PSG (Petit Soufriere/San Sauveur and Good Hope) United has had first strike in the Castle Bruce Football League now underway.
PSG beat Kalinago Warriors in the first game which was played at the the Sikwi Playing Field.
They beat Warriors 5 goals to 1. Sharma Dangleben scored 3 goals and Kevin Robins scored 2 goals for the PSG United, while Kevon Rolle scored the lone goal for the Kalinago Warriors.
Athalie George, one of the organizers said he is pleased with the response they have received in hosting this league. He said that many promises were made by potential sponsors, which they look forward to receiving. He said that they have started the league to show sponsors they (the Castle Bruce Football league organizers) are serious.
“Everything is organized with regards to game and teams. We just waiting for the sponsors to come on board. So everything ready; everything is organized. Everything is on the way for us to see [a] good 2019 Castle Bruce Football League”, George told DNO.
The league will continue every weekend with four games each weekend until September 2019. The Castle Bruce Football league started in 2012 but did not take place for two years as a result of Hurricane Maria.
Football supporters, fans and community are encouraged to go out to cheer on for their favourite team.
The League runs from July to September.
The African features are very prominent. Thick lips and broad nose.
