Sex has become cheap

Greetings in the name of  Jesus  Christ.

Sex has become so cheap that we can talk openly about it anywhere or anytime.Too many people have no respect of this  wonderful gift God gave to man and women. It was never so growing up. Young people, try no sex before marriage and you will see how great it is.

There are little boys and girls that are  having sex when they should be playing with dolls and toys because their parents are talking about sex openly in front of them when they should be talking about God  and their education.

There are children that know more about sex than their parents; they walk half naked, their breast, their underwears are showing, etc… Why do  parents want their children to dress that way? When your children are young you control what they wear and how they dress, when they are grown they control what they wear and how they dress.

The wonderful gift of sex has become so cheap to some that it has no value at all (I said to some). Some keep saying ‘it’s just sex.’ Are you kidding me? What about pride, dignity, respect, sincerity?

Young people should leave sex to married  couples.

Love and best wishes to all and may God keep blessing Dominica always.

I thank Pastor Rawls for his article about sex. Some commentators wrote positive and encouraging words and I was blessed to read their statements. Unfortunately some wrote comments that mocked the man of God. How sad it is to find statements that approve of the sin the Bible calls fornication which include sex between a man and woman who are not legally married to each other. It is the creator who makes the rules we human beings must live by. God has said in His Word – not once but several times – “…they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.” Read the entire scripture in Galatians 5:19-21. It takes courage for a pastor to address such issues. May God surround him with strong believers who will hold up his hands. All Christians have a responsibility to teach the younger generation the moral standards God has revealled to us in the Bible. This is especially true of pastors and those in ministry. The matter of sexual behaviour is so important because it touches all areas of life. Good reputations are lost, STD cause long term suffering and sometimes death, young people have to drop out of school, career opportunities are lost, single moms are laden with financial burdens too heavy to bear, children are raised in one parent families, and governments are strained to provide assistance, all because of people who ignore the moral laws God gave us – not to rob us of our enjoyment – but to protect us and make our nation great. Those who keep themselves for the one they will marry and remain pure until their wedding night have the best marriages. Imagine the love this brings into a marriage knowing you have married somebody who has proven his (or her) respect for you! Imagine the security it brings into a marriage knowing the person you are married to didn’t sin with you before you were married so is not likely now to sin with somebody else! Bible believing pastors have so much to offer our world today they MUST not be silent! A generation that has lost its way would do well to listen. Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill. Pentecostal Evangelist.

i don’t think its a problem to talk about sex infront of ur children,it must have a limite yes, but i think it’s better if we educate them at home than we hide it from them and once they are outside they try it anywhere with anybody.

You say cheap and I say fun. Remember not everyone is relegious. I am but I am just saying. We need to stop imposing our way of life, culture and beliefs on everyone else. Just saying.

The Pastor is correct. Sex has indeed become cheap. It is not imposing our way of life on others. It is a moral way to live and of life. We need to teach the children correctly. It is our business.
Do it with anyone and at any time. Is this a good, moral way of life?
This is not what God had planned for us. People have abused it down through the years and today even worst yet. They view it as opening and closing a door and drinking a glass of water, etc. Nothing is sacred anymore, not even marriage and sadly so. This is what some humans have brought on themselves, their families and on the world. There is a price to pay, the price of lack of love, unhappiness, lack of peace, infidelity, promiscuity, AIDS and other genital diseases.
Our Lord said: “If we say nothing, even the stones will cry out.”
You claim to be religious. What type of religious person are you? What are you offering to the world or in your part of the world, most importantly, to God? You (we) are to lead souls home to God. What are you doing in this case?

BS article…Did this fool say: “Young people should leave sex to married couples”… So what happens if someone has no plans on getting married?? what then?: The should remain a virgin for the rest of their life?..If this fool had said: “sex should be left to responsible adults” then his argument would carry more weight…Pastor Rawls Pacquette you need to make use of the education I think you have.

Stop dissing the pastor. You should not say negative things against the one who has the interest of the Father at heart or is a disciple. If you were versed in your bible , you would know that fornication is a sin and not in conformity with our Fathers commandment. If you have no plans to marry then yes of course they should remain a virgin for the rest of their life. It is not responsible adults it is for married couple. You can be a responsible Adult and not married and then you should not have sex. Not because Pastor Rawls said it nor myself or any other Pastors says so. It is because the Lord God has commanded us not too. The Marriage bed is undefiled. So stop calling the pastor names and you should repent and be appologetic. You must not raise your hands against the Lord’s annointed . Let him know who is not annointed and he will deal with them. Be careful what you say about someone who is preaching the Gospel lest the Lord turns his wrath upon you.

    “This wonderful giftof sex”Pastor Rawls.
In one of the juice’s ads the young guy said don’t drink any juice around here when he accidentally emptied a kg bag of sugar in the juice when it ought o be pure cranberry juice.
Another ad he stars once more when his gran pa said that pomergrante fruit is an ancient fruit.
The young man said ” he would know” reffereing to his grand pa.
Pastor Rawl should know a thing or two about the gift of sex.

The Holy Spirit is not with him today

What nonsense, there is no way I can accept this theory of the Holy Spirit being a comforter. People jumping up and down in the sky saying it’s the Holy Ghost! The Comforter was another prophet to come, the same prophet prophescied by Jesus, John the Baptist and Moses peace be upon them. The comforter being with you forever has to do with the message.

I guest you are not to agree with my answer to you below, but you did ask for a Christian opinion and what else could I do, man? Because I do have a very different understanding of God’s Holy Spirit than you do, okay! But why did you mention Him in your comment here anyway?

Well I understand, and I know, that without the authority of God’s Holy Spirit, and by the faith of man in this world, God would be dead, or mankind is all doomed to the dust of their original form, eh!

But that is not true nah! Good heavens! God is a Living God, who controls His Church by the Power of His Holy Spirit, you see! O yes! Yes! Yes!

My Dear Muslim Friend: I am not writing with any ill feeling towards you or your people. But you have written harsh words about the faith I have given the past fifty years of my life to preach around the world. I have a responsibility to address your comments because I love your soul and want to meet you someday at Christ’s right hand. The Bible teaches – and Christians understand – that God is a Trinty consisting of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Trinity is not three Gods. The Trinity is one God in three Diving persons. Each of these contain all the attributes of God yet each relates to man differently. The Holy Spirit is active in our world today. One of the things He does is comfort those who are believers in Jesus Chist. This means that he encourages us and directs our lives. However, it is not necessary for you to understand all of this. What is important for you to know is that Jesus said, “…I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (St. John 14:6) He taught that we can only be saved – this means we can only have our sins forgive, have peace with God, and an eternal home in heaven – by believing that He died for us on the cross, and rose again victoriously from the dead. We must receive Him as our Saviour. The founders of other so-called great world religions have made their own claims and drawn to themselves many followers. But my Muslim friend this man – the man Christ Jesus – has unique credentials no other religious leader in the world ever had. He prophesied (predicted) His own death and told how He would die! On the morning of the third day angels rolled the stone away from the entrance to His tomb and the risen Son of God walked out! WHEN HE LEFT THAT TOMB HE VALIDATED ALL HIS CLAIMS INCLUDING THE CLAIM THAT HE IS THE ONLY WAY TO HEAVEN. If you don’t think there is evidence to support the belief of Christ’s resurrection I invite you to visit my website http://www.livinghopeministries.ca In the left margin click onto SERMONS. Then click onto my sermon MANY INFALLIBLE PROOFS. Listen to the evidence for the resurrection that lawyer after lawyer has said would stand up today in a court of law. This is why the great Apostle Paul wrote that in a coming day every knee will bow before Jesus Christ, and every tongue will confess that He is Lord…” (Philippians 2:10-11) Christianity is all about a God who loves you. He is a God you can know and have a relationship with. I am praying for you that my Saviour will become your Saviour to! Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill. Pentecostal Evangelist.

When we do not want to obey the injunctions of Allah, we will have more problems in our society.

Pastor frankly, it is impractical for many teenagers to wait till they reach 18 at least to get married.

I will cease from my suggestions because our people are not in my view spiritually mature to understand where I am coming from.

What I will say to the christian audience, if fornication is wrong according to the bible and that the fornicator/ress shall not enter the kingdom of God, what practical solutions do you suggest for boys and girls who are bursting with hormones? How should that be curbed?

    I await for a christian respond :)

      Muslim Always

My response to you is that “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” Romans 3: 23

Before the apostle said that, he explains that rightousness is achieved by faith our faith alone, not by our human strength or any good works that we can do.

But that is what you are always trying to explain, for example, through your idea of marriage before sexual conducts–even if a person is attending school, meaning 14, 15, 16 years old etc–as I have read from you several times–that people will not commit fornication.

Now it is not that I do not understand where you are coming from. You are telling people that righteousness can be achieved by upholding the Law, but the apostle Paul is telling the Church of Rome, no, that is not possible.

Paul’s teaching is that people will never attain Salvation or become righteous by upholding the Law–doing good works, because human beings are never going to be perfect, so they cannot obey the law perfectly, and yet perfect obedience is what God demands.

In other words, as you are teaching, two people will get married at 14 years old; and so, they are free to have sex–no fornication. The question is, will those two people continue in sex and marriage until they die? No matter how convinced two people at 14 years old would about love for each other, their chances of staying together until death do us part in this time and age is way out of sight yes!

And so the doors are opened in the lives of those two young for the other sin against God, which is adultry. Now what they only go married because they wanted to have sexual relationship, Love have nothing to do with it? Hence the sex that they are having is only for pleasure, satisfying the lust of the flesh; it does nothing for their Spirit–which continues to remain out of the question.

But Spiritual development, to know God and His ways of Love, must the primary concern of a human being. Jesus tells us, you must be born again, of Water and the Spirit. Knowledge of God and His Ways of Love is evidence that a human being has Eternal Life.

Now this Pastor Rawls Pacquette is just confusing the rest of us, who are searching for the Truth, when he tells us that: “Sex is a wonderful gift of God to man and woman”, and then he turns around and tell parents not to talk about sex infront of the children, but talk to them about God. What is in this man’s mind anyway?

Now, when a person is born again of Water and the Spirit, they are anointed by God’s Holy Spirit–God Essence, Love, which will begin to sanctify–cleanse their mind–that this mind will eventually come to accept the things of the Spirit–the Ways of Love–rather than accepting the things of the flesh. For the lust of the flesh–sexual conducts–is not of the Father, but it is of the World.

Now let us go back to the beginning: “For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God”, but righteousness comes by faith in Jesus Christ–not by obeying the law, because we would have to obey all of the law, and no human beings cannot do that! This means that if we are depending on living in Paradise, because we do the law, no one is going there. Believe it, or not!

That is why Jesus said: I came to fulfull the Law. In other words Jesus is saying is that He came to obey the Law on our behalf, so just believe in Him, sincerely, and by our faith and His Holy Spirit, He will teach us to live a Life will give God Almighty delight. We must become like Jesus Christ, that is why He said, “I am the Way the Truth and the Life” but this will only happen to us by our faith and our surrender to let God have His Way in us–not us doing things by our human strength.

I understand what you are concerned about, here, but like all the commentators are saying and your yourself, understand, it is not possible for a human being to fight away the passion of the flesh, and say I must wait until I am married. Because this world is a place where two people start to live together as husband and wife when they are 12 years old. Some people will never find a mate to marry, but they will have sexual desires. What does a rich man do, when he cannot find a mate, but there are prostitutes all around him.

But God is watching, and He knows the temptations of human beings, as in His Person of flesh and bones, Jesus Christ, He was tempted as well. Therefore, at His time God will use the faith of His chosen people to call them to Him, and His work, will be done in their lives.

Their first teachings, by the wisdom of faith, will be to stay humble, trustfull, and obedience, when God begins His work in His chosen person. As human beings we cannot force our beliefs of good works on our fellow man, because as we are trying to force them to do what we believe is good work, we ourselves are doing things that not good works in the sight of God.

At Jeremiah 31: 31-34. God Almighty spoke through His prophet Jeremiah, talking about His covenant with His people. And He said: I will put my laws in their mind and I will write it on their hearts. No one will have to teach his brother, saying know the Lord, for they shall all know me, from the first to the last.

This promised of God was established in this world on the Day of Pentecost, when Jesus poured His Holy Spirit to the world. The reason He suffered, bled, died, and went to the grave; Eternal Spirit raising Him on the Third Day. Those of who have found the Truth are to teach that truth, not what people like that the writer of this article is doing. But most of we must learn how to maintain hope on behalf of those who are perishing. God is doing His work of Salvation through His chosen people.

I type much slower than my mind and I make quite a few mistakes, but the one I would like to point out most importantly is where I meant to that

“this world is not a place where two people start to live as husband and wife when they are twelve years old”.

There are some other mistakes, but I hope that readers will be able to read the correct thing in their minds. I am sorry!

        • Muslim_Always
          April 27, 2011

Thank you Lizavier for addressing the issue however, no one is advocating to simple live by laws.

We have to synchronize belief and righteous actions and that is the teachings of Islam. Just as a christian has to abide by principles so to in Islam one has to abide by principles. The difference is Islam is a complete way of life which offers practical solutions on all levels be it militarily, socially, politically, ethically, economically etc.

Additionally, you say all this about the flesh and marriage however, I still did not see a practical solution for a 13 or 14 year old who has raging hormones. How does this person abstain or curb these sexual desires which is a reality without falling into fornication which is seriously a lust of the flesh?

Now if all these pastors claim that the Holy Spirit is God and it talks to them and lead them into all truth, how comes many of them speak so much nonsense?

What is all that babbling about, gosh. Do you read what you write and see if it makes any logic or sense or for once just reason without using religious dogma, does everything has to be based on your religious beliefs for it to be true, You know the certainty with which a religious belief is held is usually in direct proportion to its absurdity .

They should get married once they are not children. Bursting with hormones. Then being led by the flesh. If we are led by the flesh, then we will probably rape so do we just listen or obey our fleshy desires? Marriage is sanctified and it is intended to be a lifelong commitment – until death do we part. Can 14, 13 year old make such a committment. to talk about bursting with hormones is like submitting to our flesh desires which is not in conformity with what the Creator wants us to do. The young ones should be taught how to be spiritual and not give in to fleshy desires or as one might say curiousity or experimentation. Ones body both man and women should be a temple of the Holy Spirt. Thinking of our body as such , only then will we not yield to tempatations.

      • Muslim_Always
        April 28, 2011

@ ????: Are you saying just thinking that our body is the temple of the ‘Holy Ghost’ is sufficient? Are you serious in the 21st century? Is that a practical advice for an entire nation?

Still waiting for a christian to provide me with some practical guidelines :-D

That is the thing, many of these people are so ignorant, they criticize Islam so much regarding it’s approaches to dealing and providing a practical way for youths to accommodate their sexual urges. I have chosen to take a back seat because frankly our people are not spiritually mature, worst, they do not even know or read their own bible except what their pastors or priests tell them. Give me something practical instead of this ‘Holy Spirit’ gibberish.

Can I conclude that Christianity is so archaic and unrefined that I cannot get a proper answer? Are you telling me if your 12 year old or 14 year old comes and says ‘Mum/Dad, I feel very horny mostly everyday, it’s really hard for me to wait till I reach 21.’ What would you say to this young teenager? How ironic that a pastor is talking negatively about having sex with little children!

But on a serious note, while sex does not have to occur before marriage and can be a great learning and bonding experience if done safely and lovingly, I do think the pastor made a good point about children being exposed to ideas about sex very early on. Look at how young girls are told to dress by the media. They want to sexualize their bodies and make them look like much more mature women–like women. This isn’t wrong, per se, but it seems potentially dangerous, both for the child and for adults. Young girls shouldn’t want to sexualize their body at such young ages.

i said it before …..an eight year old initiated a conversation wit me about sex …. she pointed out that her cousin’s breast were bigger than mine then out of the blue she asked me me blue ..how do you not get preganant…i tried tricking her into believeing that the whole purpose of having sex was to have kids….she quickly made me know that she knows sex is for pleasure also..she continued to explain to me that her mother was a lesbean…….come gbetter than that pastor

sex is pleasurable so let’s face facts: people are going to do it!
instead of trying to do the impossible (getting people to abstain from sex ’til marriage),
why not be socially responsible and teach the young people who ARE having sex to
be safe by avoiding STDs and unwanted pregnancies?
People are going to have sex, married or single. In fact, unmarried sex is the best sex! how many of us have heard so many married couples complain that their sex life is non-existent?

“For I am merciful, saith the Lord, and I will not keep anger forever.” (Jeremiah 3:12)
“Ye have kindled a fire in mine anger, which shall burn forever.” (Jeremiah 17:4)

“If I testify about myself, my testimony is not valid.” (John 5:31)
“Jesus answered: Even if I testify on my own behalf, my testimony is valid.” (John 8:14)

“And Jesus coming, spoke to them, saying: All power is given to me in heaven and in earth.” (Matthew 28:18)
“the whole world is under control of the evil one.” (1 John 5:19)

And Jesus said, “For judgement I am come into this world.” (John 9:39)
“I came not to judge the world” (John 12:47)

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16)
“Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 6:1)
