After Maria it seems Dominican’s have lost there way, shooting almost every month in 2019, my advice to your all is to ban the evil culture you call carnival, when you open the door for the devil he will gladly come in. Victory belong’s to Jesus :) .

I sincerely wish the young man a speedy recovery and the criminal elements who perpetrated this heinous act face the full force of the law.

During the reign of the Freedom Party and UWP (over twenty years ago) the police in Dca under Mr. Pierre had crime under control. Those days we had the bad boys from Grand Bay, St. Joe and mostly the west coat who got their start in crimes in Guada. Fortunately, our boys in blue (Duke, Butcher, Alpe, Andre, Edmund, Antoine Defoe, Simon Darroux, Insp. Hillaire alias Theft Act, Laudat) had things under control. Those were real policemen and I yearn for the day Chief Carbon would reach out to those of them still around for guidance. I am sure given the opportunity with no political interference those bad boys would cower in fear when the hear the name POLICE!

Commissioner Carbon, STOP playing politics and declare war against those criminals like Commissioner Gary Griffith in Trinidad is doing.

Why don’t we ever see police patrols in Dominica? Only in Roseau when cash generation is needed by the indirect taxing of tickets etc. Absolutely shocking and embarrassing that a country with a population of Dominica’s is not relatively crime free. Police patrols would at least reduce that sort of crime.

Ever since that so-called Workers party was form, Dominica 🇩🇲 has become a gunman paradise. That is why i am asking the government while building houses to home decent citizens, don’t forget to build a high top security jail House, to keep and protect our good citizens from these criminals enough is enough time to take them off the streets.

Which UWP? the one from the 90’s? or the one from more recent times? because this new one holds no government ministers who are able to pass laws or bride or influence policemen, nor does it have any of the old members in it today. It is a brand new party, just like how Labor was a brand new party when they won in 2000. So what are you talking about? Record shows that the gang members and majority of the major drug pushers support the DLP. They were even in charge of rations handing out in their respective communities on behalf of the DLP. One was even given a truck and hifi and money so that he and his friends could drive around roseau in support of …….. So, what are you really talking about when you say since the UWP was formed? Dominica always had violence and drugs, but not like how we have it today. Never like how we have it today. When you have them man walking into the financial center how they want, bypassing security because they have become regulars there.

Man bites dogs your name suits you very well your comments are so idiotic it’s not funny , i am not a supporter of the ” workers Party ” but to tie in gunman with a political party that left office almost 20 years ago is senseless . The present administration should put things in place such as steeper penalties , to include long jail time and weeping their Ass going in and getting out of jail., enforce capital punishment and so on so as to stop that dam nonsense of a few illiterates going around the place shooting people. Put some sense in your empty head and refrain from making such stupid, senseless and irresponsible comments

If Dominica could talk, she would ask, ” Why Oh Why are my children not being protected from all this lawlessness?” Where would she look for answers? Who would she hold responsible? What would she recommend to correct the plight that her children are going through today?
Oh Dominica please talk to us or send us a sign!

No law no constitution will stop me from becoming the P.M
A fish gets rotten from the head , so this is the decadence that we are seeing as far as lack of respect for law and order from the head. So we have to decide which part of the fish to get rid of. wake up Dominicans before we become like Jamaica.
When the people are ready to lead the leaders will follow.

These shootings have become a frightening norm. What is so sad is that there are no new crime fighting initiatives to combat this frightening trend. No efforts should be spared to extinguish this dangerous inferno. Crime does not discriminate; it affects everybody. Every man, woman and child should try to contribute to the reduction of crime in Dominica. The government should lead on this issue and not be found wanting as is the case right now.

Stop that rubbish with workers party. Who is the minister of national security? A warlord what do you expect in a lawless country where no law no constitution can prevent you from doing anything. Let the games begin tell your PM to give Dominica back to God.

Ibo, we have our officers in St.Kitts helping them get their crime wave under control but ours are spiraling out of control. Instead of creating a DLP Republican Guard (New Protective Service Unit in the CDPF), the government should do as St.Kitts did initially and bring in the retired, resigned officers who want to assist bring that madness under control. They are already trained and know the rules. We are losing our security in Dca and regardless of our political colors we should all agree to take on the criminals head on.

I agree that much more can be done as the safety and security of Dominicans should be the top priority of the government. Only a determined and a sustained effort by the relevant authorities plus the support of the citizenry will Dominica realize a steep decline in crime. Presently, the government is singularly focused on being re-elected, everything else is secondary. Dominicans will always get shabby treatment from any party in power as long as they remain docile. Nothing a government fears more than an enlightened, dynamic population. The people have the power but they sit on it.
