UPDATE: Small aircraft goes down in sea off Marigot

Local search party goes out to look for the aircraft

Reports indicate that a small aircraft went down in the sea off the coast of Marigot earlier this evening.

French media have reported that there were four people on board the small Piper passenger plane – two pilots and two passengers. The information also indicates that one of the pilots is from Guadeloupe.

According to the report, the aircraft was leaving Dominica to return to Guadeloupe after a day trip organized by the “Ailes de Guadeloupe” club.

A search is underway for the missing plane.

DNO will bring you more information as soon as it becomes available.

Here is a passage in the bible that describes the very sad state of Dominica and will no doubt help us understand the constant sad news from Dominica: Revelation 18:2-3

2 With a mighty voice he shouted:
“ ‘Fallen! Fallen is Babylon (Dominca) the Great!’
She has become a dwelling for demons
and a haunt for every impure spirit,
a haunt for every unclean bird,
a haunt for every unclean and detestable animal.

    Cause of the fall:
3 For all the nations (Dominica) have drunk
the maddening wine of her adulteries.
The kings (PM’s and Presidents) of the earth committed adultery with her,
and the merchants of the earth grew rich ( they get rich while they make us poor) from her excessive luxuries.”

I wonder if that small plane was not bringing in unclean money or what is known as blood money? I just wondering OK?

    February 16, 2020

Condolences to the families of the ones who lost their lives tonight. May they rest in peace. It should be a shame on us for the outside world to c that rescue Comes from the boats of local fishermen. We had millions running campaign but our airport has no equipments and gears, machines or transportation for search and rescue. I’ll leave that right there.

When i read these types of jack donkey behind kinda comments it mads me with shame of some of you’ll types of people,it didn’t occur to you that was an emergency, and the people involved where doing a first response operation,no that was to hard for you to think about, your ego would be better served on DNO if you got your two sense politically,if you all feel that you all can run the country, get involved in the process, get on the ballot, this reminds me of when you watching sports, the best players are always on the sidelines.

So the small boat in picture is our coast guard? Also is the fire truck seen in the picture is a submarine that is capable of going in the water to look for the plane? Skerrit making me laugh wii. But those idiots 😡 in the DIASPORA worse than him because they know Skerrit closed the Marigot hospital, we don’t have helicopter, coast guard is like a pwee pwee and yet those idiots risked their lives to come and vote him

More we have more we getting. Things already so damn bad, with no helicopter, no hospital, no coast guard close to our airport and even if people survived the crash the time it would take to rescue them would no doubt lead to their death. I see Skerrit has fire trucks on site but I don’t know if these fire trucks are submarines. Boy Dominica is such a mess

You can have all the modern facilities in place but possible human error and poor maintenance of a plane always come into play. We do not know the condition the plane was in..neither do we know if it was pilot error.
For the past year ….2019..there were a spate of crashes in the US of these small planes. Where modern facilities..hospitals…coast guard exist.

No excuses Sakah, we should have facilities in place. Mistakes witll always happen, things will always go wrong, that is nature… but to be totally unprepared when things like this happen, that shows a total lack on competence from the authorities… Blessings to the local fishermen who took on the task of the authorities because our infrastructure is not fit for purpose

Was not making any excuses. I do agree that there should be facilities in place to take care of disasters like these. However, when they do, it should not be used for political mileage as the families of these people may be reading these posts. That’s not good!!.
