Oh my, so much religious activity with so little scriptural basis. Where do all these ceremonies came from :?: They are not found in the New Testament because Christ and his apostles did not practice any such rituals. Nor were they part of church life during the first few centuries A.D.

We do not offer to God a sacrifice for sins in this our day. The death of Christ on the cross was the last and final sacrifice for sin!

It was so COMPLETE it only needed to be offered once. ”…we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.” (Hebrews 10:10)

It was so PERFECT no other sacrifice was ever necessary. ”…this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;” (Hebrews 10:12)

    Once and for all!
    Once and for all!
Christ has redeemed us once and for all.

    Once and for all,
    Oh brother believe it!
    Once and for all,
    Oh, sinner receive it!

      Continuation:

      Cling to the cross,
      And the burden will fall.
      Christ has redeemed us,
      Once and for all!

”For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8,9)

      Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill. Evangelist.

Morne Jaune is blest to have a son of their soil as a Cardinal. I visualize their pride and joy in welcoming him home in Morne Jaune.
During a relevant discussion with one of his sisters, I asked her if they still have relatives in Morne Jaune. She replied, probably. It is some years since they left D/ca. I may have been a baby when Cardinal Felix’s father left D/ca for St. Lucia with his family.
I had heard of the Felix family. Then Cardinal Felix returned to D/ca where he was ordained and taught in D/ca for a while.
I suppose he spoke about his parents. Sadly his mother passed on in D/ca when they were very young. I imagine her soul is in Heaven and praying for her family.
His father nurtured them alone. This sister told me how strict he was. He passed on years after his wife did.
It is something to marvel at and be proud of that they all did extremely well. Men, a father brought them all up. He was a strong man and of spirit. Take note! :)

Indeed, God’s ways are not man’s ways.
In his short reflection, at St Theresa Chapel, Cardinal Kelvin Felix began by addressing the Students of Morne Jaune School by telling them that “He was small like them before He became an Old Man”… He then went on to say “God has blessed us with many gifts, and what that matters is what we do with those gifts…”
I was also struck by the fact that Pilgrims traveled from Suriname, Peru, Canada, England, U.S.A., Trinidad & Tobago,, St Lucia, etc. to be part of this 60 Anniversary of Ordination of Priesthood with Cardinal Felix and his Family and of course the Church of Dominica. Indeed, it is all glory and praise to God. for calling the simple and ordinary to join in building His Kingdom here on earth, Cardinal Kelvin Felix reminded us.

Congratulations and blessings to Fr. (Cardinal) Felix, a gentleman and a true example of a real Priest not found much in these current times. Thank you for your service. I hope his humility can be emulated by others.

There are other good and faithful priests worldwide. The problem is you hear of the unfaithful ones. The international Media never portray our priests as good/holy. They do not seek out to find the good ones. It appears this is not their business to seek the good in others. They portray and emphasize more on those who failed. These are only a small percentage. Since the Media knows what the public want and love excitement, this is what they are given by the Media, for weeks on end. I know it and many other Catholics do.
