The regular season of the 2010 LIME-sponsored National Basketball League concluded on Wednesday last week. However, the official closing ceremony of the season will take place this Saturday, October 16 at Lindo Park from 6 pm.
The Dominica Amateur Basketball Association (DABA) will be recognizing and presenting trophies for the following:
1. Premier Division Champion (National Champs) The Glam X-Men
2. Division 1 Champion – Gloria Shillingford Raptors
3. 2nd Place Premier Division -Paix Bouche Eagles
4. 2nd Place Division 1 – Raffoul Snipers
5. Premier Division Regular Season Champion – The Glam X-Men
6. Division 1 Regular Season Champion – Salisbury Juggernauts
7. Ballarama Champion – The Glam X-Men
8. Top Scorer Premier Division-Lynvor John
9. Top scorer Division 1 -Dean Vidal
As part of the closing ceremony the DABA will be organizing two games that evening, a playoff all-star team from each division will play the champion team of each division.
The following players have been selected to be part of the Premier Division All-star team to play The Glam X-Men: Shammal Tonge, Hakim Dangleben, Ramal Carbon of Pros, Ricky Toussaint,Sean Espirit, Denver Dublin,Javeed Joseph of Blazers, Kervin St Hilaire, Johnny Alfred of Sonics, Lynvor John, Andel George, Earl Mathew of Eagles and Royce Ceasar, Neverson Jno. Baptiste of Sharks. Coaches are Egbert Charles and Ryan Anslem.
And the All-stars selected for the Division 1 team to play the Gloria Shillingford Raptors are: Jason Samuel, Peter Rickets, Kelsy Guye of Starz, Kelver Darroux. Jerry Wright of Hurricanes, Hendricks Holsborough, Lenin Paul, Dave Alexis, Shane Ferrol of Snipers, Dean Vidal, Sheldon Vidal, Esmound Andrew of Juggernauts and Shane Guiste and Darell Thomas of Original X-Men.
The games will begin at 6.30 pm.
