The Pentecostal Assemblies of the West Indies wishes to add its voice to the increasing debate on the LBGT rights, and more specifically the legalizing of same-sex marriage by all 50 states of the U.S.
We at PAWI firmly believe that this recent ruling by the United States Supreme Court, or for that matter any ruling legalizing same sex marriage, does not and cannot alter or replace the infallible word of God.
The Bible recognizes marriage as a holy union between a man and a woman only, and any move to impose a law endorsing same-sex marriage upon a nation, is a move to endanger the belief of the church and violate the law of God.
Our position as an organization is that we profoundly condemn same-sex marriage, as it diametrically opposes the word of God. We believe that same-sex marriage is against the Divine plan for marriage and its purpose for procreation. Our organization promotes the family unit as a fundamental institution, where a mother and father, nurture children, instil faith, and inculcate moral strengths and spiritual values.
Thus, legalization of same sex marriage will destabilize the family unit and result in harmful consequences for the society at large.
We wish to make it clear that our opposition to same-sex marriage is in no way reflective of any kind of resent or hatred for persons who support this ideology, as this will be in stark contradiction to the very word of God which we uphold as the supreme authority governing our lives.
Rather, we continue to affirm our belief in love and respect for all humanity. PAWI stands in solidarity with all those who are courageous enough to oppose same-sex marriage within and outside the church.
As an organization, we commit ourselves to continually teach and endorse marriage between a man and a woman without compromise, as a central principle of our doctrine and practice.
I intend to build a church house and at the front of the building the following will be relayed: No bugurers,No Lesbians, No unmarried couples, No fatherless child, no couple living together unmarried, No adulterers. How many people will I get to attend services. who are of no sin let him cast the first stone. America is the Police of the world and if you are not law abiding we got you.

What rubbish. Children raised by same-sex couples are statistically just fine; indeed, lesbian couples rank highest in raising children to be healthiest, according to some polls. All this means is that good parents are good parents, and a family does not need to be a mother, father, and children. Single mothers often do just fine, as well, if they are able to financially manage. Besides, who are these Pentecostals to talk about stable families, when the Bible depicts more polygamous marriages than anything else? Polygamy–endorsed by your religious text–is far more likely to make a family unstable.
And the world is changing for the better with more and more countries openly embracing human rights. We Dominicans can choose to remain ignorant religious fanatics, the laughingstock of the educated secular world, or we can choose the path of empathy, science, progress, and toleration of difference.

Firstly, I did not say I wanted to be in any kind of marriage at all, so I don’t know where that comment came in. Nonetheless, I don’t understand this question. Many same-sex couples adopt children–and there are lots of abandoned children who could use loving homes. Are all same-sex couples good parents? Nope–but that is true of any couple. And, again, there is no evidence I know of that same-sex parents raising children has any negative impact on children relative to heterosexual parents.
However, there is very early science suggesting that same-sex couples may, in fact, be able to produce children via stem cell research. I have conflicted feelings about this, but it’s another possibility in the future, maybe.
Once more your argument is moot, should heterosexual couples who cannot have children of their own due to infertility for example…what happens to them we should prevent them fro. Adopting. Or what about couples who chose not to have children, and go the adoption route instead?

God the Creator gave us only one model – one blueprint – for marriage in Genesis 2:21-24, and this was affirmed by Christ Himself in Matthew 19:4-6.
The Bible calls sex outside a Biblical one man with one woman marriage ”fornication” which literally means illicit sex. It says ”Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.” (1 Corinthians 6:18)
People use different arguments to excuse their sins. Some say they are not Christians or they embrace a different belief system as if this places them beyond God’s laws. It does not. There is one God and one Bible (the Word of God) by which HE will judge us. It should be noted that the World Wide Assemblies of God Fellowship has 67 million members. However, there are Pentecostal churches that have not yet become part of this larger body.
However, there is a problem with your comment. If a pastor is found guilty of having one single affair, even if was a one time encounter, he would come under discipline. The pastor’s ministerial credentials would be suspended. He would not be transferred to another pulpit. He would be out of the ministry at least until there was evidence he had repented and been restored to grace. On the other hand he may never be reinstated.

Regardless of what the world thinks there is no Life outside of a relationship with Jesus, the Christ, who told us: “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life” John 14: 6

John Hopkins University’s Gender Identity Clinic was among the first in the States to perform sex changes. However, once it became clear that sex-reassignment surgeries were doing nothing to correct the underlying psychological problems of the patients, the clinic ceased the practice.

Jesus said marriage is one man and woman according to genesis. But through media and other means homosexuality has been desentized among people. In movies they were the smartest, funniest best characters. Look at the genetic make up of a person, look at the gametes. Now people don’t beat an eyelash at their presence. Why is there this distinction of X and Y chromosomes.

Some of you are misled. You also misinterpret Holy Scriptures according to your mentality and lifestyle. Pray to God for enlightenment.
While God is impartial, He will judge everyone according to their sins. There are some sins that are so atrocious they may never be forgiven.
Prior to dying, we must ask God forgiveness. No one knows what transpires between God and the dying – souls.
We cannot take God for granted and say that He will forgive us and when we are good and ready without making amends to Him. God cannot be deceived.
Every minute – day we are to ask God forgiveness and vow never to offend him anymore.
We cannot go to Heaven on our own merit, without earning it.

Last time I checked , all these religious institutions are all about making money . They quote all this stuff from the bible that is totally false and people constantly drink the kool aid . Christian churches and ministries are building, staffing, and operating schools, orphanages, hospitals, clinics, hostels for AIDS victims, rehab centers, and conducting rescue operations to save girls and women from the sex trade. They are digging wells to provide clean water. All this to the tune of multiplied millions of dollars each year.
The money for all these charitable works comes from Christians who know who the money is going to and how it will be used. I know this because my own denomination – the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada – is on the front lines of service to needy and suffering men, women, and children around the world, and is a leader in this work. Other Christian organizations are doing basically the same works, some more, some less.
The money dolled out and the benefits provided by the government comes from the tax payers. It is your money. You really don’t know where it goes.

Wow Yoland JJ, This is really ‘deep’. You get to the point where you go against the teachings of the bible which is about love and compassion, and to let the God be the one to pass judgement.
The position of PAWI is well thought of, intelligently articulated and displayed respect for the choices people make with the requisite consequencies. And that how intelligent people behave. People have rights and one of the rights is the right to be wrong.
They should keep their intrinsically evil behavior behind closed doors and not bring it out in the open. They are even contaminating the little minds and hearts of children.
They must be told lest they perish forever.
We have rights too. Our right is not approving them and condone their type of lifestyle in addition to informing them that they are going down slippery slopes, the path of perdition. We are doing them a mortal (moral) and spiritual favor for the benefit of their earthly life and immortal soul.

Rev. Donald Hill, I am going to go on a tangent like you do and state this; I have been hearing over the years the evangelicals having evidence of a gay agenda, but I have not been able to find it. What I have been able to find is a group of same gender loving people that have decided that they are going to stand up for their rights, and as far as I can see they have been doing so – successfully. May I suggest that if you have legal minds that could prove the validity of the bible in court and to change to be the constitution of the world, then all of this arguments and discussion that we are having now would end.
The only problem that I see is that every christian denomination would have a different interpretation of it. and the world will be sent back to the dark ages.
Sir our job is not to proof the bible, defending it is like defending a lion, just let it out, the bible is able to stand for itself. People say many things, prove the bible, do it without using the bible. They even make claim of science, observe, recreate ect fundamentals. Can Napoleon and his battle be proved scientifically? The bible is the highest authority. It is not just one book, but 66 reliable books written by the eyewitness and eyewitnesses of the eyewitness’s. It is precise, some people make straight forward predictions and think it profesy, but the bible has specific prophesys which each has been fullfilled, apart from future ones. Its not a coolection of books like everyother documentary out there written by man, its breathed out from YHWH.
People love trying to find craks which do not exist, it cohesive. Every gospel points to the same conclusion, there are no contradictions in this collection, this very one which God speaks to man today.

You are right on point–the idea of religion in a person will not be able to “PROVE IT”–that homosexuality is an offense in the eyes of God.
And do you know why? It is because religion is not about God; it is the work of religious believers like the people of the Supreme Court of the USA and those who continue to condone to the conduct of Homosexuality–who or whatever they are.
Soon after Jesus ascension into Heaven, He sent Holy Spirit, through whom He would be able to build His Church, as He disciplined and trained the mind of believers to receive Salvation– Life in Love, and Reconciliation, to the Holiness of God Almighty–.from which man became disbanded because of sin
But what did man continue to do? He continued to remain conformed to his lifestyle of religion–even Christians themselves. All have based their worship to God on the grounds of religion–but God said that they are worshipping Him in vain. Mark 7: 6-7
There is no need to prove in religion because it is based on belief and faith. The issue with human nature is that they were given all things to become children of the most high but because they are rebellious they cannot connect to the divine.
There is a source of light and bliss but if we focus on the issues that are contrary to natural and divine laws of the universe we cannot enjoy the things that are freely given to those who believe. I dont think it is a matter of religion but your conviction that there is someone or some energy greater than yours and if you are disconnected you will not benefit.
So, Reformer, you are willing to make absolute statements about ‘divine laws of the universe’ in one breath and say ‘there is no need to prove in religion because it is based on belief and faith’ in another? You cah be serious. If you admit you can’t prove religious claims but merely believe them based on faith, which means on no evidence–that is what faith is–then what is the difference between your religious claims and a person who believes that it is a divine law to support LGBT people? You can’t prove that person wrong, after all.
What say you? Or were you kidding about that proof part? What makes your religion better than anyone else’s, if there’s no proof involved?

Many people reject the Bible not for academic reasons or because of ”science” but for moral reasons. They enjoy their sins too much to let the Bible get in their way. If they said they believed the Bible they know they would be expected to live by God’s moral code and that they are not ready to do.
It is easier for them to mock the belief in God and scorn the Bible. It is interesting though that these ”commentators” are the most unscientific of them all! They have no objectivity and show a total lack of logic.
There are things in the Bible that cannot yet be either proven or disproven and this is where faith comes in. But other things have been scientifically proven.

When you face God for your judgment you will find out. You will not be saying to God, prove it. When you die, it will already be proven to you. Hope it will not be to your eternal detriment.
Lets adopt the position of the President of Kenya. We have too many issues of national importance that requires attention like food on the table for our family, and our children education than to worry about these non issues. If we focus on this a centre piece of our development startegy then we will not be doing justice to the generation to come so lets focus on giving our children food and a proper education that they can make a choice between what is relevant and an agenda promoted by a small group with huge resources and no children to feed.

That is the kind of misunderstanding of God’s Word–the Message of Life in the Bible–which has the world living upside down, and doing all the things which they think is right, not what God has said is right.
Adam and Eve were never born, this means that they had no “mother” and no “father”–only the Father of Spirit and Truth–God Almighty Himself Right here we have to ask ourselves what was the real plan of God for reproduction of mankind?
God created the “physical” Adam through the dust of the ground–to demonstrate His Image– and He breathed Life into that “physical” structure–the conduct the Likeness of Him, which is Love in all its perfection.

God would continue His reproduction of mankind through Adam and Eve by His concept of reproduction–man still doesn’t know what that concept was; that is the reason the apostle Paul tells us that Genesis 2: 24 “Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother an be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh”. Paul says it is a mystery at Ephesians 5: 31
Actually it was not God who said this, as the message tells us; “Adam said”, However, God’s plan for reproduction of mankind, would happened between man and woman –male and female–this plan was defiled through the sinful disobedience of Adam and Eve. We, their offspring entered this world with that sinful and dead condition.
Sexual conducts, between two men or two women, was never a part of God’s plan, in that His Love and Holiness was for His Likeness in man–there is nothing about of Love and Holiness in that conduct–it is the desire of the flesh completely.
It’s sad how the least educated people love to hide behind beliefs about agendas that don’t exist, be they ‘gay agendas’ or ‘New World Orders’ or ‘Illuminati’ claims or ‘aliens,’ etc., yet can never off a shred of concrete evidence that any such agenda exists.
And what’s this nonsense about procreation? What does same-sex marriage have to do with procreation, since the overwhelming majority of humans are heterosexual or at least bisexual and can and will procreate? What, you think this near-overpopulated world is running out of humans and needs procreation?

Who said anybody is afraid of homosexuals? How can it be homophobia for saying the truth? To call somethi g sin, means you have an idea what sin is, and who peple sin against, you are of understanding the consequences of sin also but also the ransom. All unrighteousness is sin. To him that knoweth good and do not do it to him it is sin. Romans one also calls out people who not only partake in sin buthave pleasure in those who do it. I am looking forward to equally strong statements condemning the covering up of sexual abuse of children. Gay adults make a choice to disobey the word of God and adopt a certain lifestyle with other adults and live with the consequences, as do those committing fornication and adultery.
Peadophiles however deliberately chose to have sex with children, who cannot consent and whose innocence is stolen for ever. They have a corrupt desire and an antisocial personality. THey will not stop and usually abuse many children.
The church needs to speak out on this issue. Be tough on their own. report abuse, support victims as they go through the courts and the journey of recovery and PROTECT CHILDREN

Did you know there are homosexual lobby groups working to have the age of consent lowered and in some cases eliminated? One such organization had as their motto “Sex by eight or it is too late.” (They may have been forced to drop this motto.) One gay organization publishes its own official magazine. One particular month the issue was devoted entirely to the beauty of man – boy (pedophilia) sex, and why it should be legal.
There are people working to have pedophilia declared an “orientation”. Some pedophiles say they have always been that way. Some psychiatrists say they cannot change. Does this sound familiar? If pedophilia is legally declared an “orientation ” it cannot be discriminated against.

Those who advocate for homosexuality tell us most pedophiles are straight males. Of course! This is because most males are straight. Between 3% and 4% of the population is homosexual. There are more straight males so naturally more of any crime will be committed by them. However, a homosexual pedophile will molest more boys in his lifetime than a heterosexual pedophile will girls. My own research has shown me pedophiles who have molested 100 and more, up to 200 and over 300 boys or young men under the age of consent.
Rest assured the Bible believing evangelical churches with their pastors and evangelists are already fully engaged in the battle against sexual child abuse. It is being fought within the larger context of the war against sexual perversion. The Pentecostal Assemblies of the West Indies are an example of this.

That is a real concern that the Church is in a position to address as it is a social issue that negatively affects the entire population. our children should be protected at all costs, and we should allow ourselves to be silent about it. This is a real issue that The Pentecostal Assemblies of the West Indies should be addressing, rather than wasting energy on matters of consenting adults that does not affect anyone else.

The legalization of same sex marriage, doesn’t mean you have to be part of it, it doesn’t diminish the quality of your marriage!

Again and again I read on DNO stuff like this: “Not everybody believes in your God.” “Not everybody belongs to your church.” The commentators are implying that if people do not believe then the rules do not apply to them. Is that how it is in your country? If people do not believe in your government – if they are not citizens – then the laws do not apply to them and they can do as they please?
There is one true God and He is the God of all people. He has given one Bible and it is the Bible for all people. God has given one moral code in the New Testament and it is for all mankind in this age. He has provided one plan of salvation for the human race and that is through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ.

With all due respect REV, I don’t know how else to explain it you and others like you. As a non-Christian, I should not be subjected to Christian/biblical law. As a law-abiding citizen I will follow the secular (not based on Christianity or any other religion) law of the land. I strongly believe that people should be able to do as they please, granted that it’s between consenting adults and that their acts do not adversely affect others and society by extension.
You say that God has a plan of salvation for the human race, I am sure you want to be saved, that’s your prerogative. I on the other hand, don’t want to be saved by anyone, especially the GOD of the bible. Quote as much as you want from the bible, it means nothing to me. Why should I get my morality from a book based on lies and mistruths?
I really want you to answer this question for me, as a Christian do you think another religious text eg the GITA be used as a basis for secular legislation?
Rev. Donald Hill, you cannot compare your interpretation of the bible to the constitution or the law of the land. The Laws of the land is for every one (Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, Atheist etc.) and even the bible says to render to Cesar what is Cesar’s. your Faith in God is yours and cannot be imposed on others as law. This kind of thinking has given rise to ISIS and the Taliban.

The good Lord will surely bless you all for this profound statement. We as children of God should and must let our voices be heard as it pertains to this fiasco that the highest court of the land just passed. While we are taught in God’s word to love all, we must let the world, and these people in power that God’s word is being violated. In the Old Testament entire nations were destroyed for these same violations of His word. We have to thank our Redeemer Jesus Christ for standing between His Father and us today. Had it not been for the blood of Christ I believe we would not be here wondering what next. Let us who are waiting for His return stay ready. Most if not all of the major prophecies are being fulfilled, which tells us that He is soon to return for us. Until then keep praying and Be blessed.
