BASKETBALL: Two teams qualify for playoffs

In an interesting night of basketball on Saturday, two teams qualified for the semi-finals in the playoff round of the LIME National Basketball League.

Game 1 – Solo Auto Starz made light work of Kelver Darroux Hurricanes which lost one of their top players that evening and lost by 29 points. Final scores: Starz 83 points and Hurricanes 54 points. Top-scoring for Starz were Jason Samuel 16 pts, Straun Gregoire 15 pts and Dawyne Peter 14 pts and for Hurricanes Jerry White 25 pts and Kelver Darroux  10 pts.

Game 2 – LIME Pros got the better of Pakya Marigot Sonics 58 points to 51 points. By virtue of this victory Pros will move in to the semi-finals to play the Paix Bouche Eagles in the Premier Division. Top-scoring for Pros were Hakem Dangleben 20 pts, Ted George 14 pts and Shamal Tonge 10 pts, and for Sonics Johnny Alfred 11 pts and Kevin Alfred 8 pts.

Games will continue on Wednesday with the first semi-finals:

Game 1 – 7.00pm Solo Auto Starz verses Raffoul Snippers
Game 2 – 9.00pm Lime Pros verses Paic Bouche Eagles.

    yes pros congrats make me proud secure that win u know we got a bone to pick wid the eagles and i wish i was there cause i want them so bad i only play them once plz pros distroy them for me win this one for u all supper star #9 best of luck
