As a fan of the game of basketball, I think soo many things need to be changed in this league. There are players with absolutely NO discipline. The team from … shoudl be ashamed of the lack of sportsmanship they displayed.Even threatening the young men from Salisbury with violence. What is the DABA doing about that? And I have read the rules sent by the DABA to the teams and I do believe one of the rules was that any player who kicks or tosses a ball needs to get suspended. Rules should apply to everyone. And also if fans cannot control themselves then there should be rules for them to get ejected. We need to have some sense of professionalism in these games else our young athletes will never learn anything. I appreciate the DABA giving our young men an avenue to show their talents but there need to be enforcement of some serious rules. Juggernauts displayed the kind of sportsmanship that should be an example to other teams, not just in basketball.
I think it’s good that Coach Garth plays in the DABA. It helps raise the level of play. He is a great coach. He is tough & don’t put up with nonsense but he truly does care about all of us in his program. He checks our grades, he stays in contact with our parents, he encourages us to do better. He does deserve to be respected for what he does for us.
DNO needs to do a better job at keeping crazy people from posting on here!
I’m looking forward to watching some great basketball here in Da this weekend!!! See you in the park.
So proud of the Sweetbry poise. Go men go – 100% support on the ground and overseas. We appreciate your desire and zest for the game. Salisbury Ahead! Salisbury Ahead!
@John:
garth is still playing…that is great to hear! i am glad he is doing what he loves so much..it would be better if he was spending his time and energy taking care of his son and daughter here in america though!..all that effort spent on the court could be put into the two kids he does not have custody of..his own namesake age 12 and oldest daughter age 8….
way to go garth..i am happy so many see you as a God.. in your country…. because you are not seen as a God here in mine…but if worshipping you would somehow encourage you to send child support my way …i will suck it up and do it..where should i go to church first? your son and daughter will be happy to accompany me i am certain..how many times do i have to write to get your attention to the kids????????

the bawie boys showed wat discipline is all about despite the many calls that went against them and the opposin team’s effort to intimidate them congrats Juggernauts and JAH guideE
@Dave
Stop being a hater because Robbo team is out of the playoffs. Robbo could not even run his team to get them to the playoffs, his silly mistakes as a coach has him out of the playoffs. His ego got the best of him, he made bad player choices, and that his problem, nothing to do with the way basketball is run. The team that is there is very competent and the league is going very well. The playoffs are very exciting.
PLEASE PLEASE Make a constructive comment instead, you need to stop being ignorant.
The spectators need to read up to date FIBA rules before they make accusations. Passion for the game is always going to have it’s effect, if their team loses then they have to find something to blame. This was even more evident in the game 1 with starz and paix bouche. They blame the referees when they did so much shit, curse and carryon with no discipline. Same with the sharks, from the time the game started Boon did not concentrate on the game all he did was call on the referee. Why didn’t they play with the same intensity as they did the game before.
They need to stop looking to the referee, play hard, play your game, and if a call goes againt you, go get it back, don’t sulk at the referee. DO like Paix Bouche snipers, play good clean bastetball, very talented, not once they will make noise and curse on the court, not with themselves or with the referees, they just keep going harder even when they are down.
They were way down on Saturday at Paix Bouche, Starz had no right to loose that game, not with the lead they had. Snipers discipline and prowess got them through, and made them win. Starz should take this as a big example. All the cursing one another, blaming referee, and dirty play they try will not win them the game.
@DAVE All the refs in Dominica need to be go through training there is always bad call against both teams. The DABA needs to look at getting our refs trained by FIBA.
Garth Joseph played 13 years of professional basketball. No one treats him like a God, but he does deserve to be respected for all the time & energy he puts in to training the youth & the work he’s doing to get some of those young people scholarships. I believe 5 or 6 of the young men he’s trained are currently on teams in the playoffs.
And if you think Robo did a better job of running the league than Dave Baron is doing than you really don’t know anything about basketball!!!
well done bawi massive continue making our village proud……………………the vidals always lead
This Tournament is not what we expected. the refrees were too one sided for the game Sharks and X Men. All the calls went against the sharks. Garth joseph who played a lil lil lil professional basketball is viewed and respected as a god with Mickey Joseph the pro as his coach. this league is a mess. I regret taking out Robo. Robo we need u back
Dean Vidal and Sheldon Vidal…. my family!!!!!!!!!!…. congrats to you all!… wish i was there to attend the games
Poise is definitely the right word to describe Juggernauts temperament at the game. They could have folded down the stretch when a few calls went the other way and Raptors slowly cutting into the lead. GO BAWI
JUGGERNAUTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! To The WOOORRLLLLLD!!!!!!
