Less than two years after its June 2011 debut, Secret Bay resort has received such high accolades from guests that it has earned the coveted top spot on TripAdvisor’s “Top 25 Small Hotels in the Caribbean” ranking in its 2013 Travelers’ Choice® Awards.

The Small Hotels category includes all Caribbean hotels with less than 30 rooms.

“We are extremely proud to have earned the prestigious distinction of being the number one choice of TripAdvisor’s discerning travelers in this category,” said Gregor Nassief, Owner and Founder of Secret Bay. “It is a testament to the beauty of its setting, our unconventional approach to the hotel concept and the dedication of our incredible staff and associates who ensure that the personalized, private experience we have sought to establish at Secret Bay is delivered to each and every guest. Apparently, the ‘secret’ is out!”

In addition to placing #1 in the Small Caribbean Hotels category, Secret Bay was also ranked #3 among the “Top 25 Hotels for Service in the Caribbean,” effectively placing over a number of well-known and established boutique properties in both categories.

To celebrate this and other recent accolades, Secret Bay has launched a number of new packages designed to appeal to experiential travelers from numerous niche market segments who seek authentic experiences and interaction with the local culture and environment on their vacations while showcasing the uniqueness of both Secret Bay and Dominica.

“Considering the overwhelmingly positive response to our product from our guests as well as from media, we decided to offer additional ways to customize the guest experience at Secret Bay,” continued Mr. Nassief. “We have also seen a large percentage of our guests coming specifically to commemorate a special occasion, such as an anniversary or honeymoon, so there are now more ways in which we can accommodate their specific wishes.”

Guests who have fallen in love with Secret Bay’s unconventional concepts and individualized yet inconspicuous service can now select from a variety of packages including love-infused Honeymoons, Anniversaries & More, fun-infused Family & Friends and spirit-infused Adventure and Nature. With names like Lover’s Escape, Vow Renewal, Twice the Fun, Hiker’s Paradise and Best of Both worlds, guests will want to immerse themselves in the comforts and seductions of these unrivalled escapes in a serene environment where connections and discoveries in nature await.

Secret Bay ensures that the guest experience remains tranquil and in harmony with nature in every aspect by offering a wealth of signature amenities and personalized yet discreet service. From a personalized cooking service to one-man jazz concerts all within the privacy of a guest’s home away from home, Secret Bay takes customization to a new level in the Caribbean to create an exclusive, one-of-a-kind vacation for each of its guests.

In addition to the 2013 Travelers’ Choice Awards, Secret Bay also received a 2013 Certificate of Excellence Award from TripAdvisor. Secret Bay has also won the impressive Development of the Year 2011 recognition at the Caribbean Hotel and Resort Investment Summit and has been featured in such top publications as Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue, Martha Stewart Living, The New York Times, National Geographic Traveler, The Knot and on NBC’s The Today Show. In 2012, it became the first property in Dominica to be named to the highly-regarded “It List” by Travel + Leisure.

I would say that it is on the east coast…..but exactly where? It doesn’t say on the website. It is very expensive…..and very nice if you can afford it.

The calmness of the sea would have told you that it is on the leeward coast. Infact, it is south- and close to Portsmouth, just off the main west coast road.

If you are able to buy a piece of “moving water” then you’ve got it made. Didn’t they say that this area is ‘private.’

Honestly, some of us are such a miserable lot. Instead of applauding success and be encouraged by it we only show envy and little initiative. The only person stopping you is yourself.

        July 3, 2013

Yes “SIGHS” you are so right about that. These people payed their employees next to nothing back in the day. They controlled the Banks and river banks. Big time exploiters. Their money can never finish. The wealth of the people of my Country have only benefited foreigners. Now the Chinese are scraping up the remains. Way to go “Leaders of Dominica.”

      • July 4, 2013

Hello. Anytime you hear anything it’s always people with family name recognition . It’s the same corrupt system where the power and money continue to circulate among a very few families .

Why you mad Sighs? you should be happy that a dominican has finally produced a world reknown product..regardless of their last name. Yo u were just giving praise in your earlier posts….now you sound mad cus is nassief. Alot of other locals have hotels…n look at the quality..dont press the guy and be a hater cus he got $ is able to bring a good product, good accolades and high end tourism to the island.

      • July 9, 2013

Hello. Keep giving us thumbs down and don’t face reality. The economy of Dominica is controlled by approximately TEN families and they will do anything to continue their dominance . Open your eyes my people.

Fantastic & well deserved! This has made my day It goes to show that quality sells and that one does not have to be the cheapest to be successful. The pursuit of excellence is rewarding and not only in monetary terms. The proof is right here! The way to go for all of Dominica. A big “thumbs up”.
