Schedule of activities to celebrate 233 years of Methodism

PRESS RELEASE: As part of the celebration of 250 years of Methodist in the Caribbean and 223 years of Methodism in Dominica, the Circuit Youth and Young Adults Commission – the coordinating body of youth and young activities in the Methodist church has organised a series of activities to mark this grand occasion.

Among these activities are creative writing contest on the theme: Jesus the Light of the World, Choral Speech, Solo and Duet, Know Your Bible and  Know Your Church  Competitions. A play It only Takes a Spark written by Rev. Wycherley Gumbs and directed Steve Hyacinth will also form part of the this year’s activity.

These activities will kick off on Sunday March 21, 2010 with the Solo, Duet and Choral Speech Contest at the Methodist Church in Roseau on Sunday at 3:30 pm. where all the youth and Young Adult from all the Methodist congregations will congregate and be part of this grand event.  All Methodists and the general public are welcome to be part of the audience.
