Results of national electoral poll to be released

Alex Bruno (right) is pursuing his Ph.D in political science

The results of a national electoral poll which was conducted in Dominica by media professional and Political Scientist, Alex Bruno, in April 2017, will be released today.

The poll sought to determine which party candidates are best poised to win in the respective constituencies and which political party is projected to form the next Dominica government, should elections be held today.

These questions will be answered at a live media briefing at the National Development Foundation of Dominica (NDFD) Conference room in Roseau today, Monday May 29, 2017 from 11:00am to 12:00pm.

This “middle of the road and unbiased electoral snapshot,” according to Bruno, is a worthwhile document at this crucial period of electoral politics on the island of Dominica.

Media staff, reporters, journalists, politicians, political party staff other interest groups and individuals are invited to attend the press event with a view to participating in discussions following the presentation of the 85 page document which includes pictorial displays of statistical findings, recommendations and a conclusion.

The survey is a quantitative scientific exercise and was independently conducted.

Bruno said he commissioned this poll with one of the main functions being to present a responsible scholarly view of the state of affairs on the political landscape of Dominica.

“This is indeed a bold new chapter in the annals Dominica’s political history, where a home-grown political scientist presents significant work on an aspect of the island’s electoral process,” Bruno remarked.

I am all in favour of the poll, and it does not bother me one bit, who comes first or who comes last but, what is the aim behind the poll and what are you hoping to achieve?

Bruno is a political activist for the UWP so he begins this survey with a lie when he says it’s independent and unbiased. Please!!!!!

Well we all know home to be a operative of the UWP. But I am waiting to see if we have atlist one workers who can do something which is unbiased and fair for the first time.

Cus his police history shows how much he was involved with UWP as a police officer this is why Ms. Charles fired him.

And we heard his resent comments and views on the UWP and its actions.

      But let’s wait and see.

Because we know they are trying all they can to mislead the public with their misinformation.

But we will wait and see.

If his results is in anyway bias he is not hurting the DLP for sure because Dominicans already make up their minds as to who they voting already. We showed it in Portsmouth and Roseau not to long ago. But all he will be doing is damaging the credibility of his profession.

But wat I expect from him is “THE LABOUR PARTY IS IN THE LEAD BUT THE UWP IS CLIMBING” and mark u see how close he going to put it yea.

But again we don’t need him to tell us the…

Alex a political scientist? Man that is a new one to me. Alex I hope that it is of a better caliber than a Hon. doctorate from the Punjab my boy. What I would like to know is who paid you to carry out this poll. If you think that is rude question, well then I am rude.

Alex it’s hard to get a true pole in Dominica these days of fear and victimization. Put yourself in my place and even if you know you going to vote Skerrit out tell me if you would indicate so to any pole. So in that case I expect any pole to be in Skareit favor. Anything short of that would be a clear sign that the people are really fedup and can’t wait to vote the rascal out!
