The Muslim Community of Dominica is deeply saddened by the senseless acts of violence that are being committed in the name of Islam.
The acts in France that have been committed in the name of Islam are unwarranted and unacceptable.
Islam is a peaceful religion; the very name denotes peace and submission. Muslims pray five times daily and coexist serenely with their neighbours. This has been happening for hundreds of years in Europe, Asia, Africa and all parts of the world.
It is therefore disheartening to find persons who have misunderstood and misrepresented Islam causing harm; not only to others, but the very religion and its followers.
We are extremely concerned that this peaceful way of life is being threatened.
Over the ages, Islam has stood for the salvation of souls and the development of mankind, as is seen in many countries worldwide. It has never been about the destruction of the very fabric of life. As a people, we are devoted to peace and love and totally denounce hatred, bigotry and violence.
It is our spiritual responsibility to pray for peace to reign across the globe and to see that conflicts be resolved through nonviolent means.
Our prayers go out to the affected victims, families and communities; and we pray for meaningful coexistence for all.
There is only ONE religion= Obedience to God and His Will has been communicated through all these religions or life principles of righteousness we say we follow. Therefore it is upon us to first question our own thoughts and actions on humanity and the Teachings of All the prophets including Jesus who taught freedom, justice and equality. They did not compete.; we should Study that which we say we follow and look for the Word of God, which I have not been generally reading on these posts. Religion has killed more people on earth since its advent than anything else. Have we forgotten the nine crusades against the Islam world in the name of Christianity and the Church. Can we remember that in the first crusade called by Pope Urban II the Christian knights massacred almost every man, woman and child in Jerusalem, and it did not matter to them whether their victims were Muslim, Jewish or Christian. What is happening today is same story different version. Present day religious fanatics like the popes and sultans of the dark age will continue to send out their soldiers to massacre those who do not share their ideals, and just as the crusaders created the kingdom of Jerusalem the fanatics will create their own state like ISIS.
From Saturday last week to today I have spoken to people spread across from Sweden to back in the Caribbean, Central and North America. I have gotten so many views but the most common is that this did not start with religion and killing of all reasons is wrong. Terrorism before the early 90s were the drug cartels when the US saw reason to quote on quote keep them in check. In the 90s bush went into Iraq and the ripple effect from the sons and daughters killed from that time is being felt today. The west should have never invaded Iraq and try to put their culture on the east. The creator is not some mythical being beyond the clouds. Who created you? Without your mother and father you would not be here. We need to stop and re-consider the things which we have been taught. Two days ago, I speak to my face book friends about the fact that “God is a consuming fire” –Hebrews 12–29 .
People are mostly thinking of God’s Nature of Love–but Love wouldn’t hurt fly. That is why they do not accept that God plays a great role in our difficult circumstances–even to the point allowing us to suffer physical death
Those people do not know God and His Holiness (the consuming fire of His) and so they do whatever they think of doing–they do not know that at a certain time God will approach them not with His Love, but with His holiness–through that Holy nature of His, God trains and discipline the minds of His people–just like you mentioned about “Ancient Israel” of the Old Testament.
Jesus the Son, the Christ of Love, is the reason man continues to exist with their wicked, evil, and sinful mentality, because He stands in the way of the Holiness (the consuming fire) of God Almighty.
Without that shield the world would not be plagued with all of those wicked and evil so-called human beings, because just like the flood of Noah’s days those people would be wiped off through one strike of God.

It is unreasonable to quote books without examining all of the evidences and the context they were written.

Though I am happy to hear the explanation of the local Muslim community here and somehow agree with some of the things said, I want to make absolutely clear that Islam is NOT a peaceful religion. They are very dangerous no matter what part of the world they are in. History surely repeats itself. Once upon a time Christians did likewise, Orthodox Christians were equally as brutal. There is a lot you do not know. Christians were terrorized by Muslims. In those days they were called Moslems, the name spelt accordingly.
