The Dominica Association of Catholic Men (DACAMEN) is congratulating Bishop of Roseau, His Lordship Gabriel Malzaire on the occasion of his 25th anniversary.
President of DACAMEN Mathias Alexander said Bishop Malzaire has given dedicated and outstanding service to the catholic community for the past 25 years.
Malzaire, a St. Lucian native, was ordained the ninth Roman Catholic Bishop of Roseau in 2002. He is also the first black catholic bishop to serve here.
“He has served the Caribbean and Dominica well. We cannot be denied that he has contributed tremendously to the development of the Christian landscape over the past 25 years,” Alexander noted.
A celebration mass for Bishop Malzaire will take place on Wednesday at the Roseau Cathedral from 5:30 p.m.
