on Sunday November 20, the Scouts will lead a march from the Massacre Catholic Centre to the St Martin de Porres Chapel, in Canefield, for all uniform groups of the Parish. Holy Mass will begin at 9:00 am. Parishioners from Warner, Campbell, Mahaut, Massacre and Canefield are expected to participate in this Parish Sunday Celebration.
Mrs. Josephine Dublin will address the congregation on the significant of the changes in the liturgy.
Shaniah Edwards of the Massacre/Canefield School, Winner of the Dominica Broadcasting Services, Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and Courts Dominica, O.E.C.S. reading competition is expected to read the U.N. Message to stop Violence against Children.
Also carded for this celebration, is the launching of the “We are Family” Parish Calendar. One of the highlights of the calendar is Green Ribbon Month to be observed in January, with the focus on the Environment and also World Respect Life Day carded for Sunday 22 January 2012.
