2012 Secondary Schools Table Tennis Championships coming

The 2012 Secondary Schools Table Tennis Championships will be held the St. Gerard’s Hall from Tuesday 7th – Thursday 9th February 2012.

This annual competition which is organised by the Sports Division will feature competition amongst the Secondary Schools at both the team and individual level. Team competitions will be done at the Under 14, U-16 and U-20 age categories.

The championships will start off with an opening ceremony at 2:30 pm on Tuesday 7th and will continue over the next two days – starting at 2:30 pm daily.

During 2011 championships, the Portsmouth Secondary School won all but the U-16 boys title; this was won by the North East Comprehensive School.

Dane Taylor of the Dominica State College won the Boys Open Singles title while Phibbisha Joseph won the Girls Open Singles title.

    That’s a good thing! Keep the youths occupied & out off trouble. It’s better than watching TV and playing endless vedeo games!!
